My husband gave Thomas lumber co almost 10 yrs. He was a great worker. He worked overtime many days. He helped do jobs that wasn't his. He was so dependable that the owner and his son had him do jobs at their personal homes. Why? Because they knew he would do the job right. He did jobs for the Thomas family that were personal. Over a month ago he was told he got a raise. After two years of not getting one, he asked and they said yes. One month went by and he didn't see the raise on his check. He asked again and they said, he definitely got a raise. Then an unfortunate event happened. My husband was fired. He has been on meds for a while now and he even gets a shot called the Stella Block. Well the shot was wearing off and he had to wait for an appointment. He got in an altercation with a fellow employee and pushed him to the ground. My husband was suspended from work for one week without pay and then told he was fired. Now my husband and I understood why he was fired and he left calmly with dignity. After they told him he was fired the next day he personally returned his shirts and back brace. The guy he pushed was there and the owners son. He humbly apologized to the man and the man was understanding and didn't press charges. The owners son shook my husband's hand. The owner was there but never even got out of his seat. So my husband left. About a week later my husband got his last check stub in the mail and no raise. Now my husband and I know in the end the Thomas family will put their company first and they should. However with every sacrifice my husband made for them, and their company, we felt unappreciated and used. They owe him his raise, a raise that he earned and was told he had. Now I know to a million dollar company, $70 -$100 is change. But to a family that works paycheck to paycheck, its important. We have no plans to contact the company because Thomas lumber co never knew my husband's worth. It was only hrs after he was suspended, his co workers sent him pictures of his job being advertised. Not to mention they were offering more pay to do the same job my husband did for 10 yrs. This is what the Thomas's think of their employees. My husband was asking them for years that he needed decent help and he was getting older. Yet they would put a new guy with him that he would have to train. If my husband was lucky enough, which was seldom and the guy stayed, then the Thomas's would take the new guy away from him and give him someone else to train. All the while my husband is getting older, so his body is getting wore out. He has been to the doctor for his back and his shoulder. But the Thomas's kept him on that truck. I'm sorry for the long article but I have to speak out for my husband. Working for Thomas lumber Co is extremely difficult. Employees come and go everyday because once they realize how much they have to do, the rules that aren't in forced, the lack of pay and the uncaring attitude from the Thomas's for their employees, they move on to something else. I give Thomas lumber Co 2 stars, 2 stars for the good times my husband had working there.

I went there for a carpet tube for a project and they were more than happy to give me one for free. They were very kind and will be getting my business when I move to do some carpet repair.

Thomas lumber is such a friendly and helpful atmosphere, everyone seems to greet you with a smile or atleast a friendly hello. They always help load my materials or go above and beyond on the deliveries to jobsites. Couldn't ask for a better local business to deal with and help support.

quick unloading no problem with people who work there really nice exit the building make sure you make wide turn when exiting it’s little tight

Called in to check on some boards needed for a project. Salesman was unwilling to even look up the price and flat out told me to call Lowe's back and go with them since their wood is a different color. I was not about to argue with someone that doesn't want to work(the boards were for underneath and would not be seen at all so color didn't matter) and since i had asked already a couple time for the quote and he redirected, i just said ok and hung up. I won't be calling these guys back at all for anything. Very poor business to send someone away rather then just look up a price.

Always extremely helpful. I'm not a commercial builder, but they've always bent over backwards to give me good, personal customer service.
