We have an 80 year old tile roof that is still in good shape. We had a few tiles that were either broken, displaced or missing, so I contacted Three Rivers Roofing & Waterproofing. Ryan came out and reviewed all of the areas with me. He put us on their schedule, and a few weeks later the crew showed up and knocked out all of the work in half a day. Everyone I dealt with was very professional, and provided excellent service. I highly recommend them for your roofing needs.

Al and his team did a fantastic job replacing broken/missing slates on our roof, replacing our copper downspouts that had broken seams, and inspecting and resealing flashing around the chimney and plumbing vents. He was able to diagnose our issue and get us a quote the following day. I would very much recommend Al and Three Rivers Roofing. I have a flat roof that was leaking into the interior of my house. I had several roofing companies over to look at the roof and provide a quote to fix the leak. The solution for each company was to resurface the entire roof without even attempting to find where the leak was coming from. All the quotes I received were between $8k and $14k. Al responded to my call and was able to stop over the same day. He took the time to actually look for the leak rather than trying to sell me on an expensive roof replacement. He identified the leak source within minutes and filled the hole with rubber sealant FREE OF CHARGE! After the next few days following some heavy rain, Al called and followed up to make sure that the leak was fixed, it was. After confirmation, he stopped back over to put a permanent patch over the hole. He even patched over some other spots and seams on the roof that weren’t leaking, but could potentially cause some issues in the future, without me even asking about them. Total cost for the repair was under $200 vs the $14,000 quote I received from other companies. Incredibly happy with Al’s repair, promptness, and professionalism. I cannot recommend him enough!

We highly recommend Al and Three Rivers Roofing. Al stuck with us over a period of months and fixed every problem with our roof, even ones traced to the work of an earlier contractor. We own a wooden Victorian house from the 1890s, with a steep asphalt shingle roof, located at the top of a high hill in Pittsburgh. Shingles kept blowing off in the wind and we had a troublesome leak. Al figured out every problem and solved it. He personally got on our roof and discovered three nails improperly placed and told us this was the cause of our leak. We did not believe it at first, but sure enough, after Al fixed the nail problem we have not had a leak. He also developed an attractive solution to an inadequate original copper gutter. Al is a great diagnostician of roof issues.

Came out within same day to view and assess the roof and provided written estimate on the spot after discussing what he felt the issues were causing the leaks. This man is the totally professional, highly ethical roofing expert you pray you find when you need a roofer. Al has personally showed up on EVERY job his company has ever done to ensure the work was done to my satisfaction. This is the standard to which every contractor should be held. The "Al Lambert standard" shows he cares about the customer, is ethical in his business dealings and that he understands the value of having a customer be able to confidently refer others to his business. Awesome service. Agree with the others here that say they would not trust anyone else with their clay / slate tile roof. They even had tile to replace the broken ones that were a perfect match for my rare, 50 year old tile. Lifesaver!

I had a bunch of leaks in my tile roof. Al came out, went up on the roof, and took pictures of everything he found. He found the same things and then more compared to the two other companies I had look. Needed to replace the valley flashing, a bunch of broken tiles, etc. We went into the attic to verify where leaks were getting in with what he found on the roof. I knew nothing about tiles roofs, and he explained the differences with a tile roof that would help with avoid damage in the future.
Soon after the crew came out and started working on my roof. Al sent pictures of everything they fixed. It was nice to see before and after pictures so I know what was actually done to my roof. I was informed of everything that was going on.
Been a couple weeks now and have zero leaks. Went into my attic to confirm as well. All in all a good experience. Al's a good guy that I trust isn't going to screw me over. Would recommend!

Three Rivers Roofing has been great to work with on numerous occasions. We have a house that's nearly 100 years old with a tile roof. The prior owners did not maintain the roof as well as they should have. TRR has done a great job with a few repairs since purchasing the house and their work has been of high quality each time. Al has been very responsive, thorough in explaining each issue and resolving it each time. I would highly recommend this contractor.

Gave Al a call on short notice for fascia installation following a home inspection. It was an extremely complicated job which I had been told by other roofers would be nearly impossible due to closeness of my neighbor's house. Al came out the same day I called to take a look and had a crew on site Monday morning. Really exceptional responsiveness and knowledge that's hard to find among contractors. If you need a job done well and are looking for someone who stays in touch, these are your guys.

Very poor experience with Al and Three Rivers Contracting. I recently hired Three Rivers to fix a roof leak that was allowing water to enter my home. I’ll provide a very detailed account of the experience below for people who are considering hiring Three Rivers Contracting, but the short version is they told me it would cost $3,650 to fix the water issue. They completed the work but the issue is completely unresolved. Three Rivers Contracting and Al refuse to address the issue and have taken my money without doing what they were hired to do.

I called Al to discuss getting a quote for a roof leak that was allowing water to enter my main bedroom. Al was kind and prompt in setting up a time to inspect the roof and provide a quote. About a week later Al stated he had gotten up on the roof and suggested some repairs that would cost between $3500-$4000 depending on the final cost of materials. I asked if this would resolve the water issue (as this was the entire purpose of getting the work done) and Al said it would. A few weeks later I called Al back and agreed to hire him for the job.

Al wasn’t able to start the repairs for a few weeks because of rainy weather in the area, which was understandable. A few days later I sent Al photos of the damage the water was causing inside and asked if he knew where we were in terms of scheduling because the water damage was getting worse. Al said we would be the next job as soon as there is a clear day and even provided a couple of suggestions to mitigate the water damage in the meantime. It’s clear that the only reason I was getting the work done was to stop the water leak. As promised, a worker came by a few days later and completed the work. The work took less than a full day. Al came by the following day to pick up a check for the work and said we should be good to go and to call if there were any issues as the work comes with a 1-year warranty.

After the next rainstorm I noticed water still coming in all of the same spots as before. I sent Al a text message to let him know the issue was still happening and he gave me a call to discuss. Al advised there could be issues with the siding or maybe an issue with another totally separate portion of the roof. This was quite a surprise as this was NEVER mentioned before. The job was sold as $3,650 to fix the water leak, NOT $3,650 and it might fix it, it might not. I don’t know anything about roofs so I trusted what Al told me. Al then went on to tell me the contractor who remodeled the house prior to me purchasing the property should fix this and I should take it up with them or the home inspector? He went on to say he hates working on these “flip” homes because they are all junk, etc. Maybe that’s true, I don’t know, but why would you not review this before agreeing to the job. Instead they took my money and didn’t fix the problem. Three Rivers has been extremely unaccountable and have done nothing but blame the previous owners of the home and home inspector. I don’t understand how this is relevant since they were hired to fix the leak and they didn’t fix the leak at all. Now I’m out thousands of dollars and have to find someone else to fix the leak. Absolutely awful experience. Avoid at all costs.
