TNT Carports & Metal Building

Do NOT do business with these people. They're liars and frauds. It's been a year and a half since I placed the order and sent a deposit. Today I call to get the deposit back and they straight up lied to me and said that the contract states that if I cancel, I lose the money. It most certainly does NOT say that.

They may have added that language to their contract after I ordered, but that does not affect my order.

The language states the following...
Rejection of Order and Cancellation of Contract
"Seller reserves the right, at any time before installation of the Unit, to reject this Order or cancel this contract by notice in writing to the Buyer. Upon giving such notice, Seller will refund any deposit received from Buyer. Buyer agrees that such refund shall be Buyer's only exclusive remedy for such cancellation."

Where in there does it say that I lose my deposit? Yeah, it doesn't.

Don't give them any of your money. You've been duly warned.

This company is the worst! They have ZERO customer service! I left about 12 voicemail messages over a years time after giving them a deposit and not one call back! They finally call me back a little over a year later and tell me someone will call to schedule the install. They call one week before their arrival and i take the day off of work to be there. At 2pm I call and leave a voicemail asking if they are still coming, at 4pm Icall again no call back, at 6pm I had a dinner engagement so I left the house, at 7pm the installer called very aggregate d that no one was home. My husband had to leave me at the restaurant to go back and meet them. Installer can't take credit card payment..can't get anyone to call me about payment, until today!! They are BLOWING my phone up looking for the balance..lol my turn now, I told them send me a bill, i'll send a check. The rudest people I have ever dealt with!

I hired Manning Buildings out of Mount Airey, NC to build a 24x52 garage on my property. Derek, the owner was always easy to deal with and replied promptly to my emails, calls and texts. However, when things got turned over to TNT for the installation, is when things went south, pardon the pun.
I first dealt with Stephanie, who was sweet as pie initially. I was told that if I had my deposit in by the end of Sept. 2021, I'd very probably have my garage erected before winter. I sent off my deposit immediately. Lack of returned phone calls and emails dragged things out through November. I was then told that the contractor for here in New England had closed for the winter and we now wouldn't get the building until Spring, 2022, but I would be first on the list. March 15th came and went and when I called I was treated rudely by the once sweet southern ladies. I was told the contractor hadn't opened yet and would be until April. Into the first week of April I called again to get my building install scheduled. I was told that they were still not open. When I asked when in April they'd be opening, I was again given a rude attitude and told they simply don't know. I find it hard to believe that a business can say it's opening in April but not have a clue as to what date in April that might be. Finally, in early May, I get a call telling me that sometime in May I should expect a call to set a schedule for the install, which will probably be in June. A week later, after calling Derek Manning the owner of Manning buildings to complain, I get a call from the southern girls at TNT, stating the building will be coming that Thursday, two days away. I take the day off from work, expecting a crew to show up. When by noon there was a no show, no call, I again called TNT to find out where the crew was. By 3 that afternoon I finally heard back that the was tied up on another install but would be there the next day by noon. Again, another no show. We were told they'd be there Saturday by noon. Again, another no show.. just when I was ready to call and leave a msg for TNT on Saturday, a knock comes on my door.. Its the crew. It's almost 4PM.. they're going to start the install.
The crew was very courteous and they told us how they've been working and traveling and we noted that what they were saying did not jive with what we were told by TNT. They also told us about how they worked through until the first snow in Dec. and did not close up shop until then, again not closed at the beginning of November as we were told. The crew took less than two days to get the building installed. It looks good, feels and looks very solid and the crew was very nice and worked hard and very well together.. choreographed one might even say. They knew what they were doing. If this was a review solely for the crew and the building it be much higher, probably a 4. But with all the lying, rudeness and no shows and delays (deposit in Sept 2021, building finally installed in May 2022) I can't give them anything higher than a 2.
Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of companies that do metal buildings like this so choices are limited.

I have been waiting for over a year for my shop door. it's to the point the door literally fell off. every time I call they say they will call me 3 days in advance but never get a call. they are extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked for a refund because it's been over a year and I need to hire someone else and was told they didn't give refunds even though nothing was done. this is actually sad. SHAME ON YOU GUYS.

Took a little while to get it but they put it up in about an hr( I would not recommend doing it yourself) It looks great I am very happy

Horrible customer service is being kind! This company is a nightmare to deal with when it comes to getting your structure installed. The salesman was very pleasant and knowledgeable, but you are abandoned by them after the sale. If there is an issue with your structure, the company will ignore you. I strongly recommend you DO NOT PURCHASE a carport FROM TNT Carports!

I've been trying patiently to resolve an issue with my TNT Carports structure for more than 13 months. Some folks at company tried to help, but Estephanie has ignored correspondence for over a month. I gave tis company every chance to resolve my issue and was extremely patient due to COVID. It is really too bad that this company's customer service is so poor, because they do build quality structures. I would give them 4 or 5 stars for the quality of the structure, but their customer service is a zero. From trying to get the initial structure installed (rescheduled multiple times before COVID) to trying to resolve an engineering issue; you'll be hard pressed to find worst customer service. Pay a little extra to a better managed carport company and you will thank me and the others here who had to deal with TNT Carports. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in North Carolina which they have not responded to. Shop elsewhere for your metal structure needs!!!

Could never get ahold of anyone, and always had excuses on why they didn't make it. Then when they finally came a month later. They built the shed using the wrong color tin. And didn't have enough matching colors to finish the roof so we have one grey roof peace.

We had our carport installed yesterday. Looks pretty good but time will tell. Went through Weatherguard in Northwood NH and they were great to work with. TNT was not though. They couldn't give me an estimated installation date and even told me it might not be installed until spring. They called the week before so I took whatever opening they had and asked them to call an hour before arriving so I could get home from work in time (pick up my son from school and bring in my dogs). They called as they were arriving and they said they didn't know they needed to call early. I checked their paperwork and in the notes it said to call 45 minutes before arriving. 45 minutes would have been better than nothing. The guys who did the installation were quick. I haven't had a chance to inspect it thoroughly, but I'll get there. They are reasonably priced, but I understand why they have poor reviews.
