Johnny, Josh, Vera, and Landin are not only great at what they do but also genuinely good people. They were personable, attentive, and took the time to listen to my requests throughout the project, ensuring everything was completed to my satisfaction. Sergio and the hardworking crew tackled the job with efficiency and dedication, showing great respect for my property by keeping the worksite tidy and cleaning up thoroughly at the end of each day.

I am so grateful to Jonny at The Roofing People! When my 90 year old mother got got a letter from her insurance company threatening to cancel her policy if she didn't replace her roof, I started calling local roofers. I'm in Virginia so had to do it remotely. I got five quotes, some of them quite high. Jonny's quote was very reasonable but, more importantly, he advocated for my mom to the insurance company and was able to get $5,000 of the cost covered. He was the only contractor who even mentioned this possibility. He spent time inspecting the roof in person (some used drones to see the roof) and then gave a very detailed estimate. Scheduling was easy and the crew finished the work on time. He then contacted the insurance company to make sure they knew the work was completed. I highly recommend this company!

After age and weather, including roof leaks that began to create significant interior water damage on my first and second floors, it was clear that I would need to completely replace my existing flat roof.

I contacted 7 local roofing companies that advertise heavily on local print and broadcast media hoping for the "quality service" consistently mentioned in their advertisements. Unfortunately I was greatly disappointed. From outrageous pricing to estimates made without inspection, and in several cases not even a return call.

After a great deal of frustration and near desperation, I reached out to The Roofing People. One of the best decisions I have made as a homeowner. Within 8 minutes of completing the contact request, I received a call from Justin K. Justin listened to the issues I was experiencing and arranged to inspect my roof the same day. After a thorough inspection Justin PROFESSIONALLY explained options that were and were not available. I received a very detailed estimate for near identical roof replacement services and the cost difference between other local roofers and The Roofing People was incredible. While the cost difference was extremely significant, the professionalism and workmanship was not. I was in constant contact with Justin and the staff of The Roofing People. My calls and texts were answered almost immediately (even well after office hours). The timeframe from start to finish was identical to the estimated completion projection.

When the actual replacement began, the roofers could not have been more friendly, professional, and took every opportunity to explain the work being done.
Once the work was completed a final inspection with Justin was done and my confidence in The Roofing People was validated! I could not be more pleased with my decision to have my roof replacement done with The Roofing People.

The roofing people were the definition of transparency, any issue or question was brought to my attention. It starting raining during my roof replace and the team was ready to protect the structure with tarps and even removed large pieces of foam to guarantee there was no leaks in the house. Great people and company. They helped with every step of the insurance claim for my damaged roof. They showed up to start the job when they said they would. They completed removal of two layers of shingles and finished a new metal roof in two days. They cleaned up afterwards and left the property like they had never been there. I can’t say enough about them. If you are looking for a great roofing company look no further.

The Roofing People were absolutely fantastic, efficient, and offered superb value for money. We encountered an issue with our TPO roof that wasn’t draining as it should. I reached out to several roofing companies via Thumbtack in hopes of obtaining quotes. The Roofing People responded to my inquiry incredibly promptly and were able to present me with a detailed quote within just 2 days. Notably, their quote was the most competitive, surpassing others by a significant margin. They initially planned to carry out the work a few days later, but due to unexpected rain, we had to reschedule. I was genuinely impressed and thankful for their professionalism and their decision not to risk the job by working on my roof during the rain. When the day arrived for them to address our roofing issue, they executed the job swiftly, all while being mindful of our space and privacy. Since their intervention, I haven’t encountered any problems with the installation. I can confidently say that they will be my first call for any roofing concerns or needs moving forward.

My experience with The Roofing People left much to be desired. From the start, the company exhibited a concerning level of disorganization and poor communication. It took an astonishingly long time to receive an accurate estimate, with three different representatives visiting my property without appearing to coordinate with one another. This lack of cohesion continued throughout the project, leading to confusion and frustration.

Scheduling was a nightmare, with a last-minute rescheduling leaving me in the lurch. Despite paying half of the project cost upfront for materials, there was a complete lack of communication when the materials failed to arrive as promised. What's more, even though I had paid upfront, the work did not commence for a full month, leaving me in the dark with no updates or explanations.

However, when the work finally commenced, it was done efficiently and professionally over a two-day period. The most significant issue was the company's lack of communication regarding invoicing and payment. I had to repeatedly request an updated invoice, and when someone did finally appear for payment, it was without prior notice. The final straw was when they erroneously asked for payment again after I had already settled the bill. In summary, while the actual work performed by The Roofing People was satisfactory, the lack of communication, scheduling mishaps, and payment issues made this a frustrating experience. Proceed with caution and be prepared for delays and miscommunication.

The Roofing People did a great job replacing my roof. They worked with my insurance and made the whole process smooth. My roof looks great and I am very happy. I worked with Justin and he was very helpful and informative. I highly recommend them.

Justin was a huge help! Made sure the insurance adjusters didn’t miss any damage that needed to be repaired, helped me pick the best day to get it done. His team was very clean with the removal of my old roof and installation and got it done faster than I would’ve expected. Roof looks super nice now and I have piece of mind knowing I’m not going to have any issues with it.

Outstanding roofing company! The roofing work was great--the ridge caps were in perfect alignment as were the shingle lines. They were very responsive when I had questions and a delight to work with. I highly recommend them.

After roof sustained severe wind damage, I contacted Justin and he helped me every step along the way to get my roof replaced and repaired. He was very flexible when it came to scheduling as the solar company getting the solar panels removed proved to be the biggest obstacle and we had to keep moving the roof repair date accordingly. Justins communication was key throughout the process. His response was prompt and timely every time I reached out. As the picture shows, the crew did excellent work, and only quality materials were used. They completely finished the job in one full day.

This review is in response to very quick action on the part The Roofing People. Our previous experience was not pleasant and for this reason, we originally left a negative review.

However, the very next day we were contacted by a gentleman named Justin. Justin was very empathetic and apologetic for the experience we had previously. Justin completely turned our opinion of the company around, as he agreed to make things right.

As of the time of this review, our roof has been repaired, and we are so completely satisfied with Justin's sense of integrity, and are pleased with the work his team performed. It's clear that The Roofing People do in fact value customer satisfaction.

In 2019 I had my roof tile replaced, due to hail damage. At the time, the work was done under Maez Construction.

Due to the recent winds, a section of our roof tile came loose. No problem, this should should be under warranty, though it seems we're now under the umbrella of The Roofing People.

Our experience with this company was AWFUL. They made a commitment several times to come out. We had an initial visit to inspect the damage, but the company failed to show up every single time after that. We worked with a man named Josh, who was completely unprofessional, rude, immature and not at all willing to help. Josh was speaking to me as if he was an angry ex boyfriend having an argument.

Because of this experience, we will NEVER use Maez Construction or The Roofing People. We will also be posting on all major social networks, to discourage others from subjecting themselves to such poor service and lack of professionalism. Both companies will also be reported to BBB.

Josh even sent a threatening text message to my personal phone after we decided we would contact another company.

I am an insurance adjuster and see all types of roofs and roofing contractors, and I chose this roofing contractor since they have always done a great job on past projects that we worked on

Just had our roof replaced yesterday due to wind and hail damage. Justin was great through the entire process. We have a tough insurance carrier, but he was able to point out the damage and show the need. He was fantastic. The roof crew was efficient, respectful and did a great job. The roof looks great and I highly recommend. We liked working with them so much, that we are even quoting out a patio cover addition with them.
