Our project was replacing conventional decking on two decks with some substructure upgrades as well. This project was also a winter build with a real Pennsylvania winter – multiple snow/ice/sleet storms and many sub freezing days. Even so, our assigned crew and crew leader, “Aaron” persevered and got the job done. One of the decks was long and second story with numerous areas requiring precision fitting, and inletting which was done primarily by Aaron with his right hand, man, Tommy. The attention to detail was truly second to none. These guys are genuine craftsman.

I needed to have my deck replaced but didn't know exactly what I wanted. Matt had materials with him so I could see what to pick up. He gave me some suggestions which I appreciated. I needed a dog ramp from my second story deck and he did a beautiful job. When my one little dog was sliding and afraid since she is a tripod, he came up with a great solution. He was here within days with slip-resistant tread which he applied himself. My deck is perfect. I cannot wait to get some furniture and sit on it in the spring! Great experience with the Gerger team on our recent redecking. They took our old, wood deck down to the foundation, moved the stairs, and upgraded to composite. Exceptional Deck Installation
Gerger Construction recently installed a new deck for me, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed.
The Deckorators Venture decking material is not only visually stunning but also durable. (High winds and flimsy outdoor flying metal furniture can damage it, though, so plan ahead for bad weather.) For other care directions, read the Deckorators pamphlet that will arrive in the mail (for example, metal furniture and excessive heat do not equal this kind of deck).
One of the deck's standout features is the Duralux vinyl t-railings. These railings exude sturdiness and reliability, providing safety and beauty.
What truly sets Gerger Construction apart, however, is the workmanship. The lead worker assigned to my project demonstrated a level of diligence and work ethic that is truly commendable. I recommend this company if you are looking to upgrade your deck.

Gerger Construction did a fabulous job on a large Trex deck I had installed at my house. Matt was on time for our appointments. He is very knowledgeable and was prepared for all of my questions. He handled all of the permits required and the deck went up so fast I couldn't believe my eyes. It was a great experience all the way around!

We hired Gerger Construction and Hunter Jesse for our deck and patio roof project. Their communication, hard work, and attention to detail was excellent. For me, the true value of a contractor shows up after the project is over and if any issues occur do they respond with the same customer service. After the job was complete, we had a few minor things come up (normal stuff) and both Gerger and Hunter responded quickly, were respectful, and knocked out a few punch list items. If you're looking for quality workmanship with communication/integrity, Gerger and Hunter are great.

After searching for a contractor to repair my deck for 18 months, I decided to do a new deck with Gerger. The new deck was much more than I had planned to spend. I chose Gerger after seeing all the 5 star reviews. From the begining to the end, Matt was professional, honest, and knowledgeable (my steps were not up to code).
