I hired Steve Thurmond sort of by default. I bought a house he was doing work on and the previous owner/seller had no real complaints. Boy, should I have done my homework! He gave me a bid, a reasonable bid for the work needing done. He came for 2 weeks then basically disappeared. He double billed me for work already done. He has POOR workmanship at every level, from electrical to dry walling to plumbing and framing. His initial bid of $8,100 seemed fair and included painting both the exterior and 6 room inside the home plus the garage room. He painted nothing. He gave me a final bill, which exceeded the original estimate by a couple thousand dollars and this, without completing the job! I refused to pay the final bill. If he seeks any legal action I have a ton of witnesses who'll bury him in court. I give him credit for one job well done. He blew in insulation and did it very well.
