We worked with Tony's roofing to replace our roof over the winter and it went smoothly. Erick was awesome in setting up our initial and follow up quotes and had the paperwork all set up with all our design decisions and in addition a new gutter system. He did a great job communicating and even when we had some set backs after the roof was being replaced such as rotten wood around the fascia boards, he provided a contact who did an incredible job at the last moment to keep our project on track and before the rain arrived again. The project finished in under a week total and we were super happy with the results and happy with the overall value and attention to details. Highly recommend!

I had Tony's replace my roof in the Fall of 2024.

The Good:
So far, there haven't been any leaks and the new roof looks good. The prices were also on the lower end of all the bids I received. Additionally, the gentlemen doing the work were respectful of the neighborhood. The project manager was friendly enough and always returned my emails quickly.

Not so Good:
-I have an external vent pipe that runs up the exterior of my house and through the roof. In the process of reroofing, this pipe was moved to one side side and not put back in its original location. So, when they were finished there was a blatantly angled pipe on the side of my house. It's right next to a downspout so it was extremely apparent. To their credit, they sent someone to fix the pipe quickly, but they did a poor job and it still isn't plumb. The laborer had a kid assisting him and they used a beat up cheapo plastic level, so when they were done the pipe is still crooked. When I reported this to Tony's, I was told they did the best they could. I chose not to press the issue, so maybe they would have fixed it properly if I had.

-The laborers were also a little careless during the tear off phase. I was home and I watched many pieces of metal bounce of the side of my freshly painted house. Easy enough fix with some touch up paint, but geez.

-I also found quite a few nails around my property when they were done. I realize its not possible to get everything, but there were multiple nails and staples clearly laying in my driveway, which should be a place where a person places some extra emphasis on picking up nails for obvious reasons.

- I also had them replace a section of gutter and they used a subcontractor. The gutter was installed with a significant drop at the far end, so water pooled up and couldn't drain. To their credit, Tony's sent out the subcontractor to fix the mistake and I have yet to closely examine the repair, but I think it might still not quite be correct.

-Lastly, they didn't take care to protect my downspouts when tearing off the old shingles. This resulted in at least one plugged gutter downspout that leads directly into underground drain pipes. This was full of trash and had to be removed and unclogged. Fortunately, I was able to fix this on my own without an expensive roto-rooter bill.

We got a few estimates to replace our roof. The gentleman from Tony's was a gentleman. He actually recommended that we NOT replace our roof, said we could get 5 more years out of it. One of their competitors was being VERY pushy about getting it replaced. The employee from Tony's was also talking options before he got up on the roof, unlike the competitor who was pushing a much more expensive shingle. My boss recommended Tony's to me and echoed a similar experience. He said they gave him options, were not pushy and their estimate was the lowest. He also said they did good work, was pleased with the finished product.

I worked with Erick Uzusa for the quote and coordination. I received three bids and Tony’s quote matched a competitor almost to the dollar. What they offered that tipped the scales in their favor was a 50 year warranty on the roof materials and a 12 year labor warranty which exceeded the other quote by 20 years and 7 years. They use Malarkey shingles which after exhaustive research I feel provides the best value to performance. I put down the down payment and they have me scheduled two weeks out. They arrived on a Monday and finished my 3000+ sq ft roof in two days. They kept everything extremely tidy and other than the beautiful new roof, you would never know that they were there. Only after completing the job did they ask for the remainder of the payment. It isn’t often that you can say that a company deserves a five star + rating but Tony’s does. They will be roofing my second house in 3 weeks and I have no doubt that they will over perform there as well.

Tony's Roofing were one of four companies we evaluated when considering a new roof for our North Portland century house. Erick Perez came out quickly, walked the roof (not just drone), talked through our options, and promptly sent us a highly detailed quote, which was the second lowest we received. He communicated with us frequently and answered our questions promptly. The crew arrived on-time and was respectful of our property; they did no damage to our home during the tear-down or at any time. They did a beautiful job with the plywood decking (it is seamless!) and the roof is perfectly flat, with special attention paid to small eave details on the vintage construction. We are thrilled with the results and would recommend Tony's Roofing to anyone.

Erik of Tony's roofing came out to the house several times to check on the job progress and communicate with me. He also texted photos of the progress and also a couple of issues his crew uncovered. He actually included an upgrade at no additional cost for the shingles at the same bid he gave me for the "Good" Malarkey shingles. His guy discovered some rot in a fascia board but repaired it at no extra charge. I feel so fortunate to have found this company. They did a beautiful job. My roof looks amazing and they included all the elements needed including the roof venting, slope ventilation, drip edges, and ice shield in the valleys, step flashing around chimneys, etc. His contract was clear and fully listed everything they would do and what extra costs might run me if certain unforeseen defects were uncovered after the old shingles were pulled. They left the yard quite clean and orderly removing all the nails and debris completely. I would recommend this company. But expect delays since in Portland rain can disrupt progress abut they never leave your rood unprotected.

I had a great experience with Tony's roofing. Erick took a lot of time assessing my older 1946 house and was very knowledgeable. I did not go with the lowest quote because other companies were not as thorough. The work crew did a great job. I love my new roof!

When we were researching roof replacement after a recent hail storm, MANY neighbors and our daughter recommended we check with Tonys Roofing. We worked with the same representative as our daughter, who was available within days and worked up the plan and cost estimate within a few hours. They also worked with our insurance estimator to correct the estimate for items not included originally. The work crew came exactly when scheduled and completed the work within a couple of hours of what was estimated, despite temperatures exceeding 104 the afternoon of the first day (when they sensibly rested). When they were finished, they cleaned up so well that the only way that you could tell they had been here was the excellent new roof. I hope we don't need a new roof anytime soon, but if we do, Tonys Roofing will be taking care of it.

One of the staff from Tonys Roofing was excellent. He walked me through my roof’s issues step by step and took pictures while up there so that I could see exactly what the issues were. He was prompt and courteous. I needed a few small roof repairs because of a roof leak and shingles that had blown off. He came out the same day I requested it. Did a thorough roof inspection, and the Roof Repair person was out the next day. Great service. I would highly recommend them.

I called them out to do a commercial roofing inspection for a small shop purchase that I am making based on the recommendation of a coworker. Tonys Roofing, came out the very next day and was on time and honest. So honest that they even told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with the roof! It's rare these days that a service company doesn't try to find the most minor issue and then use fear tactics to try and make a sale off of it. I do not write reviews but felt this company deserved to get my first one. Tonys Roofing did a great job in keeping in contact with me throughout the entire project; never did I have to call Tonys Roofing; they always called with updates on product availability or the scheduling around the weather. The commercial roofing crew that did my flat roof was the best; they showed up at 6:45 am and never stopped. The lead man on the roofing crew explained the installation to me as they went along. I could tell by watching this crew they took pride in their work and had plenty of experience with the installation of my commercial roof. They cleaned up after themselves, and you never knew they were there. The gutter installer was just as professional and well-experienced. I would use Tonys Roofing and their team again for sure if needed and recommend Tonys Roofing.

We had some storm damage to our roof shingles. To select a residential roofing company, I went off a few references from people in the office. Tonys Roofing was one of the roofers I called. They were out the next day, which was impressive considering how much storm damage the local area had. It took the other guys a little longer to visit, and they definitely did not seem as enthusiastic about getting my residential roofing handled. Tonys Roofing pretty much walked me through the whole ordeal with my insurance company. The work was completed professionally as well; the crew from Tonys Roofing was great, they cleaned up everything and even cleaned the gutters out. Tonys Roofing was very professional, offering help and suggestions throughout our residential roofing replacement. They took photos before, during, and after the project was completed, keeping us informed of the progress of the work. Their crew was experienced, and the workmanship was excellent. The clean-up was also top-notch. We had both a traditional roof replaced as well as a flat roof over our back porch. They also worked on our chimney, which had several bricks that had fallen and replaced the flashing. I would certainly use them again. They are five stars. Every step of my experience with Tonys Roofing was professionally done and moved along like clockwork. We just moved into our place and the first thing we wanted to do was add SKYLIGHTS! We knew it was also about time to put on a new roof, so we went through a few recommended roofing companies until one day my wife says, "hey this Tony's Roofing place has really great reviews." It turns out they were also the most affordable! Tony and Erick were awesome and totally up for our skylight challenge—we put in 6 total, and not all of them were easily installed (some needed special framing to fit exactly where we wanted). Tony was really great in working with me to get them exactly the way we wanted. He is a great person—I recommend them 1000% and would work with them again in a heartbeat.

By the way, the finished the entire job in TWO DAYS. It was crazy! They called to start the day before we expected them because they were finishing up another job, so they started one afternoon, worked the next day, and then finished the following morning. They were all really hard workers but also very efficient.

Finally, I'd just like to mention how courteous they were. They took extra special care to roll debris up toward the roof so as to drop as little as possible around the yard.

Quote: Quick with the estimate. Really appreciate that fact that Eric/Tony cut out all the sales pitch and just gives honest answer when I do have questions regarding different products. Anyone spending over $10k on house improvement probably already did their due diligence (you deserver to be ripped off if you didn't), so not standing there having the sales trying to pitch you why their product is better is a huge plus -- especially when everyone is busy with work.
Scheduling: Easy. Eric/Tony provided a time slot that they are available to work on my roof. To be honest, their work is really gated by the weather, so don't be hard to work with, not their fault if you can't get 3 days of sunshine in Oregon on demand.
Work: Clear communication, work fast, and pays attention to details. I have some ply woods that needs to be replaced and Tony gives very clear communication on his suggestion and double/triple checked when I went against his recommendation (because it'll add cost to my final bill). They found a dry rot location, and replaced the whole section as well. They also did a very good job cleaning any of the left over trash/shingles.
People: Good, good, and good. Very polite and friendly people. Even apologized for the loud noises when it's not really their problem.

TLDR: Great experience with Tony's roofing from beginning to the end. While it has only been 2 weeks since the roof was replaced. I'm sure it'll hold. They provide 12yr workmanship warranty. Long enough for me!

Tony and team did an excellent job on my roof. It's beautiful and was very affordable. I am very pleased with the whole experience, from the first meeting in which I received the quote to the final walk around I did with Tony when he showed his team's work. Tony uses his own crew which gave me confidence that I'd receive high quality work, which I did. They left the yard more clean than they found it, and we have a great looking roof!

My roof was nearing the end of it's life and I received several quotes. I met with Erick and his quote was basically tied for the lowest. I went with Tony's because of Erick's straight forward approach. He gave me the options, didn't try to upsell me on things I didn't need, and there was no high pressure "special" discount to make a deposit on the first meeting, which was a practice from several other companies. If you're getting a roof quote beware of companies with professional sales staffs, because you're not only paying for the roof and roofers, you're paying those sales costs as well, and their high quotes reflect that.

Tony's roofing came in highly recommended by a friend. I had major roof leaks and I requested a quote from a few roofers but Tony's was the only one to actually get on the roof to inspect the problem and propose the best plan of action. There was excellent communication throughout the whole process and and they delivered an excellent job on schedule. Best of all, they were within my budget. I highly recommend them.

These guys not only offered the lowest price quote of the five, but they spent the most time explaining what they were going to do and why it needed to happen. They got a complicated roof with plywood install done in three days and cleaned up well, leaving my gutters and yard in good condition.

They knocked it out in 3 days - worked 9 hours a day during the fires with the poor air quality (before it was restricted). Each night everything was clean and put away. Very respectful and nice. I hired Tony's to do a full roof replacement on my home. All phases of the project were easy and relatively painless (as much as having a new roof installed and paying for it can be). Discovered a possible roof leak about six weeks ago. In the midst of being laid off from work due to Covid 19 this was very poor timing.

I considered replacement of the whole roof but in the end decided to simply repair the area.

After getting a couple of bids on a new roof I decided to find one more company to give an estimate, and called Tony's Roofing. I spoke with Erick and he came out the next day to walk the roof, give me an estimate and tell me what he's looking at. His estimate was pretty in line with the others but his demeanor and communication were much more professional and interested in what I was thinking. When I told him the other bids were about the same he let me pull them out and showed me line by line what his company would be doing differently and where the differences in product and quality were; He was offering a lot more at the same price as the other guys.

I've worked construction before and Erick reminds me of guys I've worked with who are proud of their work and don't cut corners, so I signed the contract same day. He gave me an estimated date to start the project, was communicative up till then with text and phone calls, and was right on time. The job was done in three days, even though there were two old roofs to tear off, and it looks beautiful. The crew seems to have covered every little detail and I'd recommend this business to anybody who's looking for roofing work.

Had a great experience using Tony's Roofing. Called to get a bid. Eric was punctual and his quote was thorough, VERY competitive and accurate with the final invoice. We have an older home and once the work began they found ship lap instead of modern sheeting. Erik gave us our options, which included using the existing material. We made an informed decision, he ordered and picked up the new material. They worked their behinds off and still finished the entire project on time. Our place was spotless when the roofers left. They even swept my driveway, patio and carport, which was not clean before they arrived :) . We did have a couple of small issues I notice when I got home from work and after the roofers had left. I called one of the owners, Eric, to let him know. He and the other owner, Tony, came out that same evening and fixed everything. Fantastic service.

Erick was amazing to work with! I live out of the area and needed a new roof for a rental house. Erick kept me informed every step of the way and even sent pictures. They did a great job and I feel like I have a quality roof for an amazing price.

Tony responded quickly to request for free estimate. Estimate very competitive with two other bids received. Tony had actual samples of shingles to look at for color selection. Tony worked with me on scheduling around my surgery and weather. Crew worked two long days to re-roof my 1600 SF ranch home. Complete tear off. Replaced skylight and damaged plywood and trim. Installed ridge vent to replace individual vents that weren’t up to code. Crew cleaned up yard and property meticulously each night. No damage to shrubs or yard. Very satisfied with job. I try to support family owned businesses whenever possible and highly recommend Tony’s Roofing.

In short -
We cannot recommend Tony's enough. Working with them was a bright spot in an otherwise rocky house project. They were responsive, consistent, well priced, knowledgeable, accommodating, and most importantly provided a quality install and product.

In long -
It is unfortunate that finding a service provider like Tony's is rare. But extremely refreshing when you do find them. The previous roof on our home was asphalt shingles over asphalt shingles over a wood shake roof. Tony's was the only bid we received who took the time to explain to us that what the previous owner had done was not only against standard practice but that it was against building code, and providing us all our options for repair of the roof shingles and other further repairs the roof needed.
They were consistent to their word providing exactly what they had promised. A well installed and sturdy roof at a fair price and in a timely manner (just under 3 full days for a 3-layer roof tear, new sub roof and new roof install). They were accommodating, scheduling us within a month’s time to meet our tight timeline. Finally, they did a quality install, impressing our very picky building inspector.

After (attempting) to get multiple bids for a new roof, Tony's was the most responsive we ran into and had competitive pricing. From day one, there was prompt communication back and forth, check-ins, etc. All questions I threw at them were answered quickly and in detail.

Come the day of the project, they arrived on time (even a bit early) and got right to work. They put in some crazy hours and got the entire roof replaced PLUS redid my skylights in two days! The entire time, they kept me updated on the project's progress and any snags that may have come up.

To finalize, there was a final checkin and payment. Very friendly, professional, and easy to work with. If I HAD to give a negative point, it would be how far out they're scheduled, but its a stretch to ding a company for being successful. :)

I am so glad I went with Tonys Roofing LLC. He and his crew did our roof for a great price but not only that they really know what there doing. Very polite, respectful, on time, responsible and kept us informed. Said it would take 2 days and it only took a day an a half. Now the roof is super good and looks great. They did such a great job I hired them to do our second house. That tells you how good he is. So pleased with that roof too! Eric was really great. He diagnosed our roof leak and gave us a fair quote. The crew came out to fix the roof as soon as weather permitted. They did a great job and were very professional. We had our entire roof replaced and I can’t recommend them enough. When you’re spending a decent amount of money on anything, you’d like to feel like it was worth it, I feel totally at peace knowing this was the company I gave my money to. They were timely, communicative, very fairly priced and just all around fantastic to work with. They’ve really got their operation down to a science, making them extremely efficient. From the beginning of the process they were great. Wonderful communication, answered all my questions (which were plenty as I am not familiar with roofing terminology), prompt and has a hard working crew. I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but Tony's Roofing was INCREDIBLE! They were prompt and professional. They started the job on time, worked from dawn to dusk each day until the job was complete, and did quality work. They cleaned the entire job site completely before leaving and made sure that we were happy with the work. And, they were several thousand dollars less than two other companies we contacted. I have spent the better part of a year trying to find the right roofing contractor to replace my old roof. After 4 or 5 people coming to my home, or knocking on the door with outrageous estimates, I had to pause a minute and put it off.
Last month I called Tony after seeing an Ad pop up on my FB. Clicked the button to request an estimate, and within a few hours I received a phone call. We set an appointment and Tony and his brother Erick came out and assessed the project. Not only were they on time, it was a windy rainy day out and they still pulled out the ladder and walked my very pitchy roof.
Soon after we sat down and discussed the product,, product warranty, price and guarantee. With the other estimates I had already received, I was quite honestly expecting the same spiel.
Tony and Erick were extremely courteous and professional. They presented the different products available and explained all that they would do.
The estimate was much lower than I expected and the opportunity to now was right.
THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING!! They knocked this roof out in 4 days with not so good weather! They're process to tear off the old and prep this roof was so efficient and EXTREMELY CLEAN.
