Horrible, horrible experience. Would not recommend. Guy who runs it is a piece of work. Told my wife and I he would be coming in, cutting out a piece of the wall, cleaning the mold and then putting the wall back up and painting it. They left a hole in my wall, argued with me telling me that he never told me he was putting the wall back in. Just horrible guy. Horrible, horrible business. 400 dollars to cut out a square of wall? That makes sense.

They do a tremendous job. Quick to respond and get the job done extremely fast. I've have used them multiple times. Highly recommended!

A great family owned business, honest, reasonably priced, they know their stuff & educate their clients. My parents bough a home and it had mold in the attic. Mold is scary stuff, we called Mold buster and were super impressed. Not only did Mold Buster clean & treat the attic for mold, they were able to mitigate any future issues by installing a roof fan & fixing the venting issues with the bathroom fans (which where the root cause of the mold). If you find any mold in your home don't panic call Mold Busters.

Great group of people. They were at my house for some air samples and the tech was knowledgeable and entertaining. We had a good talk and they gave me results within the week.

I have had nothing but problems with this company for two years now… They “treated” the mold in my attic prior to me closing on my house in December of 2020. Was charged nearly $2,000 and that was paid between the seller and myself.

About a year later (December of 2021) water was dripping from my bathroom fan so I went up there and noticed the mold was back and worse than before. Called Mold Busters and their inspector said it was because the bathroom vent was going straight to the attic and not through the roof, but everything else was working properly. Paid them another $300 to vent the bathroom van through the roof and they “treated” the mold again.

Fast forward to November of 2022 and water began dripping from the fan AGAIN. They came out for an inspection while I was at work and told my girlfriend that the mold was back because the gable fan was turned to the highest setting. Said that it would be another $2,000 to fix. However during the December 2021 service the technician that came out said everything ventilation wise was now all set and the mold should be gone this time.

Today the owner of the business argued aggressively for 15 minutes over the phone about how the mold coming back was my fault for being negligent as the “man of the house”. Refused to take any accountability for them having to come out 3 times in less than 24 months due to poor service to fix the same issue.

He continued to be sexist and offend my girlfriend who had been handling the matter prior to me stepping in. He then stated that the phone call was recorded, and it is against the law in CT to record a phone call without notifying the other party. And when I asked him how long he kept the recordings saved so he could reference our phone call from 2021 regarding the ventilation and gable vent he got quiet and changed the subject and proceeded to tell me to “enjoy my day” in an attempt to end the conversation. Completely dismissing everything I had pointed out and said that I was trying to squeeze a service out of his company.

DO NOT use this company if you want something done for a fair price and done correctly.

EDITED TO ANSWER REPLY FROM BUSINESS:
The “specialist” that came out to do the most recent inspection was the business owner himself, the same one who argued with me on the phone. Then his wife who co-owns the business called back apologizing stating her husband “was out of line and unprofessional” and that if I was willing to take down the review they would offer a “significant discount”. Therefore admitting fault, please don’t try to save face now when earlier today you could not be bothered.

The technician who came out in 2021 assured me the that the venting issue he corrected by going through the roof was the cause of the mold returning and that it was all set without mentioning anything wrong with the gable vent, which was discussed in detail.

Scheduling & communication was extremely easy. The gentlemen arrived right on time on date of service. They were extremely polite, professional, & kept my home clean during/after service. All my questions and concerns were addressed regarding the service and I was provided with before/after documentation. I highly recommend Mold Busters!

We had a great experience with Mold Busters. They made it easy to get a quote and schedule the work. The gentleman who came was very polite, knowledgeable, and did a great job.

They did a very good job. We had black mold in the attic. They are very good with their appointment time. They were right on time. We shopped around for the lowest price they were the cheapest ones.

This company is great. I would highly recommend them. Super nice people, very helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to help me deal with the mold and fungus that resulted from a leaking hot water heater. Mike who did the work was the hardest working guy I've seen in a long time. Gene was a man of his words. There is no substitute for that. Very loyal to military personnel and I want to Also tell you "thank you for your service as a professional in this mold business". He was always early to every appointment, showing up at least 15 minutes early every time. I can't tell you how impressive this was. I had appointments at that property with contractors that I had to call at appointment time and they wanted to reschedule or not show up at all. Mold Busters crew was a great bunch of workers who did the job rapidly and cleaned up immediately. I have zero complaints. Any issues were addressed quickly and resolved. I would highly recommend Mold Busters. The company was very responsive and professional in addressing a mold problem discovered at my mother’s house. Because of her age and the health risks posed by the mold, particularly the air quality that was deteriorating, they adjusted their schedule to work on her house as soon as possible. This is a company that actually cares about its customers.

The gentleman came on time and was very very nice and professional. I would refer this company to anyone who needs such service. Office staff was also very kind. Thank you for the information as to what needs to be done. :-)

I had a black mold infestation and I knew I had to get rid of it. I made an appointment with Mold Busters to look at it for 4pm and let me say, 4pm on the dot they rolled in. Every thing about them came off as professional and put me at ease. I was provided with a written quote hours later from the site visit. They are so proud of the quality of their work that they take before and after photos. You can see some of mine attached and several more on their website gallery. Their prices were fair and service was great.

Working with the Mold Busters crew was a great experience! The owner, Gene was on time, personable, and took the time to describe and explain the problem areas to us! Just 4 days after our estimate he was able to send out his crew, who were just as great! And if you have any questions, he and his wife are very responsive via phone and email!
