I admit that I have heard quite a bit of negative comments about this dealership and, even though we have a Suburban, we have avoided going in there. I am here to write about our extremely positive interaction with them when I was only asking for advice on a challenging situation. Meet Shawn Doyle! He could not have been more friendly, more positive and more helpful about our situation even though it was not going to result in our needing service. He got to the bottom of our dilemma and gave us an answer that made sense and assuaged our fears. We are now very satisfied future customers!

My brakes were totally fine until they told me that I needed brakes and I bought them and they put them on. And to my surprise, they were worse with an annoying noise and even so they say that there is nothing wrong with it. I returned my car. They had it for 5 hours, they drove it through town braking suddenly and hitting the brakes abruptly. They did all that just for them to tell me that everything is fine and there is nothing wrong with it.

We had a very odd problem where my wife’s phone was jammed between the lift gate and the locking mechanism. We drove in from Angel Fire and Sean (Shawn?) was very reassuring and confident in his mechanics. 30m later and phone was liberated and lift gate working perfectly. It was a great experience that saved a vacation. Thanks to all at the T&C dealership.

Where do I start, this dealership has very poor customer service. Parts are installed
Incorrectly
and when confronted you are told it’s your fault as the customer. I had some work done on my 2017 Chevy Colorado. They replace the transmission and when doing so, they did not tighten the front driveshaft bolts that connect to the transfer case and front differential. My alignments all messed up the tires I had on her that are no good anymore, because they over tighten the camber glide pin, which in turn messed up the entire alignment. When they pulled my transmission,, they did something cause a clicking in my steering wheel. I was told there was nothing they could do except try to fix their own mistakes at the cost of my paycheck. Perhaps it’s time to get a lawyer involved.

The service manager should be commended for his professional attitude and his commitment to great customer service. My experience dealing with a recall issue was resolved in the most professional and courteous manner kudos to him and Taos Motors.

I wish I could give zero stars. We bought a pre-owned Traverse here during the pandemic—this vehicle has turned out to be a complete and total lemon and even though we paid for a warranty, we were never able to get it in to be serviced because their maintenance department is so severely understaffed. We’ve had trouble with the transmission pretty much since we purchased the vehicle. What a waste of time and money—this vehicle has cost us both. We will never purchase another vehicle here again, and I hope this review will help others a to avoid this place.

My experience with the service department on Monday, June 10, 2024
Visiting Taos by no choice of mine. Carson Nation forest. I damaged my radiator in my 2019 Traverse. Ran over a cut off tree stump. I had to be towed from Tres Piedras
to Taos 33 miles. I called Town and Country Chevrolet service department in Taos, to see if I could drop my car off there for replacement of radiator.
Mr. Service Department Representative answered the phone. I told him my situation and he rudely told me, “DO NOT DROP YOUR CAR OFF HERE. IF YOU DO YOU WILL HAVE GET IT TOWED SOMEWHERE ELSE. Rude! WE ARE 3 weeks out before we can look at it!!
Ok, he hung up. Little did he know that I would have been interested in buying a new vehicle. Just RUDE. I finally got my car fixed by a local mechanic.
I would never buy anything from this dealership!! What a rude way to treat a women in distress and a visitor to Taos, NM

I bought a 2013 Ford Raptor from Paul and it served us very well over the last couple years. The transaction and experience could not have been better. They have continued to treat me like family as I’ve looked at a few other trucks and drop by once and awhile to consider trades. These guy provide top notch customer service and a solid selection of trucks.

These guys are great. MaryDee in the service department saved me a lot of money and hassle yesterday. Plus they have a really nice waiting room but they will drive you anyplace and pick you up if you don't want to wait there. I highly recommend them.

I would not recommend you take your car to Town and country unless your able to be without a vehicle for 3-6 months. They have had my car since July and already heading into September with no expected date of completion. When I ask why is my car not done after this amount of time I was told cars have been there longer than mine. I got a response to my review basically say they convince the tourists over the locals.

We were in town for a visit and on our way to Angel Fire, but our Jeep's Check Engine light went on. Reached out to the Service Dept as they were the nearest place to us to see if they could help. We stopped in and were told they were solidly booked but would run the diagnostic reader to get the code about the engine light issue. Turned out to be an easy fix and they were able to squeeze us in that morning. We were in and out under 3 hours. No complaints cause we were just happy to get it fixed so we could get home safely. Their sister dealership is in Alamosa in the San Luis Valley, CO. We live in the SLV and will be hitting them up for any future vehicle needs as we were so well taken care of in Taos. Big thanks to everyone in the service department who helped!

Went to get my oil changed and was turned away because they only do service by appointment. Since when do you have to book an oil change especially if your traveling. Asked for the GM and he just gave me the same song and dance so they ain't gonna touch my car. I'll just take it somewhere else. 10 out of 10 don't recommend if your traveling they won't help unless you have an appointment. So I guess to all of us Chevrolet owners from out of state that want Chevrolet certified service won't get it.

Town and Country was a hassle free experience for me. I traded in my truck and asked for a warranty on the used vehicle I was buying. Paul made it happen faster than I could sign. Had a minor issue with the vehicle 3 days after I got it and the dealership took care of me immediately. I don't think there is better customer service anywhere. I appreciate Town and Country taking care of me. I will buy again from them.

bad experience they left my truck full of oil on the seat steering wheel took it for front shocks hacked my air box and radiator container loose left my ball joints loose then wanted to charge me 2300.00 to fix it when the mechanic left it loose never go back my other mechanic fix it for 725.00 shame on you

When I bought my Vehicle, customer service was excellent!! No problems and was very happy
, however, my vehicles airbag system light went on as well as engine light. My vehicle was still under warranty, but only for a week longer. I called to schedule service but there were no openings until after. I let service know my situation, but was told to go out of town instead because they could not help me. I called manager and said I would get a call back. 2 weeks later, sadly no call back as of today and warranty that I paid extra for has now expired. Very very disappointed
I will no longer refer friends or family to this business, especially for service!!

online appointment booking doesn’t work. booked my appointment online only to be told it’s doesn’t work. how about take it off your website then ? my car that needed emergency repair wouldn’t have been able to go in till the 27th of april (went my online appointment was booked for april 4) absolutely disappointed and furious. do better. will never recommend this place to anyone! not to mention that we drove all the way from costilla !

We bought a new Colorado from them in 2020. Today our engine light came on and we wanted them to at least tell us what the code says. The lady told us that they could not service us or even look at our truck for another 27 days. Brutal. Today we are paying Metric Motors to check it out even though we're under warranty with Town and Country. EDIT: Moved it back up to 5 stars because they've been great with servicing our other chevys ever since that first incident. Also, their sales staff is great.

Great place. Very responsible and professional service team. They fixed my car during my visit to Taos 800 miles away from Texas right before the Christmas eve. I cannot say how much I value that people feel for you and help you when you most need it. Dealerships service quality is different and is shaped by it's people: master technician and team. This team I can trust.

Had my truck serviced with the intent that they would check my brakes to replace them out of factory warranty, an issue that I discovered while traveling but held off on till I got home to NM. Knowing there is a shortage on parts, the service rep recommended making 2 appointments, the first for maintenance services with the brake inspection. They were supposed to do the inspection so that in a few weeks they could perform the installation and allow the lead time for delivery. They performed regular maintenance without even visually inspecting the brakes, but being sure to add $100 in non requested DEF fluid. Now I will need to make an additional appointment, a total of 3, to get this matter fixed. I already made an effort to take the truck to Taos and might as well just make it in to Santa Fe. Perhaps there I will receive better overall service.

I can’t recommend your dealership enough. I was in and out in less than 3 hours. Michael was the kindest sales consultant I’ve ever worked with. Once all the paperwork was signed Michael spent a generous amount of time showing me how all the features worked and even helped me set up the OnStar trial. I had interactions with several people at this dealership to include the finance manager and the detailer. Everyone was so nice and friendly. It was a positive and stress-free experience! Thank you!

I went to Town and Country Chevrolet in Taos. They fixed the wrong part. I bought the new part because the mechanic said he would put it i free. When I got there Driving 84 miles they said the mechanic hurt his back and the only way I could get the job done was to pay another mechanic. What a rip off.

When I told them I was upset that a scheduled maintenance of transmission oil change at 45000 miles was not performed when I brought my car in for regular oil change, my Service rep said he would alert me of upcoming recommended service in the future.

I recently needed to have someone look at my old chevy truck as my engine light was flashing. I looked around, and could find appointments 2 weeks out, or I did not even get a return call. Town & Country took me in about 3 business days. As they said they would, they called when they found the problem, gave me a quote, and asked if I wanted to proceed. It was not a hard fix, and it was very affordable!! I was delighted, they could have said anything to me!!

Plus, they treated my truck like it was new, vacuumed it, put plastic on seat and steering wheel. Everyone associated with service department was extremely nice and helpful!! I will go directly to T& C for next issue!!

The guy whom made my key for GM vehicles he was great but the technician side they didn't want program the key and two key fobs because they said they didn't have time to do it because they are leaving already but I did call before got here and made a appointment with girl at desk it was made at 5pm and that's when techies said they don't have time do it I don't understand why they would have me come in at 5pm then if they wouldn't program my key and key fobs made make trip from Sanford Colorado just drive all this way for nothing I would never come here again because there technician suck big time

The buying experience at Town and Country overall was superb, low pressure, informative, and truly a pleasure. Town and Country took the time to answer all my questions over a two week period (I am a new Chevy truck owner and had many) and for the couple they couldn't immediately answer they would seek out the correct information. When an accessory I wanted from GM was no longer available they found an alternate source. Most importantly, they are honest and don't play games. They made me a great offer the first time and never once tried changing numbers or values or fees, etc., something I kept experiencing in negotiating with other dealers. Truly recommend giving these guys a shot.

I just bought a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer a few weeks ago. Firstly, Chevrolet has built a fantastic new Blazer. I will always try to support local and Town and Country Chevrolet is fantastic.
