The Brothers That Just Do Gutters - Columbia, SC

The technician chipped the paint off of the edge of the gutters, everywhere his ladder was placed. One would think for a company that “only does gutters” that they would have and use ladder pads to avoid damaging property during the cleaning process. Highly disappointed for the amount charged for the service.

In October 2024, I hired Brothers to clean my gutters. In June 2025, I noticed plants growing from the gutters, so I climbed a ladder to check a section that was easy to access. I found at least an inch of compacted soil inside—clearly the result of long-term decomposition. There’s no realistic way that level of buildup occurred in just 9 months.
Upon reading my initial review, the owner (or representative) later called and insisted that, according to the work order, it wasn’t within the scope of work to remove the gutter guards and clear compacted debris. I’ve posted the work order for reference. I’ll take responsibility for not reading the fine print because life got in the way, but I did expect—based on our phone conversation and the $668 price tag—that more would be done than just blowing off surface leaves. Note, for an additional $824 they would remove the guards and remove the debris (which is what I thought they were going to do to begin with), but then I would need to find someone to put the guards back on after spending $1,492 with Brothers.
For anyone considering this company—or any gutter cleaning service—be aware: they may not remove gutter guards to clean underneath (so what's really the point if you're going to only go halfway), and even if they do, they might not reinstall them. Ultimately, I'd liken their service to a getting your car washed with dirty water. It may knock some of the bird feces off your car, but it's not really clean.

This will be a honest review. I scheduled with them for a quote to have my gutters cleaned due to heavy rains overrunning my gutters back on 5/25 2025, they arrived on 6/4/2025 ahead of the scheduled date that was given which was very awesome. I would give a higher rating but the reason I’m not is due to it was stated in my estimate that all debris would be cleaned up and removed from the property. I found a big chunk of debris laying on the ground when I got home from work, and there was shingle grit all inside of one gutter in particular that ran down onto the new splash block I installed, covered my newly laid out mulch I put down along with nails that came out the gutters that were sitting on the splash block. I even took video of me shaking the gutter and the shingle grit would not stop coming. May of just been an off day for the employee that attended to my gutters but for the price that shouldn’t be a reason not to do things properly.

Smooth sailing from the beginning to the end. No unnecessary sales presentations. Scott was professional and to the point. The people who installed gutters were prompt, knowledgeable and skillful. No unexpected extra charges. I would definitely recommend this company.

Professional, courteous, friendly, responsive. Joseph, who came to my home today, was super polite and effectively cleaned out my gutters, and cleaned up all the detritus that fell around the house. Strongly recommend.

Ramon and Marc were early, efficient and very professional.
I would highly recommend them again. Ramon showed me before and after pictures and explained everything about my repair.

Joseph and TJ came out again today to install an elbow piece and another gutter piece to the 2cd downspout that was added last week. They were extremely courteous on both occasions and I'm very satisfied with the work done. In addition, I wasn't charged for the elbow piece and extension piece today, which was a pleasant surprise.

TJ and Joseph were EXCELLENT! They were neat, organized and friendly. From Chip, to the office staff, to the install crew, I am very happy that I chose Brothers Gutters!

We needed only approximately 20' of gutter replaced for a larger size, and perhaps 20' of larger downspout...but we were treated as though we spent thousands. The estimate was free, communication was precise, scheduling the work was convenient for us, and the cost of replacement was very fair. The two employees, TJ and Joseph, who completed the work were finished within an hour. They were polite, professional, clear-headed (that's my diplomatic way of saying no signs of drugs nor alcohol), and respectful of our property...simply two happy young men who worked well together and appeared to enjoy and take pride in their work...definitely fans of the saying, "If you have time to do something a second time, you have time to do it right the first time." TJ and Joseph are wonderful customer-facing employees and a reflection of those running the show.

Had gutters put on a 30×50 metal building and a 16×16 shed. Scott came out to do the estimate. Very friendly and helpful. Installers Ramon and Marc were on time for job. TJ & Joseph did a fantastic job replacing my under-sized downspouts & they look fantastic! Showed up on time, provided a remedy with my sump pump drain line tie-in I hadn't anticipated with the bigger downspouts at the underground drain line & left the area as they had found it. Will definitely be calling The Brothers...Gutters in the future if I ever need gutter and/or downspout repairs or replacement!!!

Great experience. These guys are very customer focused and took plenty of time to make sure I was comfortable with the job. Scott was very available. Easy to talk to; easy to ask questions. Never felt like any question or concern was inconvenient for him. Shout out to Marc & Ramon for an excellent installation experience. Ramon and Marc exceeded my expectations on how the installation went. They worked in partial rain, but that didn't stop them and it didn't take long. Any questions I asked, they answered, and they didn't need anything from me. The work looks good and I have a shed that I may have this company wrap gutters around it when I am ready. Whenever that happens, I hope they send me Ramon and Marc again!

The most professional job I have ever seen. We purchased a new house in Sumter, SC., and called The Brothers That Just Do Gutters. From the very beginning to the end was fantastic. They displayed concern for what I needed and explained the process. Marc and Ramon showed up on time and the install began. Those guys are true professionals. Very friendly and explained things thoroughly. Their job was really beyond my expectations. Cleaned up really good. Our gutters look great and we appreciate the work they did. From the Solutionist (Eric) to the technicians/Installers (Marc & Ramon) it was a phenomenal experience. The pricing was very competitive, they came out the next day and did our gutters in about 5 hours. Appreciate their professionalism and how clean everything came out.

Info for perspective: we have a new construction so it was just a install on a single family home.

Gutters Brothers, were at my house today, November the 30th and they did an excellent job,, 2 guys, very respectful, work very hard, and did an excellent , excellent job ON TIME , Eric was excellent. They did an awesome job! I had a small job that I thought might be difficult to get someone to do. They quickly scheduled an estimate and didn't try to upsell me. They informed me that there was a minimum charge, which was very reasonable and actually aligned with this job (and was less than I thought it would be). Matched my other gutters well, came out the next week, and quickly replaced the damaged section. Looks great, with attention to details like integrating the downspout into my existing drain. Rained last night, and the gutters work great. Very pleased.

Marc and Ramon did a great job on a tricky gutter installation. They were very professional and accommodating. This company was highly professional and communicative, which is not always the case with home repairs. I strongly recommend them.

Brothers was an excellent choice for me. Eric - the representative who did my estimate- was straightforward and didn’t upsell me. Although Brothers wasn’t the cheapest estimate, they were reasonable and I decided to go with them when I asked Eric a question over the weekend and he replied to me immediately even though he was traveling. That told me they care about their customers. Ramon was the installer and was prompt, professional, explained what he was doing to address my concerns, and cleaned up the work site when he was finished. I have been very impressed with the quality of the work,, the professionalism, and the customer service of Brothers. I gave them a high Five Stars rating and encourage anyone to give them a chance to bid on your gutters. They won’t disappoint!!

From start to finish I have been impressed with this company!! Eric came to my house on a Saturday to do an estimate because we were rained out during the week. Ad set up the installation and communicated clearly and effectively the process. He sent an excellent team of TJ and Joseph for the installation. TJ and Joseph treated my house as if it were their home!! TJ’s technical explanations were offered without hesitation throughout the day. Joseph’s suggestions for changes to placement of the downspouts and why were offered without us even asking. TJ and Joseph paid attention to detail and installed good quality gutters and gutter guards with good workmanship.

I had a broken gutter that needed immediate attention. I called them up and they had someone out to my house within a few days. Eric came out and told me the problem. He is a straight shooter and there were no games which is very refreshing these days. Within a week he had his guy Clint out and they had the issue fixed at a very fair price. They just earned a lifelong customer.

Contacted this company for a quote to replace my existing gutter system based on the great reviews. I cannot speak to the quality of work as I’m not going with their company. Eric, our “solutionist”, was great up until the sale portion when a family member present requested I take the weekend to make my decision rather than scheduling same day. Eric became defensive and insulting prior to leaving. The experience was the equivalency of inviting a pushy car salesman to my home.

Needed fascia repair due to squirrel damage. They did a great job at a great price and we will definitely call them for any future work.

These folks are exceptional! The price was fair, the service was beyond exceptional, the professionalism and pleasantness were outstanding and they came when they said they would and did the job that I asked for. The Brothers that Just do Gutters did a fantastic job on our 1930's Craftsman house. We added copper gutters along one side of the house where we were getting flooding during SC downpours. The whole team was great, but the installers were especially good--very conscientious craftsmen. They knew what they were doing, and took pride in doing things right. They were careful to check with me and communicate about problems as they arose and made sure I approved all changes to the original plan. They did a beautiful job. So pleased with the results! I highly recommend them.

We had gutters replaced on our 100 year old home. The service was exceptional despite the 100+ degree temperatures. I would recommend them to anyone.
