Alex did an amazing job. The downspout he expertly replaced looks terrific. He was quick at getting it done and quiet I could hardly hear anything from inside while he was working!

I was in a jam because my roof was leaking and I needed it repaired in order to close on the sale of my home. It was a challenging job because I have solar panels and it seemed the leak was near the edge of a panel.

Another contractor that I worked with in the past was completely unresponsive, even after a number of calls and emails. Tonka Roofing responded to my call immediately and had a service technician at my house in two days. Alex was able to locate the source of the leak using the garden hose to simulate rain. The root cause of the leak was an improperly placed nail. Alex was then able to repair the leak in short order.

Tonka Roofing showed up for me big time at a very stressful point in the home sale process. I am looking forward to working with Tonka the next time I have a home improvement project.

Tonka Roofing stands behind their work. We had water leaking into our garage during the last rainstorm and we called Tonka Roofing as they had replaced our shingles two years ago. Alex came out that same day, in the rain, diagnosed the problem, which actually was a window cladding problem, and came up with a solution. A week later the problem is fixed. Their window/siding crew did a great job.. Even though it didn’t turn out to be a shingle problem, Tonka Roofing’s fast reaction to the problem of a previous client was impressive!

A storm brought a tree down on my roof. Dreading the inevitable process, I was recommended Tonka Roofing and spoke to Jesse N. I felt like I had called “The Wolf” from “Pulp Fiction”. He was at my house an hour after we spoke, and had already begun arranging the tree removal; which was done and had the roof tarped THE SAME DAY. Jesse had then instructed me on filing a claim and arranging to meet with the adjuster just a few days later. Just knowing that everything is taken into account and looked after has been an amazing stress relief. If you need any work done, these guys are super reliable and on point. Thank you Jesse!

Our insurance required a roof inspection recently and Tonka Roofing was recommended to us. In the past, we have had roofing companies give us the hard sell and try to sell us all sorts of things. Not the case with Tonka Roofing! They inspected our roof and let us know that it was in great shape and nothing further was needed. We really appreciate their honesty and will definitely work with them in the future when our roof does need work.

Casey did such a great job on my ex wife’s gutters, so I decided to have him do my roofing too. Casey helped with the color selection and was able to get the shed done too. The whole job went fast and smooth, and the cleanup was impeccable. I’ll be calling Casey on my next project!

Fantastic customer service! I've actually known Phil Paradise for many years, but not in his current capacity at Tonka Roofing. I know Phil through his dad, who has been our general contractor for, literally, decades. And who Phil tagged along with to help on many of his dad's jobs, including several of ours. So Phil has impeccable pedigree.

And that showed very nicely this week as we had an issue (leak) with our roof and needed advice and service. Without hesitation Phil wedged me into his schedule. And promptly showed up and thoroughly looked into our issue. You are immediately at ease with these guys and their expertise. No nonsense straight shooters.

Mike, Casey, Alex & the rest of their team has replaced many roofs for myself & our mutual clients over the years. They always go the extra mile. Today for example - on this house near Cedar Lake in Minneapolis, (a roof Mike's crew replaced the roof 2 years ago). They came back to help clear the snow from the flat roof for to help with an explanation for Buyer. A tree was down & without me asking, they offered to help me clean it up and haul it away. These guys do great restoration work and are great people.

Rich and now Mike have been super responsive, and did their homework on their original project with me to ensure they knew what to look for when we experienced some moisture getting into the house this winter. Ultimately it looked to be a condensation issue, and I appreciated the fact that they didn't try and turn that into a massive new project. Not salesy or pushy at all, and super knowledgeable. I'll be ringing them up again when the time comes for more roof work. :)

Did a fantastic job. They removed the old roof and replaced it in one day. When they were done, they cleaned up so well, you would be hard pressed to find any evidence they were here. Highly recommend!

When we had hail damage we were looking for a company that could repair/replace our roof, siding and gutters and wanted a hands-on person instead of a large impersonal company. Rich and his crew are top notch. I cannot say enough praise for their work. I am the-pickiest-person, and Rich patiently answered all of my questions and went over every detail to my satisfaction. When we had a question about the gutter installs, he even sent the crew back and they redid them perfectly. Our roof was installed last Fall, and Rich also came back to inspect our roof this Spring, double-checking to make sure everything looked ok after this horrible winter. I like that Rich is hands-on; he doesn't give a quote and walk away. He will be on your job and make sure it is done right. And he uses the same crew, so he knows his workers well. This is a huge plus because many contractors cycle thru many crews. Another plus was that he brings his own dumpster trailer that is on wheels, so there was no need for a typical big heavy dumpster sitting on our lawn for days and killing our lawn.
Our roof looks so much better and his crew found and fixed many mistakes the workers on our prior roofing job had made (correcting missing roof hole covers, fixing the inaccurately installed chimney flashing, & correcting how the ridge vent looked). The result is we are much happier with the look of our roof. The siding crew was excellent - absolutely perfect in the installation and they even had some challenges in a section over our front door; the result is it couldn't look better - it is like having a new house! In obtaining bids, Rich also was the only person who was willing to be on the job site to personally help open up our roof in an area where we added extra insulation. He did the work himself! Rich is very kind and professional and goes above and beyond for his customers. We are so glad that we found Tonka Roofing and will use Rich for all our future roofing/siding needs! Thank you Rich!

Richard gets a special credit for working with the insurance company and being persistent. The work on the roof was well-organized and was completed in one day. The roof looks good. When the work was finished, the team went around the house with a magnet to pick up staples and nails. However, the magnet left many staples and nails scattered in the grass around the house.

Tonka Roofing did a full tear off and re-roof in June 2021 and I was very pleased with the full project, from communication, scheduling, installation, and cleanup. I would definitely use them again. I used them again in June 2025 on a different home and they again did a wonderful job. Great communication, prompt and a full tear off and install in one day. Amazing Job!!

Tonka Roofing did a great reroof job for us on our 2700 sf Rambler.
Basically he did what he said he was going to do. He used first class materials and labor. He called our insurance company on our behalf and got his work properly inspected by the city. Everything was properly fastened, flashed, caulked and cleaned up. Roofing isn't a sideline to Rich. This is what he does and he is good at it.

We are so glad we decided on Tonka Roofing to tear off and re-roof our home this spring. They also removed the old rotten wood soffits and replaced with good looking aluminum ones. We scheduled the work for when we were out of town and they kept in contact with us via photos and texts while the work was being done. No one could have done a better job. It looks perfect (and the new soffits are so much better than the old ones) and the shingles come with a 50 year warranty. Clean up was perfect. Their pricing was fair and we are extremely satisfied with the workmanship. We recommend them completely.
