I attended a wedding here, and this is a lovely and well thought out venue. The barn dining hall has wonderful rustic tables and antique looking mismatched dining chairs. Chandeliers and string lights offer a warm, romantic glow. Restrooms are in their own building nearby to activity areas and spacious.
Buildings are connected by smooth, gentle sloping and ADA friendly sidewalks. Nice open patios, conversation areas with seating and space for mingling. We'll groomed natural landscaping and a space for lawn games. There is a converted house turned into the bride and groom dressing/hang out spaces. Parking is well thought out.

Knocked a star off for no sidewalk leading to/from the gravel parking area. There is a circular driveway to load/unload near the sidewalk, though. The ceremony area has no cover and only a few seats in the shade. The venue states it is in White Salmon, WA, but the actual venue and signage to get you there seem like White salmon is in a different area. Was a little confusing/concerning to know if Google was glitching when it's telling you to turn left while the road sign says White Salmon 》. And later you pass through other small towns.

Things to know: The venue is WAY out. Look at the route beforehand. If coming from Oregon via Hood River the toll bridge is online pay or prepay but you may still have to stop and talk to an attendant. Also, it's in a crappy location that backs up traffic from the Hood River interstate intersection. No payment required after a certain time. Prepaid has its own lane on far right. The road on the way to the venue is very curvy and sometimes narrow in places. There are definitely deer and critters, so plan to take your time and be watchful. It's a gorgeous drive.

We were considering this venue for our wedding. We worked hard to schedule a time that worked for Kelly for a site visit and drove several hours to be there. Kelly double booked our time and took another couple on a tour during our scheduled time leaving us sitting for almost 30 minutes before we decided to leave. Rather than apologize or offer for us to join or even speak with us she decided to let us sit and wonder then continued to chat as we walked out. It was sincerely one of the most disrespectful displays I have ever experienced. Be careful working with Kelly and Tin Roof Barn.

Absolutely beautiful venue. Views are amazing. Flowers everywhere. Reception hall has plenty of seating, fireplace if you need one.
The barn itself is super cute. I wish they had fans or something to keep people comfortable. If it's a hot day, it is pretty uncomfortable inside. No moving of air whatsoever. This is my only peeve.
We still had a great time, and I loved the place.

My husband and I were married at TRB 2 years ago. We still have family and friends talking about how beautiful the whole experience was. Between the amazing handpicked vendor list that Kelly provides and the beautiful space, our day was absolutely perfect. If you’re thinking of booking this venue for your special day, you definitely won’t be disappointed.

Kelly and Tin Roof Barn saved our wedding! We were originally scheduled for another venue in the Gorge, when a wildfire broke out the week of our wedding, causing an evacuation of our original venue and a scramble to find a new site. Our wedding planner connected us to Kelly and TRB, and we couldn't have had a better experience! Kelly was incredibly empathetic, flexible, and willing to go above and beyond to host our wedding on 24-48 hours notice. We were able to use all of our existing vendors, and 'plug and play' our plans seamlessly. While we would've been grateful to host our wedding anywhere at that point, Tin Roof Barn was a gorgeous venue that made our wedding feel so special, despite the circumstances. Guests were blown away by the space, and are still talking about the natural beauty! We can't speak highly enough of Kelly and TRB, and feel so lucky to have them as a part of our story.

We would like to start by saying our wedding was a picture-perfect event. It was truly magical! The Tin Roof Barn is a perfect place to wow your guests. We thought it was magical when we were looking for a venue. When the day came, it was like a scene out of a storybook! The venue was perfect for all ages. It had hardscape walkways, which made it easy for some of the older guests to get around. This was a must for us! The covered cocktail area was very popular with the guests, and the barn was timeless and unbelievably beautiful. From the antique tables and chairs to the mismatched glassware, it was the perfect mix of classy and vintage charm. It wasn’t too ritzy, but it wasn’t just a barn. It was perfect. If you are looking for that fairy-tale wedding, this place is as close as you can get! Thanks again to the venue owner, Kelly, for helping out when our wedding coordinator was unable to be there on the wedding day.

As a wedding vendor who works throughout Oregon, Washington & California, Tin Roof Barn took my breath away; the venue offers the serenity of the coast, and the warm nostalgia of being in your grandmother’s garden- but in the scenic PNW Gorge! At every turn there was something new to marvel at and I especially loved all the intentionally incorporated wisteria vines throughout the property. This is a place you ABSOLUTELY want to tour and see/fall in love with for yourself. Don’t forget to see the interior of the house because it is incredibly charming!

We had our wedding at the Tin Roof Barn in September 2022 and it was perfect! The venue just transforms in the summer and our guests kept saying how beautiful everything was. The wild grasses, the rolling hills, and the convenience of the multiple spots for wedding activities. On top of a great venue, we had fantastic interactions with Kelly. We thought she was helpful, kind, ready to problem-solve, and fair with her decisions and rules. We had 0 issues and would highly recommend the Tin Roof Barn to anyone! Thank you so much Kelly and the TRB for making our day so memorial and perfect!

We had our wedding at Tin Roof Barn on 8.2.21 after two reschedules (pandemic stuff) and Kelly was amazing every step of the way. We originally toured the barn and grounds in the fall of 2018 and instantly fell in love. Since then, you can see the amount of love that Kelly has poured into the place! Great venue, great people. I've seen some reviews where people are annoyed about little oddities in the contract, like no tossing of rice or flowers petals, but really you don't need that stuff. Kelly and her team know what they are doing. Highly recommend!!

Tin Roof Barn is an absolutely magical place to hold a wedding. The venue is absolutely gorgeous all throughout. It is meticulously landscaped and the love and attention that the owner and team puts into the venue is apparent and comes together for breathless beauty that makes a special day for everyone to remember for a lifetime. The teams we worked with were absolutely amazing and the owner of Tin Roof Barn is wonderful, all contributing to an amazing experience. The natural beauty will not be forgotten.

Gorgeous wedding venue with everything a bride and groom and their guests would need for a wonderful celebration. There is indoor space, covered outdoor space with bar, fire pit, clean and nice bathrooms, and a little house for the wedding party to get ready and pre-celebrate in. A+.

Tin Roof Barn is a beautiful venue and works with an amazing wedding planning company. My fiancé and I however had a terrible experience with the venue manger Kelly. She is the least compassionate, understanding person to work in the wedding industry. COVID-19 hit us all when we least expected it. Our wedding was planned for June 27th, 2020 and it’s about a 3-4 hour drive for us and our loved ones. Not only did Kelly not offer us any sort of refund (giving the governments restrictions), she would not even allow us to reschedule to 2021 or any Saturday for the rest of 2020. The only option she gave us was a Friday or Sunday of 2020. This did not work for us because of the distance and not wanting our loved ones to take work off just to attend our wedding. Kelly was extremely rude and non negotiable. In the wedding industry, you want to surround yourself with understanding, caring, supportive people but, this was not the case. We completely understand the business side of this but we were extremely disappointed with the service we received. We did not want to even be associated with her or the venue for our big day after this. We have worked with many other businesses in the wedding industry who put their costumers first and really work with them. Given our experience with Kelly and the barn, we feel as though we dodged a bullet.

The Tin Roof barn is such a stunning location for your special day. The views are absolutely majestic and every detail has been thought through for an absolutely relaxing and enjoyable day. Their barn tells a story of a lovely legacy of farming and love and every photo is stunning. This place is absolutely magical so you can feel confident in their ability to host your beautiful wedding with ease.

My son was married to his beautiful bride at this venue. Beautiful site, a lot of do's and don'ts came out the week leading up to the event. Everything should be out in the open, and in the contract before committing monies, as this is a stresser to the bride and family.

We loved working at TRB for one of our weddings this summer. It's an incredible space and has a lot to offer as far as landscape, ceremony, getting ready and reception. Everything is all in one area which makes photos so easy for us and being able to sneak out our couples for sunset photos or have some privacy when taking family portraits under a tree. We hope we get to photograph another lovely couple here again!

We didn’t have much of a vision for our wedding but we had three requirements:
1. It had to be located in the gorge
2. I wanted to serve birria [traditional Mexican dish] for dinner
3. My husband wanted a mariachi band.

Tin Roof Barn was the only venue in the gorge that would accommodate all three of these requirements.

Tin Roof is a place of rules and regulations, but with a gorgeous property like theirs they unfortunately have to defend it from those unwilling to respect their property.

My father-in-law graciously made all of birria for our day. He has a restaurant in Walla Walla, so TRB allowed this exception for a family member to deliver the food to the caterers (My Bartender).

I have to say I had months of anxiety and apprehension about our wedding day at TRB, as we had a lot of back and forth with TRB and multiple amendments made to our contract, but at the end of the day our wedding was effortless and we had zero issues with the venue day of.

Do know that if you are considering TRB you will be required to use Union Event Co. for coordination. This is a bit rigid and bordering on monopoly of service, but I will say that Stephanie at Union Event Co. is 100% so you will not be disappointed with her services.

Married here in September 2018. Venue was perfect! Everything we were looking for in a venue: outdoor spaces, natural park like setting, covered area for cocktail hour, amazing get ready house with all he amenities needed, reception area with antique place settings and tables! Our friends and family had an enchanted evening as did we!

A truly unique and gorgeous venue! Includes everything you need: lovely wooden tables and chairs, leather seating area, outdoor seating areas, mismatched vintage china...so much charm! And the newly built permanent restrooms mean you can avoid portable outhouses like other barn venues.

I got married at the Tin Roof Barn 4 months ago in September and will forever be daydreaming about our day. Choosing this venue was the best decision. If you're looking for a venue that truly showcases the PNW, a venue that doesn't require any work to make gorgeous but has the option to make it very much your own, and a venue team that will put you best interest in mind, this is the place for you!

Our wedding was an absolute dream come true, largely thanks to the beautiful Tin Roof Barn. It was the first venue we visited and ended up being the only! We fell in love with it instantly. One thing that we really loved besides the beautiful setting and rustic barn, was how inclusive it is. Not having to worry about all the 'small stuff' allowed me to focus on some of the more important things while planning. Kelly and her staff are incredibly helpful and easy to work with. Many of our guests were from out of town and they still can't stop talking about how perfect the venue was. Everyone was blown away. If you are anything like me and want your special day to not only be beautiful but nearly stress-free and absolutely unforgettable, you can not go wrong with the Tin Roof Barn!

My wedding was at Tin Roof Barn on 7/14/18, and it was the best day of my life! The venue is spectacular, and Kelly and her team have thought of every detail for you!! Kelly was super easy to work with from start to finish! The details of this venue are above and beyond anything we saw anywhere else! With the help of Union Event Co. we didn't have to lift a finger!! Even my other vendors could not believe how efficient the venue was!! Our day was something we will never forget and TRB was the perfect setting for us!!

Tin Roof Barn is a fantastic rustic space to host your wedding or celebration. I have had the pleasure of being a part of numerous events at TRB and am always pleased with how the property looks, the venue managers' assist when needed and the overall flow the barn provides. This is a venue, therefore they have nothing to do but provide a space for the wedding, a space for catering, a space for bartending service, a space for DJ, etc. TRB provides all of these spaces and more. I would say you absolutely need a coordinator for the many moving parts that are involved in this historic property - and so many of us are ready to help! TRB is a wonderful space to host your wedding and we love when our clients contact us having booked TRB! Thanks for all your hard work, Kelly! You continually work to serve your clients and better your space. Your work does not go unnoticed! We look forward to many more events together! --- Ginger and You Events Team

I went to one of the first weddings that the Tin Roof Barn hosted, and I'm just now getting around to posting a review. Love this place, enjoyed the wedding, and enjoyed the ambiance and relaxed feel that a barn wedding provided! Everything from the gas firepit to the oak barrels behind the bar are tastefully done and add to the asthetic.

I was at the wedding for setup (groomsman duty=cheap labor), and I was surprised at what I read in previous reviews. I met Kelly and her mom and they seemed like wonderful people who didn't mind lending a hand while we were trying to figure out where to put things. My friends seemed really happy with them.

Very negative experience. Everything from policy changes in the contract, to condescending communication on the wedding day and finally, the owner's response when vendors followed up with her. The saddest part was when Kelly (the owner) CCed the honeymooning BRIDE on personal emails instead of keeping the conversation between vendors! Unprofessional on so many levels. Brides, this is not the experience you want for your family, friends or vendors!

I was married at the Tin Roof Barn this year! After searching the Columbia Gorge area, I knew right away this was the spot for us. The property was a photographers dream and our pictures were featured in our hometown magazine.

I have to admit, aside from the beauty of the place, I also chose this venue because of the warm welcome I received from owner Kelly Regan. I am from a military family and I learned during my tour of the property that Kelly, her two sisters and her father have all served in the military. We had no problem following the rules of the contract and at no time did we feel the owners were unreasonable. In fact, they went out of their way to help us. Our family and friends still rave about the venue.

My husband and I had a perfect wedding at the Tin Roof Barn.

I am reading the negative reviews that are posted and I am simply shocked! They appear to be written over and over by the same group of people who seem to just have an axe to grind.
I have attended two weddings this season at the Tin Roof Barn and both of them were absolutely beautiful and both brides were so pleased with their wedding and the people that worked at the venue. Please disregard their ridiculous negative reviews, find out for yourself how lovely the place is and meet the owners and make your own judgements about the Smith/Regan family owners. They were nothing but kind, professional and helpful. I only wish that The Tin Roof Barn had been available for my wedding two years ago.

We got married at Tin Roof Barn on August 12, 2016. What a great decision to take a chance on a new wedding venue. The facilities are downright beautiful and set up to throw a killer party. We loved how we could get ready at the house on the property, the ceremony area is perfect, and the barn was incredible. The way the light shines through the wood boards of the barn is wonderful and the chandeliers are stunning. It is also a HUGE bonus to have all the tables, chairs, silverware, and other items that you would have to rent at most wedding venues.

There were only a few items the venue should work on for future weddings. We would highly suggest some fans in the main barn since there will be at least a handful of weddings every year with triple digit heat. We brought our own fans and it made the world of difference. The venue also dropped a couple bombs on us the day before and the day of the wedding. One of which was asking if we could start setting up 2 hours later than what was stated in our contract. It all worked out and we stuck with the original time, but it was inappropriate for them to ask us to set up later. We also did not use the standard tablecloths and place settings because we wanted something different and our families worked incredibly hard to make it happen. The day before and the day of the wedding, they seemed to have issues with the way we were doing things, but eventually went along with what we had in mind. At the end of the day, it all worked out and their on-site staff worked with us to make it happen.

All in all, a spectacular venue with great facilities that simply needs to be more flexible with adjusting the standard setup and needs to look farther ahead when asking their guests to change very important details.

My wedding is in two weeks and I have found the owners of this venue to be nothing but helpful and kind throughout the entire process. I have sent the owner Kelly multiple emails with multiple questions over the last 10 months (not short emails either) and she never fails to respond within a day or so with as much info and help as she can give me. The venue is beautiful and I've heard nothing but good things from others who have attended weddings at the Tin Roof Barn.

Aug 22, 2016

I will start off by saying that this venue has a lot going for it. Overall, the venue is beautiful and very well kept and maintained and is well decorated. They market this venue as a place that holds up to 200 guests, which is accurate, but they only have enough tables/dishes/etc to accommodate 150 guests. Anything else you must rent yourself, an they do not let you choose matching items. This venue would have been an amazing wedding venue, however it is unfortunate that the owners are very disorganized, unprofessional, and micro managers. As a wedding coordinator, I have decided that I will not coordinate any further weddings at this location due to the owner, Betsy.

This venue is VERY strict with their many rules and will fine you for very minor things. Rehearsal is limited to one hour with the venue and is not flexible for time (we were told we could do rehearsal no later that 4:00 pm, which is tricky with people working). Betsy was there to greet us at 4:00 pm and make sure that we knew we were to be out by 5:00 pm and not a minute later. Her initial vibe was not friendly and welcoming, but it seemed that we were a bother to her and that we needed to be out as soon as possible. We received constant reminders starting at 4:45 that our time was nearly up.

The contract says that you have the venue at 10:00 am, however you don’t actually have access to the barn until about noon. The entire time we were doing set up, throughout the wedding, and during cleanup, we were being micro managed by Betsy. Our kitchen crew had a terrible time dealing with her and she treated them very, very poorly and unprofessionally. “Rules" were not listed in the rules we had been emailed prior or within the contract, yet Betsy would tell us that these rules were “common sense”. Rules such as no one under the age of 18 handling the dinner plates were not disclosed to us until Betsy found out that the family had hired younger, but responsible family friends to bus tables for us that actually work as bus boys. Betsy chose to micro manage and hover our caterers and their kitchen staff most of the evening, especially when it came to clean up time and washing dishes.

There are no staff on site to take care of typical venue staff duties such as emptying trash bins (you are expected to haul your own trash and replace all trash bags throughout the venue), dishes, and some other clean up duties. As a wedding coordinator, I have honestly never seen a rules or clean up list that was so long and meticulous, yet very disorganized and confusing. There are AM and PM venue managers that walk around and are available to answer any questions, but also watch you the entire time and make sure you’re following the said rules. That seems to be their only job.

I have never been involved with a wedding venue where the owner has been so rude to us and those helping us perform duties such as set up, clean up, and kitchen duties, or a venue that has been so poorly organized and truly unprofessional. I would absolutely not recommend this venue to any bride or groom. The price that they ask is not worth the stress and chaos caused by the owners, especially for a day that is meant to be joyous and celebratory. This venue needs to loosen up and get their contract and rules in order so that brides and grooms are well aware of all of the rules and requirements when they book the venue in the beginning.

Brides & grooms beware of this venue!

BRIDES TO BE AND CATERERS BEWARE!!!!!!!
The physical site and amenities are beautifully done.

As a family friend of the bride, a food service professional, and the caterer for the wedding, this venue was extremely difficult to work with. The most obvious challenge from the beginning was the lack of understanding from the owner, Betsy, and venue staff of what it takes to cater a 175 person meal and the "chaos" that exists in the back-of-house during the dinner rush and clean up. This resulted in the owner micro-managing and intimidating the catering staff during the entire function.
BEWARE that there will be an ever growing set of uncommunicated rules that anyone helping with the wedding needs to be prepared for. I would get in writing the entire set of rules ahead of time, and agree in writing that no additional rules will be added.
BEWARE that the owner will want to clean their dishes in the middle of the caterer cleaning and packing out their own stuff and chastise the caterer for needing to clean up. We rinsed and stacked the dishes according to the rules. The TIN ROOF BARN can wait to wash their already rinsed dishes until the caterer is done and out of the way. The "kitchen" is definitely NOT big enough for two teams to work at the same time. Plus this was not the communicated expectation in the - let’s say it again - RULES. BEWARE that the owner will stand over your dish washing person, as they rinse dishes, chastising their every movement. BEWARE that you cannot touch anything in the catering prep space, such as bus tubs. I would get in writing that the venue owners and their staff ARE NOT TO USE the "kitchen" before, during, and after the dinner service for a set amount of time, such as the time you rented the venue. The owner had the catering staff stop what they were doing and move out of the "kitchen" for 20 minutes, because venue owner did not plan ahead and get their wine glasses out of the "kitchen" storage earlier. And even had the gall to blame the caterer for being in the way.
WHAT A SHAME! It did not have to be this way. This is to be a glorious day for the bride and groom, and their family and friends. The venue owner made ever effort to make the caterers, bartenders, and any other helper miserable. We literally had to designate "handlers" for the owner to placate her. IT WAS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! BEWARE!
Whether the site is beautiful or not, and whether the bride, groom and guests have a beautiful time, as a caterer - RUN AWAY!!!!!! It seems the venue put very little thought and considerations into the physical layout for what it takes to serve an entire wedding well. It is not worth the money for you or your staff to be treated the way we were. It is not right for any human being to be treated this way. As I did not do this for the money and I do not need another job from TIN ROOF BARN...Caterers RUN AWAY!
So that is the caterer's two cents......

Carolyn Zuck

Venue itself is beautiful. I helped the caterer for this event. All looks beautiful on the outside, but on the inside (kitchen and bar) be prepared to be micro-managed by a very caustic and unpleasant person, who has no real understanding of how a back-of-the-house catering kitchen works. She literally added a new rule that night, that was not in the original contract. So many more fun, happy, pleasant venues in the Gorge where the families and the help will feel special, honored, and welcomed.

Beautiful location. Attended a wedding at this venue. An easy 15-20 min drive from Hood River. Old farm ambiance with current day amenities, such as kitchen, very nice bathrooms, hardscape seating areas, fire pit, plenty of parking, has disabled parking at a small paved area behind the barn.
