A Truly Transformative Experience - JC Tonnotti Exceeded Every Expectation!

We are absolutely blown away by the incredible transformation of our home, all thanks to the phenomenal team at JC Tonnotti. We recently undertook a massive exterior remodel that included all new windows, a new door, full siding replacement, a front porch redesign and new gutters. To say we are thrilled with the results is a massive understatement.

Their craftsmanship is superb, but what truly sets this company apart is its people. They didn't just listen to our needs; they became our partners. They took the time to truly understand our vision, collaborated with us on selecting the perfect products and design elements to fit our style and budget, and managed the entire project with flawless precision.

Every single person who worked on our home was a consummate professional. The various trade crews were not only masters of their craft but were also incredibly respectful, personable, and took immense pride in their work. It sounds like we are one of the rare customers that had a poor experience using J.C.Tonnitti. We had two sets of sliding doors replaced. We would not recommend.

What went wrong:
-The owner was not present on day of installation as many other reviews boast. The guy who appeared to be the project manager in charge of our project looked to be a kid in his early 20s. He must have been inexperienced which led to other issues, noted below
-We called ahead to see if we should be inspecting the doors when they were delivered. We were told that we did not need to and they would inspect them on installation. Apparently this was not done, because after the job was complete and the guy was looking to leave, I noticed defects in both panels of one of the doors. I regretfully only took a picture of the smaller blemish, but the larger one appeared to be a large scratch, but in fact was a defect on the inside of the glass panel. (See picture of small defect)
-We were contracted for a SPECIFIC size trim to match the house. During installation, my husband took the day off and was home all day. The project manager decided on his own without consulting my husband, who was home ALL DAY, to install a different WIDER sized trim and in doing so cut our baseboard trim, as well as one of our light switch panels. The trim ended up within 1 cm of the actual light switch and covered the other light switch housing unit, (see pictures). When we brought up our concerns about this, the owner gave us two possible solutions, one being they remove the wrong trim and replace with matching sized trim, or and he suggested the best option, and made it sound like it was easy, was for US to CUT A HOLE in our wall and move the electrical unit over (afterward, we had our electrician come to inspect it and he stated that the proper way to do this would be to remove the trim they put up, cut a hole in the wall to move the box over, seal the open wall that would have be left behind the wide trime, and replace the trim)
-They left a sawdust mess in the kitchen the day of install after cutting out our trim
-We had no idea ahead of time that we would need to paint/stain all of the trim involved, we believe we were paying for a complete job
-When the owner came out to inspect the defective door panels, he did not make a note of the second door panel, which had a small blemish (the one pictured). When they called us to replace the door panels, they had only scheduled to replace one. We needed to take pictures and have that rectified, which delayed replacing the defective doors
-We decided to have them re-install the trim we had originally contracted for, and when they removed the 5" trim with our matching 3.5" trim, they ripped up the drywall all around the door, which WE now need to repair (see pictures)
- The owner was also not present when the trim was fixed. Perhaps if someone who was experienced was there they would have thought to move our matching baseboard trim to the door and put small 1.5" wide pieces in the corners of the room where the trim isn’t even visible. I did not think of this until after the job was complete, and they had already disposed of our old baseboard trim.(see picture where the trim does not match)

What went right:
-The doors that we had installed were a huge upgrade from our previous set
-The company did make an effort to fix most of the issues
-The quote was reasonable compared to other quotes we received. Note, I do not know if the other quotes included completed trim or if they also expected us to finish the job and paint
-They replaced the incorrect trim without charging us

The installers were professional and precise. They were respectful and answered our questions completely. We are satisfied with the workmanship and our new window

Form the quote from Luke to the 6 man installation crew, I couldn't have asked for anything better. They cleaned up and left the place spotless and quite frankly just about dustless too. 4 of my 9 windows were new construction windows and required new framing. All 9 were in and weather tight in about 2 hours. They treated my home like it was their own.

From start to finish, this project went perfectly. This is the second time that I have used J.C. Tonnotti and both times I was extremely pleased.

I am overdue and have been meaning to post a review. We had our roof re-done and then replaced a HUGE bow window and our front entry door in Fall '24.
Mike was our rep and helped us make an informed decision about some not inexpensive work. He was so knowledgeable and had no hesitation answering our questions in direct comparison to a competitors quote. We felt confident Tonnotti was going to do the best job for us and we were right. The roofing crew was amazing and quick and did a really thorough cleanup at the end. The 3 guys (one of whom was Mikes's brother) who did our window and door were true pros and good guys to talk to as well.

JC Tonnotti built and installed 23 windows for us this year. This huge project included the consolidation of 5 pane windows instead one big one, replacement of three huge sliding glass doors and the removal of a bay window and replacement with a flat three pane slider.

When I say this company is great, it’s a massive understatement. Their professionalism is unmatched and their employees are far and away the kindest contractors I’ve ever come across.

We had heard amazing things about JC Tonnotti so decided to go with them for a couple window replacements and for a bay window installation, best decision we made. They were very respectful of our home and placed drop cloths anywhere they would be working and along their walking paths. After the job was complete, they vacuumed and cleaned up any mess. We were home during the entire process and overheard the employees constantly making sure that everything was aligned perfectly. I highly recommend this company if looking for quality work and great service. The gentleman that initially came for the quote and final measurements was extremely knowledgeable and answered questions in great detail. The truck driver who delivered our windows the day before installation couldn’t help but to sing their praises. Great experience beginning to end. Nothing but professionalism beginning to end.

We changed a windows on my house a couple years ago.Anyway I see no difference from the old one that was already there.Lot of wind comes thru the window and also the windows from the day one was never installed the way we wanted.Bad decision was made to hire this company.Now I have to look for somebody else to fix this problem.

I recently had a patio door replaced and a bathroom window installed on my property. Guilmo and Miguel were fantastic and I highly recommend the entire team.

I sent Faith an email requesting a quote and I was able to email her pictures and measurements. After sending the email and awaiting approximately three weeks, I emailed back saying that I never got a response. She apologized and set up an appointment. The appointment was a no call no show. I called and spoke to Faith on the phone and asked why I wasn’t notified about the cancellation. She didn’t apologize, she said that this company is very busy. I believe that they are, however, I am also very busy. And if you make a mistake, that’s OK just apologize and own up to it.
I am just as busy as you are, and my time is just as valuable as yours. We all make mistakes.
Well, I don’t recommend making mistakes, but if you do, it makes you look better if you own up and apologize for your mistakes!
I always say it’s easy to do business with someone when there’s no issues, but it’s how a company responds to problems or mistakes. With the first email, although I did not receive a response, she apologized and promptly got me a quote.

We have had them do work for us several times; vinyl siding, gutters, window replacement and this time roof replacement. Each was the same, they showed up on time, enough workers to complete the job as estimated and they cleaned up after themselves. Also, a fair price and good quality work.

My house looks and feels wonderful with all our new windows and doors and the new stairs from the new patio door are beautiful and definitely add to the safety and comfort leading to our back yard.

JCT did a great job installing our windows. I have used them twice before and highly recommend them. Price was very competitive.

Had a Bow window replaced with a Bay Window. JC Tonnotti’s were in the house within 2 days to provide a comprehensive quote. Luke was very knowledgeable and walked us through the options. He provided a quote immediately and gave us a realistic timeframe for installation. The window arrived earlier than expected and the install crew was onsite 24 hours after the window was delivered. Guilmo, Mejuel, and Maurisyo were prompt, very professional, and knowledgeable. The window looks amazing, and I have no complaints. I would absolutely recommend.

I used JC Tonnotti for my windows, roof and siding. After getting many quotes from other “family” businesses who upsold everything, Mike H came through. 5 STAR. I am a stickler for perfection, trust me! I spent time interviewing 4 window companies to replace very old windows in my 1929 beach cottage in Madison Connecticut. Probably the same that most people see advertised. Although I replaced windows in another home, consumers really don’t know much about something they don’t do very often. We all start with trying to get the price, (that’s really dumb because you might get “new” really subpar windows which probably weren’t much better than what you replaced!) these weren’t the lowest price but they weren’t the highest, but they are by far the very best in product and install- and trust me, INSTALL is the absolute key. The Harvey windows from J.C. Tonnetti are excellent and have a sleek look as well all the energy efficient ratings we need in the northeast. With a 20 year, (and transferable to a new owner) guarantee you have super security. But the thing that truly made me feel that this company was the best was the incredible attention to detail, knowledge and experience that EACH worker had. Luke,Gilmo,Matt,Carlos and Mauricio were amazing. They never stopped doing some small detail during the removal, installation and clean up and they did so in the neatest, kindest, and most professional way. This company is OUTSTANDING because the people are outstanding, honest, talented, experienced and trustworthy. Truly one of the best I’ve ever worked with and so glad I did. If I had any question, detail or anything that went awry or unexpected they went beyond measure to correct it fast and above any expectations. I cannot recommend them enough. Love the windows. The windows tilt in for easy cleaning inside and out, especially handy for our second story loft. They did the install in one day. The installer, Matt, did a great job installing and sealing around the windows. Cleaned up after himself. Very professional!! Met and exceeded our expectations. We are going to have them replace 3 more windows, that we hadn’t thought about, the first go round.

The installation crew arrived on time and did an outstanding job with respect to the installation and the exceptional quality of work. Each worker maintained a high level of professionalism. In addition, they demonstrated a high level of customer service by answering my numerous questions in a very patient and polite manner. They completed the entire installation on the same day and left my home in excellent condition. As a result , I would continue to select Tonnotti, and I highly recommend that you choose them. You will be extremely happy and satisfied.

I'm a little late in posting this comment but better late than never! These guys were the least expensive estimate and the work was great! Love my new roof. I'll definitely ask Tonnatti for a quote on my upcoming project, which will be an addition to my very nice but too small home. :)

JCT replaced 11 windows in our condo in Sept. 2023. We are pleased with the project from start to finish. The rep. was always on time, friendly, informative and thorough. The prices were competitive. Most importantly, the windows are beautiful! I heartily recommend JCT for any window project and will call them back when I am ready to replace my sliders.

My wife and I have been very impressed by the responsiveness and service provided by Luke, a J.C.Tonnotti representative. Luke came to our house to provide a quote for replacing a number of windows. He was very courteous and knowledgeable, explaining to us the features of the Harvey windows he was quoting, and the work that would be done to install these windows.
Upon showing him a problem we had on a Harvey window installed a number of years ago by another company, Luke took it upon himself to contact the manufacturer, and obtain a replacement window under warranty. He later returned with the new window and replaced the faulty window.
Based on our experience with Luke and our interaction with several other J.C.Tonnotti representatives, we placed an order with J.C.Tonnotti. We are confident that these windows will be properly installed with minimal disruption to our house.

I have had such a good experience with these guys putting in my windows and sliding glass door. It was so good I’m also going to have them replace my front door.
The whole crew was very professional and courteous, and friendly. The work was explained very well, and done very quickly. It took 2 days to do all the windows and door, and they cleaned up everything afterwards.
I got prices from 4 different companies, and even though they weren’t the lowest price, I feel that I got a very good deal. The owner and office staff have been VERY responsive and attentive, and the work crew was very respectful and efficient.
Overall, a very good experience and I would DEFINITELY recommend these guys to others.

Just had a Front entrance door with side panels and kitchen/garage entry door replaced. We were impressed by the thoroughness of our initial meeting for an estimate with Mr Tonnotti and his presentation. Doors were delivered on the specified time and the crew that did the work- Guilmo,Miguel and Carlos were professional, hard workers, knowledgeable and friendly. We had our living room windows replaced recently. The whole experience has been excellent and everything was as promised. The quality of work was superior. Highly recommend their services and definitely would use them again.

I had J.C.Tonnotti reroof my house, and I can't say enough praise for them. The entire process was painless. They worked hard to make me happy. They were polite, the workmanship was great, they were fast, considerate, and kept to the schedule. They are an A+ /5 star company all around.

P.S. Updating my review based on my recent conversation with company's representatives. Not only they called me and asked me to remove this review, they also shared my personal data and signed me up for septic tank replacement with multiple companies, probably out of spite. They were also bright enough to admit that. Now I can only wonder what is their next move when my review is updated.

First Installation:
We were very pleased with all the employees of J. C. Tonnotti we have had contact with from the sales person to the office staff to the installers. The quality of the windows and door as well as the workmanship when your crew came to install them last month was obvious. They arrived promptly, reviewed the rooms where the installation was to take place, and got right to work. They were organized, respectful of our property, diligent workers, and cleaned up completely before leaving; in other words, professional. Any interactions with your workers was polite. The crew leader gave us a clear demonstration of how the windows work for cleaning, etc. All in all, it was a very positive experience and we have already placed an order for more windows and another door to be replaced by J.C. Tonnotti.

Second installation:
We recently had a second round of windows and a new front door unit installed by J. C. Tonnotti. The workers arrived on time, reviewed the rooms in which they were doing the installations and started right to work. They worked quickly and efficiently, leaving openings to the outdoors (in February) for as short as time as possible. One team member had to leave to pick up some additional materials which delayed their progress, but they stayed until the job was finished and completely cleaned up. Our house is much brighter and warmer thanks to the fine job they did.

Third Installation:Once again, we enjoyed an efficient and professional installation of windows and door to our garage by a crew of J. C. Tonnotti. It is a pleasure to work with such a dependable company. And, every crew that has been to our home has been hard-working and respectful. They arrive when expected, review the work to be done, and finish the same day, always leaving the premises neat & clean indoors & out.

Fourth Installation: Thanks to you and all of your staff for the very professional installation of the last group of new windows in our home. Everyone did a great job from start to finish, and we are so happy with how much brighter our rooms are. We highly recommend J.C.
