I hired Dereck Maynard for several home remodeling jobs. He received 50% of the quoted cost up front. He then tore out my bathroom, after which he abandoned the project, having completed only a small portion of it. He did not even begin the other two projects agreed upon. He spent several months lying to me about having ordered materials which he had not and made many promises which he did not keep. When I would not give him additional money after he claimed we had agreed that I would give him more as the job progressed (A. It wasn't progressing, and B. He had clearly stated that the second payment would be due when work was completed), he ghosted me. I lost 10 - 13K to this man who is a gifted scam artist.

I paid them and it took them 3 months to even start the job - it was never completed. They finally came with no heads up and parked 5 trucks in my yard. Rutted it up. I asked them to park in the street parking and they refused. Then when they did my roof they left MORE HOLES than when we started. They trashed my attic and garage. Refused to clean up their mess. Dereck Maynard was very unprofessional. Verbally threatened me multiple times. Threatened to come to my house. Harassed me via text for weeks because he wanted final payment for the project that he didn’t even complete. He never did a walk through of his guys work and now I have to have a second company come back and repair all of the damage they did to my home. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HIM.

If you are ever offered the opportunity to have work done by this company, run the other way. Do not do business with them they are thieves they gutted my house took my money and never did the work can’t get them to return phone call or txt messages. Do not ever use them

I have rented dumpsters to Dereck Maynard many times over the past 7 years. Even though slow I have always gotten paid. However the last dumpster that was picked up Feb. 10, 2020 has not been paid for. We took him to court and he ask my attorney for 5 weeks to pay, so we agreed. He never made the first payment. Went to court today 12-16-20. And he never showed up. BEWARE

My mother signed a contract for Dereck Maynard and his crew to do a back patio cover. She prepaid half the project. Due to an easement issue, they couldn't get it permitted. She has requested a refund for months, to no avail. DO NOT do business with this company unless you want your hard earned dollars to vanish. They're selling snake oil!

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!! Was referred to them by a close friend and colleague that had a great experience with them. They literally showed up 3 times to walk thru the project and questions, took our money and WE HAVE NOT SEEN THEM since then. Attorneys are filing suit today to get judgement and garnish whatever is possible at this point. STRAIGHT con artists.

They are not paying there subcontractors at this time which means they are out of money. If you do decide to use do not give them a deposit. Looks like they are taking deposits and not following through. I am a sub Contracter and have not gotten paid and know other subs also not getting paid. Have tried to contact and will answer phone and will not call back. Looking into hiring a lawyer to sue.

This was a small project to combine 2 small bathrooms to make one large one, convert a garage to a sunroom and laundry room, and install all new windows. We are of the opinion, the required work for this project was beyond the experience and expertise of this company. We have had to fix most of what they did.
