We used Tiger for a few inspections. We asked for George every time because of how thorough and knowledgeable he was. He had a meticulous eye and caught things that a lot of inspectors wouldn’t have (past experiences). I couldn’t be happier nor recommend George and Tiger enough. They are well worth every penny.

Very honest and on top of his extensive report, he gave recommendations with his general unbiased input as if he was in our shoes. Which was highly valuable and something he didn’t have to do for us. George Turner from Tiger Group performed the inspection of the 1971 built home we are buying. George was very professional and took great care in performing the inspection. He took us to every area in and around the house where he found items that needed to be addressed immediately as well as items that we should monitor going forward. We had an inspection done today for a new home and our inspector Dave Stevenson did an excellent job with our inspection. He was very friendly, well organized and took his time with our inspection. He also explained and showed us things throughout the home that we needed to know about. He showed us how some of the appliances and cooling/heating system should work. Based on today’s experience with our inspector Dave, I would definitely recommend and use Tiger Group again for a home inspection.

Very comprehensive, informative and efficient. And the expert went everywhere - roof, attic, in the electric panel, etc, etc. And with infrared was able to see behind ceilings and walls. Impressive.

Absolutely horrible. They missed EVERYTHING and have cost me so much money after closing all because they missed legit everything. The guy they sent to my home claimed to have been doing this for 20 plus years yet there were obvious things missed. Just a horrible experience and I'm so frustrated with how much money this house has now cost me due to their negligence. The inspection is the most crucial part of home buying and they completely ruined my experience.

Exceptional service! As first-time home buyers, we were fortunate to have Keith inspect our potential new home. Amazing in so many ways. Ali Neudecker was our inspector (for mold) and she was awesome! Not only was Ali communicative, accommodating and so insightful but she went above and beyond turning around results and report so we can quickly complete our home purchase. He really did a detailed inspection of the house.

Inspectors are crucial to a real estate purchase. We had our upcoming purchase inspected with Tiger. The house is a 1788 colonial so we expected some issues. They really helped us identify the best steps to take to help maintain and address future potential issues. I found them to be very knowledgeable and were able to explain things in a serious but helpful way. Beyond the inspection they were able to give us some insight into the construction and architecture of the building. We received our 40 page report the next morning.

I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again should we ever need a house inspected.

Bottom line: if you are buying an old home in Eastern Connecticut, Alan at Tiger is your man.
Before I even put a home under contract I repeatedly heard one name from realtors and builders as the “go-to” guy for post-and-beam, ballon, or just in general old construction: Alan.

When I finally put a 1871 home under contract and used his services, I was not disappointed. He spent about 6 hours going over the house and barn with a fine-tooth comb and explained every little detail of what he was looking at to us. I’m very “handy” but his knowledge of old construction, electrical work, and plumbing blew me away. I feel extremely confident he identified and properly assessed every issue, and ultimately provided me with huge peace of mind going forward with the sale. Thank you Alan!

I used Tiger Group for my first home inspection January 22 and Patrick did a great job! He already looked at the outside before we even got there. He was very professional and nice, making jokes when appropriate and giving us pointers on some things that didn't effect the inspection, which is nice for first time home buyers! He was very patient and thorough, answering all our questions and concerns with the house. He was also good about going in to detail and being honest when he wasn't completely sure about something and suggested a professional would know more. Dave was an incredibly meticulous and organized inspector! He was thorough in checking everything throughout the house. Any areas of concern he showed to my agent and me, and explained why it was an area of concern. He noted areas that might need replacing, fixing, or attention. His inspection report was very detailed, including pictures and comprehensive descriptions of the areas of concern. During the inspection, he showed me where and instructed me on how to use certain things throughout the house (ie. the water shut off valve) should I need to use it in the future. Dave was very friendly and easy to work with. As a first time homeowner with only basic knowledge about the workings of a home, it was very gratifying that Dave took his time answering my questions and didn’t rush any part of the inspection. I would highly recommend both Tiger Inspections, and specifically Dave, for your home inspection!

Tiger home inspections bases their inspections on feelings NOT the code. I had one of your inspectors read a letter from a licensed electrician about an electrical panel issue. It turned out to be completely up to code. After reading the letter the inspector said it’s not up to MY standard. I refused to change a panel that wasn’t wrong and it cost me a contract. If you pull that stunt again I will be going to the state.

If you’re considering purchasing an historic home, and want to restore it, hire Alan. His level of expertise in exceptional. He was also able to save us from a project we’d never afford to fix. As we go forward, we will continue to rely on Alan’s expertise. Thank you Alan and the whole tiger team.

We had an inspection recently done by Patrick, who did a thorough and efficient job. He found some significant issues with the house we were considering and as a direct result of his work, we chose not to move forward with the purchase.

Not worth the price. I bypassed many lower priced home inspectors for a better and more thorough experience. I 100% did not get that. The inspector showed up 45 minutes before the appointment time and started the inspection without me. He wasn't very informative about things most home owners aren't aware of. He was rushing through the inspection. He didn't even go onto the roof to do a detailed inspection of it. He didn't inform me on specifics that he was looking for and inspecting. Many of my questions were not professionally answered to my liking. Over all the inspector was not very thorough and not communicative as much as we would have liked. After receiving the inspection report we noticed many things were marked "NOT INSPECTED". We called the company and explained our experience as well as our confusion on the report. We were basically told that the inspector is the only one that can answer any questions we have. After speaking with the inspector and explaining our unhappiness, all he did was apologize and say he understands. I would not recommend Tiger home inspections if you're expecting exceptional service. Not worth the extra money. There are plenty of home inspectors that will give the same service we received for half the price.

Our inspector Eric Hackett was great. The inspection was thorough and informative. Eric explained his findings along the way and answered all of our questions and concerns. I was highly impressed with his professionalism. I would recommend them for all home inspections.

Glad we chose Tiger! We compared several home inspection providers for the best quality and price options and were cautious of working with anyone with hidden fees or incomplete inspection packages.
