When I was thinking about getting my roof replaced I already knew who to call, Thunder City Roofing & Construction LLC. They came out quickly looked at the roof and helped me through the process with the insurance. They were attentive and always replied quickly when I had questions. They worked thoroughly with my insurance to make sure they didn’t miss anything. When it was time to pick out a color they suggested the best colors that would match the house. Install was a breeze and the finished product was better than I expected. When they said they take care of police, fire, and teachers they weren’t lying. Thunder City was great. Professional, with very fast response times and lots of attention to detail. I had a series of roof leaks after some bad rain and they came out the next morning to solve the issue. Lane was able to find and address several possible sources of the leak very quickly. He also gave me some information on what to look for in the future and offered to come back out if the leak remains during the next storm. Most of us have little to no experience when it comes to replacing a roof. You have to trust other people who do this type of work every day. You also have to trust that your insurance company is acting in your best interest. I came to realize that this isn’t necessarily true. Thank goodness for Thunder City Roofing. I discovered them on the internet. There are so many companies that claim to do roofing, it is hard to know who to call. I called Thunder City.

Thunder City responded quickly and, as promised, showed up on time to inspect my roof. They advised me to file a claim with my insurance company after finding hail damage. They were here again when the insurance adjuster came and shadowed him for nearly 2 hours detailing all the damage they had identified. When the insurance company tried to pay to replace only half the roof and make minor repairs to the other half, Thunder City came back again and shot videos to prove that repairs were not possible. The whole roof would need to be completely replaced.

Over several months, Thunder City worked with the insurance company and finally had them agree to replace the entire roof. They took the extra time and effort to make sure I would get a new, impact resistant, roof that should last long into the future. There are lots of companies you can call for a new roof. Make sure to include Thunder City when you are getting bids.

In my career as a licensed insurance adjuster, I have been on thousands of rooftops across the nation, ranging from ramshackle homes to multi-million-dollar estates. Soon after a recent May hailstorm damaged my own roof, I was visited by Project Manager Daniel Rodriguez of Thunder City Roofing & Construction. Normally, I am leery of anyone door knocking regarding repair work, but Daniel and I had a great and casual conversation about the ins and outs of the roofing business on my front porch. I listen to my gut when reading people and decided to entrust Daniel with our roof replacement and the ensuing back and forth with the insurance company. From the beginning of the process, it has been as trouble-free as I could hope for. Daniel met with my insurance adjuster at the initial inspection of my property and impressed me with his good-natured interaction and overall demeanor. He asked all the right questions of my adjuster and was not at all confrontational in their conversation. As an adjuster myself, this is the kind of collaboration that is becoming more and more rare to see, so I appreciated that detail.

Soon after meeting with Daniel, I was contacted by Thunder City Roofing owner Brant Holloway and learned more about the “other” side of the adjustment process. My wife and I were told exactly where our claim was in the negotiation process, and I regularly received updates from both Brant and Daniel. Thunder City Roofing was able to bring my roof decking completely up to code using my policy coverage; a feat that has become more and more of a challenge in recent years. My home was built in 1968, and the roof decking was 1x8 planks with numerous rotted/broken planks and large gaps between them. In the end, our entire roof surface was overlaid with OSB to ensure a quality nailing surface for our new roof. Doing the job right was of paramount importance to everyone at Thunder City Roofing.

The roof crew with Thunder City Roofing was nothing short of excellent and impressive. The crew arrived at my home at 630am, and, after a complete tear-off, a full re-deck, and complete roof replacement of my fairly large roof, were doing final clean-up by 1230pm. Oh, and did I mention that they also re-roofed my 28x30 shop in that time? Simply unbelievable. The cleanup was extremely thorough, and the crew left nothing for us to worry about. They even moved our plants and returned them to their places upon leaving. Small details like that really set Thunder City Roofing apart from the status quo. Daniel remained on site for the duration of the installation and worked closely with his crew members. The level of workmanship and pride by all crew members was simply top-notch. No one had to be micromanaged or reminded of details; they simply were a well-oiled machine in top form for the entire process.

In closing, I simply cannot say enough positive things about Project Manager Daniel Rodriguez, Owner Brant Holloway, and the talented crew at Thunder City Roofing. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others. Our new roof is absolutely beautiful, and I cannot believe the difference that it makes in that much coveted pursuit of “curb appeal.”

Our roof was approaching nine years old and had taken its fair share of hail over the years. Brant from Thunder City came out and did a thorough inspection of our roof with a drone and walked the entire roof. With his guidance we decided to file a claim with our insurance company (Mercury). The insurance company threw up roadblocks at every turn to try to not pay us out for a new roof, but Thunder City came through in helping us successfully get the claim approved. Without Thunder City we would have given up on our claim.

Insurance companies aren't in the business of giving out free money. Make sure you have Thunder City fighting for you!

His guidance through the process made us comfortable and to this novice that’s very important. Where we might only go through this process once, he does it daily and understands our concerns. He offered us choices consistent with our HOA, brought our roof drip edges up to code, and worked with the insurance company for the supplemental claims our roof needed. His crew started when he said they would and worked continuously until the roof was completed. It was a long day with a supervisor present throughout.
