After we called a couple companies, Big Timber roofing came by to inspect our damage. Before even engaging me, Kory flew the drone and assessed the cause. He was very up front and honest about the work needing done. When the crew came to fix everything, they went above and beyond by fixing the chimney cap that wasn’t apart of the original assessment. If we have future roofing needs, Kory will be the one we call!

They treated us awful and just didn't explain anything to us, etc. I called Kory on a Saturday and he answered. Our roof was damaged by hail, so a friend recommended Big Timber. Kory, the owner, came out and flew a drone over the house to look for any damage. Once that was completed, he gave a written quote. Shortly afterwards his team started work. They found and replaced some water damaged OSB around one of the dormers. Our old-fashioned box vents were removed and replaced with ridge vents. I was pleasantly surprised to see them use synthetic felt instead of tarpaper under the shingles. Synthetic is slip-resistant and more durable, so roofers don't have to worry about tearing the underlayment during installation. Synthetic roof underlayment is also resistant to UV rays and moisture, so roofers can leave it exposed temporarily if they don't finish roof replacement in a single day. There were two areas on the edge of the roof that were damaged by water flowing down from adjacent roof valleys. Kory had the team but drip edge metal on these spots to prevent future damage. One complete, the roof shingles had a beautiful 3- D pattern which set it apart from the flat appearance of our old roof.

The work and price were great! I was a little disappointed in the communication as they did not show up on the scheduled day (which was fine, things happen) however there was not any communication about the delay. I called, texted and emailed several time and finally got a response 3 days later. Secondly when final payment was picked up warranty and contract was supposed to be left with us. We received neither. I again called, texted etc. and no response. Hope if something happens down the road I can get it rectified since I have nothing in writing.

Big Timber did an excellent job replacing the roof and was a great experience all around. The bidding process was straightforward, smooth and competitively priced. The crew work was exceptional. They worked long hours to complete the job in two days. Much care was taken to avoid damaging the shrubs and flower beds, and they laid down tarps to collect all the fasteners and scrap materials. In walking and observing roof repairs in my neighborhood following the storm damage, the same workmanship and care was not taken. First rate, go with these guys.

Having to fork up thousands of dollars for a roof replacement is never an easy expense. I’ve had to replace two roofs within the past year (multiple properties). I can say that choosing to go with Big Timber Roofing was the best decision we could have made.

Kory went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied with our roof. Even to the point of when I reached out about a concern I had with the OSB getting wet in the rain, he offered to bring additional boards the next day himself to ease our minds. At the end of the job he sat down with us to answer any additional questions as well as ensure we would have all the required information for the great roof warranty they offer.

One thing that stood out from our previous roof install with a different company is that big timber roof did everything possible to ensure that the original quote we received was what the end price was. Kory was up front and honest about all costs. He understands that a roof purchase is a big expense and wants to make everything as smooth as possible.
