I had rotted wooden laps on the back of my house. It was a smaller job, just the rear of the house. Because of a price differential, I went with vinyl instead of replacing with wooden laps. You can't tell the difference except up close. TCSR did a fantastic job. They were timely and answered all of my questions.

In June 2006, Twin City Siding Professionals (now known as Twin City Siding and Roofing) did a superb job residing our house with Hardie Plank Lap Siding with a "Beaded" bottom edge (currently called Beaded Select Cedarmill). Hardie siding was fairly new at that time in this area, but we were sold on the cement fiber material to cure the ant and woodpecker issues that we had experienced with our pervious cedar siding. The curb appeal was and remains hands down superior to other choices. Nineteen years later and we remain extremely pleased with both the product and the outstanding craftmanship during every aspect of the project.

This past week, I called to ask where I could purchase caulking to match the "Timber Bark" factory color. The next morning, Jeff Anderson dropped off 2 tubes free of charge - some 35 miles from their office on his way to work. Now that is customer service! Thank you.

What a difference TCSR can make to your home! We are thrilled with our new window wraps and decided to update before a major exterior paint project. Such a great decision. In early spring 2023, Twin City Siding Professionals completed the replacement of our siding, windows and roofing. They did an outstanding job. Recently, they returned to complete a minor adjustment to allow access to a fresh air intake filter, which was blocked by a row of siding. They were timely, quick, and efficient completing the repair. I am very satisfied.

We worked with Twin Cities Siding and Roofing for new Marvin windows and doors. It started with an estimate that was very complete and thorough. Scheduling was set to meet our needs and there was never an appointment not kept. Most importantly, the work was exceptional. They identified damaged wood around the windows and repaired it completely. The new fit, insulation, flashing etc was all completed to perfection. The interior stain and finish work was as good as I've seen. When the project was finished, every aspect of the new windows and doors connected siding, caulking and painting was better than we could have expected. Jordan Stenzel coordinated the project so there was never a surprise and he supervised activity making sure we were satisfied. He was excellent. Updated: After our successful siding install in March, we contracted with TCSR again for the replacement of the ridge cap and vent on our roof. We worked with Terry and Jordan in getting the project set up. The work was completed in just a few hours and it turned out good. Once again, the job quality was great!

We had Twin Cities Siding and Roofing rip off all of our aging, ugly stucco and replace it with Hardie plank. It was a huge task, and they did an amazing job. We've had bad experiences with contractors in the past, so we were very nervous, but Jordan, Ben, AD, Jose, and everyone else we worked with were great. The communication was great, and the crew was on site every day. They took care to address our worries, and didn't get flustered when we found the inevitable bits of rot and other issues. TCSP did a great job re-siding our house. The project manager, Brent Nelson, provided options to manage the overall costs, and was very responsive and personally visited the project when we had questions.

Updated 02/2024: After ongoing issues, I would not recommend that anyone work with this company. We've had issues with the quality of the job and especially with customer service to resolve these issues.

We worked with them on our roof and an exterior door last fall, which went well in terms of installation. However, we had a lot of communication issues with our project manager, Mike H, who was generally not responsive. At one point, I called the main office because communication stopped. We were coming up on the end of the season and wanted to make sure we got the work done. When he had first came to look at the roof, we also asked about a quote for flat roof. We never got one. We reminded him. He said he'd work on it. Eventually it was so late in the season and we just wanted to make sure our regular roof was finished, so we dropped it.

In April, I followed up with him again about the flat roof. No response. I called the company and asked to work with someone else. We started coordinating with someone new. It's now June, and we still don't have a quote, although they have promised to get us the quote multiple times now.

Update June 22: After following up with the main office, we were able to connect with the project manager, who apologized and made an effort to remedy the situation, which we appreciated. We were eventually connected with their sister company and given a digital quote through them. However, it was triple what another company quoted.

Update February 2024: After the apology, we had some issues with our roof, particularly our chimney flashing, which two chimney professionals said was not correctly caulked, although our chimney also needs repair. We've been waiting since October to have it fixed. The project manager came out months later to look and told us to get the chimney repaired, which we already knew, but forgot to caulk the chimney. He hasn't replied since.

I had a bunch of detailed questions about an insurance settlement for replacement siding. Kristen and Terry were incredibly responsive and professional and gave me straight answers to all my questions. It was a pleasure to consult with them.

Top-notch work with excellent customer service. The entire process --start to finish--was beyond awesome. The house looks amazing and all people involved were readily available to answer my questions and help with any additional needs I had. I highly recommend Twin Cities Siding Professionals.

I've waited about six months to post this review, just to be sure of the quality of their job.

About ten years ago we hired TCSP for a major residing / renovation project in North Oaks, and they really came through. Beautiful job!

So it was an easy decision to hire them again for another project beginning the spring of 2022, this time to renovate our deck and create a dry room underneath. They were punctual, neat and pleasant. The job was done exactly right, on time and on budget.

I highly recommend TCSP and certainly will be contacting them again for my next project.

Very professional, quality craftsmanship and just overall pleased with the work done replacing siding and trim on our home. We felt like they were partnering with us, listening and understanding what we wanted done vs. just telling us what we needed to have done. The painting looks great and they helped to identify a color we're really happy with.They were also very good about communicating with us throughout the project. We often did walk arounds as the project progressed, and when we'd point things out that might have been missed or disconnected, it was taken care of no later than the end of the entire project. We have been totally pleased with this entire project; from starting with the sales rep going through all the options, choices, etc., to explaining the entire project steps. We were fortunate that this company has done work with other neighbors, so we were able to experience first-hand the quality of their work. Then we had a complete walk-around with the Project Manager explaining in detail what's going to take place and answers any questions that we may have had. Next, to work side-by-side with the site foreman that showed us firsthand any issues that arose and options in how to correct them. (Not to "micro-manage" this crew but to be available to answer questions to issues that arose.)
It's a major investment into your home, but it's a brand-new house on the outside and it can only help with the resale if/when we decide to move!!!

The work the actual crew does is fine, the problem we experienced was how unusually long the project took, the extremely poor (practically non-existent) communication from TCSP "project manager" and issues that TCSP and/or their recommended subcontractors wouldn't take responsibility for and not doing what they say they will do.

SALES
First I'll touch on the sales and design experience. At first I was really impressed by our salesperson. He seemed very knowledgeable and interested in our project. This all changed once we had agreed to move forward with them. With all the siding contractors I had asked if they have design services. Our salesperson said they did however when it came down to finalizing colors and materials he acted like we were really putting them out asking for a 3d design model so we could visualize the end result. We had to provide our own 3d drawing and try to update it ourselves... GREAT SERVICE (sarcasm).... anyway the fact that they were reluctant to provide a 3D design showing exactly what materials go where lead to a misunderstanding and ultimately disappointment for us. Of course the salesperson blew this off because "they didn't note" something we had requested when we were walking around the house... OK so they're lack of notation is my problem? Lessoned learned, get everything in writing from these guys.

ELECTRICAL
TCSP did the disconnect, left pieces of old electrical outlets strung out all over the place. They didn't note when there was an externally mounted outlet which lead to a still unresolved issue when the electricians cam in and replaced the outlets putting in a regular outlet (back to back with an indoor outlet = no insulation, a draft coming into our house through the outlet and ice on the indoor outlet (you'd think they'd take this hazard seriously and want to get it resolved but no).

**Update: The electrician resolved the frozen interior outlet issue 1/23/23**

SIDING, SOFFIT, FASCIA
Our siding project was delayed 2 weeks due to missing material. This was during material shortage so we figured - makes sense - no big deal. However, delays, false statements about materials being on hand or not lead to a lot of confusion that the lack of communication and conflicting statements from our "project manager" did not help. "The material is in, we'll have a crew their next week." Next week rolls around and nothing. No email from the "project manager", no voicemail, nothing. Every single phase it seemed was a new ****show of disorganization. This project started in June and was finally completed (minus one problem TCSP or their electrical contractor has yet to take responsibility for) this January.

GUTTERS
All downspouts had been removed during a rainy time of the season for the soffit and fascia install. The "project manager" said he'd send someone out to temp up the downspout when the soffit and fascia were done so we wouldn't have water damage. They didn't, predictably, so I had to do it myself. Gutters were fine, once they were installed.

"Project Manager"; why in quotes?
Not to be annoying but because our project manager didn't seem to actually "manage" our project. If he had, all the issues we had would have been resolved or avoided altogether. He does not communicate adequately. He makes false promises, then ghosts you when you wonder where they are. I would never work with these guys again. I seriously wonder if I just got the two worst people they have or if others have experienced the same thing.

Very pleased. Craftsmanship is excellent. Having never done this before, I appreciated being offered options and given advice. They are very trustworthy and conscientious. I would highly recommend Twin Cities Siding Professionals.

James Hardie is an excellent product, but the installation is what makes the product look and perform at its best. Twin Cities Siding Professionals did a fantastic job replacing our old 1960s cedar plank with James Hardie siding. They were very thorough in their craftsmanship and were detailed oriented. The whole team was responsive to our needs and were readily available for questions and any concerns were addressed promptly. They were able to finish our project in the agreed upon timeframe. Our house that was built in 1960 looks brand new. We would definitely recommend them for your home improvement needs.

TCSP replaced our existing lap board and cedar shank siding in 2010 on our house built in 1913. The job was involved and detailed to keep the character of the original exterior. I was impressed with the detailed flashing including over the 1st half floor stucco and window frame wrapping. They also introduced a 2nd band board trim between the 2nd floor and 3rd floor attic to accent the transition between the 4" reveal hardie lap board and the hardie shakes for the attic. Our salesman was very informative of the whole process and problem solved a good many of the challenges. From there the expert crew took over and worked diligently until all work was completed to the standards I had been promised. Now 10 years later the prefinished paint still looks great and the entire house looks like it did when the job was completed. What a great value - it achieved my goal of a house exterior that needed near no maintenance.

TCSP replaced the siding, fascia and soffits on our home 15 years ago.
We have reaped the benefits of the quality of their materials, and their professional and caring approach ever since. The siding looks like it was replaced yesterday. We still have the original paint. We recently needed to repair some siding and soffit damage caused by an improper gutter installation (by others). TCSP provided small quantities of James Hardie materials so we didn’t have to buy larger bulk quantities. They also provided advice that enabled us to deal with the repair, as part of the gutter replacement. They were just as professional and customer oriented today as they were 15 years ago. Truly amazing in today’s business climate. Thank you!

This was the second time we have worked with TCSP. The first occurred about four years ago when they replaced our old siding with James Hardie. They did an excellent craftsmen-caliber job on that project. This time around, we had incurred some weather damage to some of the siding as a result of MN winter weather. As they did before with the installation, TCSP was just as business-like and thorough when doing a repair. Revenue-wise, this project did not put much in the bank for them, but their installer/service pro was every bit as focused on the detail as the installation team was. He actually made a couple of changes that improved the appearance of how the siding interfaces with our patio and made it less likely that we will have any future repair issues there.

TCSP installed our James Hardie siding seven years ago, as well as the soffit, fascia, and trim. They replaced a few rotted windows and demoed a structure too. They did a super job, and it has held up very well, with ongoing savings from not having to paint as well as better energy efficiency from the tight install. If I had to write a review using one work it would be AMAZING. In the worst winter ever, I decided to side my house. The reason for doing it in the winter, I have wonderful gardens and didn't want to loose a season. These guys were here EVERY SINGLE DAY (did I mention worse winter ever, below zero temps, windy, and snowing). Worked longer than 8 hours and weekends just to get my house finished. The crew was respectful, courteous, caring and great tradesman. I am so glad I didn't settle for anything else. Can't wait to see what the new siding does as a backdrop to the gardens. PLEASED beyond measure!

TCSP is a company you can trust. I felt that they cared about my project from start to finish, but what really impressed me was their high standards. After they started putting on the siding, our foreman (Craig) noticed some imperfections in the materials. These were small imperfections and something I noticed but didn't think twice about until he called it out. Another company might have continued with the job and waited to see if the customer said anything, but Craig and Curt stopped work right away, ordered new product, explained to me what was happening, and gave me an adjusted timeline for completion once the new siding arrived. The end product is fantastic and our 100+ year old house is revitalized. We spent over a year talking to TCSP about our project and I met with Rob (sales) multiple times. I lost track of how many times I emailed Rob with questions or to have him run costs from me "one more time" after I had changed my mind about something. Rob responded immediately and provided thorough answers and walked me through my options patiently. I never felt pressured and TCSP provided fair discounts for any work that I wanted to complete myself. Curt (project manager) was available to me by phone/text throughout the project and walked me through everything before they started work. Craig (foreman) and Corey managed to make all the weird angles and imperfections on our house look neat, and that is saying something. The job site was spotless every day and when I noticed one small problem after the work was completed, they came back immediately and fixed it right away. I would highly recommend TCSP to anyone considering installing Hardie Board on their house. With a job as important as residing your house, you want to know that it is done right. TCSP uses the recommended materials, and has the expertise to give you that peace of mind.

My husband and I had a massive project this summer: New expensive windows, new siding and a new roof. TC Siding was far superior to the other two experiences. Twin Cities Siding Professionals (TCSP) recently finished the residing of our mid-80's vintage house. Based on experiences with other contractors in the past, TCSP is the paragon of what one wants in a contractor, and provides outstanding value. Project estimation and planning was a clear and well-documented process. As project start neared, timely confirmation of finish preferences and other details (windows, doors, etc.) minimized surprises. Curt, Bryan and Steve (the crew most frequently on-site) were courteous, engaging, adaptable and efficient professionals. My wife and I very much appreciate the product of their labors. Recently, a fellow out walking his dog stopped to chat while I was in the front yard. He indicated he was the developer/contractor who originally built the house, and he lives nearby. He volunteered that he was impressed by the transformation TCSP had wrought. I think that says something.

With Minnesota cold winters siding is a big deal and you want the job done right---Our home was a big job and we would do it all over again in a heartbeat! From the first person that came to our house to give us an estimate we could tell this group stood out from all the other groups we had out for estimates. Our consultant was professional, polished and extremely knowledgeable. This person followed up with us quickly and when he said he would. We continued to work with him throughout the decision process. Once we decided to go with this company we were introduced to the people that would take over our project from there. In spite of special circumstances where we were not there locally for the panning, the process was never compromised and nothing fell between the cracks. Every person from the office staff, to the project manager, to the crew were professional, responsible, reliable, and very skilled. Our neighbors commented how impressed they were with the crew while at our home. They worked hard in spite of all kinds of weather, were respectful and cleaned up daily before leaving. At the completion of the project they made sure that every minute detail was taken care of and even did a couple extra things to make sure I was satisfied.

The bid from this company was more expensive than the others we received. We are so thankful that ultimately we chose a quality product and installation. It was well worth the little extra money to know that this company stands behind their product and workmanship. It certainly was a joy working with all of the Twin City Siding Professional staff.

Wow - very impressed with the whole process of getting our siding and windows replaced. Working with the project manager Curt and siding professional Angelo our house is now updated.
Using pictures from another house they were able to recreate the same style we were looking for on our bay windows.
No issues were too small for them to assure us that it was taken care of.
Would recommend to use them for your siding and windows needs.

I would highly recommend working with TCSP. We recently contracted with them for a total siding and windows replacement on our 1.5 story home in NE Minneapolis...a project that I was initially very nervous about, having recently moved to the area with no knowledge of or experience with local contractors. Every step of the process, from their initial visit...to the final walk-through, far exceeded our expectations. Chad, who we met with initially, clearly communicated all siding/window options available. He asked us many questions to get a feel for the type of product we wanted and pointed out differences between product levels without pressuring or upselling. Curt, our project manager, was beyond helpful during the planning phase of our project. His attention to detail, with both material and $ details, helped us feel entirely comfortable as we requested changes prior to our project actually beginning. When our project started, after more than a year of planning, Curt ensured everything needed to complete our project was onsite when needed. Bryan and Steve, the two guys on our siding team, performed like a group of 4 guys. Their attention to detail, from cleaning up our property at the end of each day….to the small cosmetic details, reaffirmed how happy we were that we chose TCSP. Bryan made sure to touch base with me each morning on the progress he expected to make during the day. As he worked, he consulted with me on many things that would ultimately impact our overall look and feel...and he followed up at the end of each day. I can’t say enough about this crew...TCSP is lucky to have them all on board. There wasn’t a single time throughout the planning or actual execution of our project that I felt unsure or uncertain about next steps, progress, or expectations. Work with these guys...you won’t regret it.

Project is done and the work exceeded our expectations. So blessed that we decided to have our house sided and windows replaced by TCSP. From start to finish the experience was wonderful. We hired Twin Cities Siding Professionals to do our siding. The crew of Angelo and Zach did a wonderful job. They showed up every day right at 7 am and worked hard all day until at least 4:30. They even worked on Saturdays and a holiday to make sure they finished in a timely matter. Everyday they left the job site clean (even our neighbors commented on it). They were very courteous and they took pride in their work and made sure we were satisfied with every step of the way. They left the job site cleaner than it was when they started. We would highly recommend this company.
