Had a knock on door, it was a stranger, he said we are doing roof work in your neighborhood and we are offering free inspections…I usually decline and move on this time I decided to let them. 30 minutes later they said I had hail damage more than likely covered by insurance. The experts at Blackbelt Roofer were right, insurance covered a new roof . One month later a great crew of guys showed up and our roof was replaced. From start to finish was stress free. Everyone from sales to management and they install crew weee fantastic !!

Tony contacted me to assess my roof due to storms in the area. After assessing my roof, he told me we had damage and we should be approved for a roof replacement so we put in a claim based on his assessment. We got an appointment with the insurance adjustor but Tony failed to show up at the appointment because he said he was sick. Another employee went in his place for only part of the time and straight told the adjustor that there was not much damage at all with the roof, so shockingly it did not get approved. Tony continued to assure us that he would be able to handle it and get the approval for the damages. He then proceeded to ghost me after multiple texts and calls that went unanswered for weeks. So now I am left with a claim that will increase my insurance premiums and nothing to show for it. I recommend you do not even begin to deal with this company because their word means nothing and they will ghost you at the first challenge.

Travis Stevens/ Blackbelt roofing went absolutely above and beyond expectations. They helped me through my home claims process and even covered my deductible costing me $0 out of pocket. Tony Garver my agent was very helpful & communicative throughout also. They have a ton of different options on roofing and siding. The hardest part of the process was choosing which option to go with. ( we are pretty indecisive people) Once we chose the color and materials they move very quickly and were in contact at all steps of the process. I highly recommend this company.

I have been dreading getting a new roof since we bought our house. After a recent storm I decided it was time to get it over with. I put in an online request for an estimate with TSR. In less than 30 minutes I was called and within an hour Zach came over to inspect the roof. They helped me navigate insurance. Zach has always been professional and extremely easy to get in touch with. I am also very thankful that Gabriel saw how worn down the plywood on the roof was and had the integrity to make sure it was all replaced and up to code, even though it added more time to the project. The crew did a really good job of keeping clean and not damaging any of my plants. The roof looks great! Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

So appreciated Tony's help in reaching out to us to make us aware that our roof was included in an area that had been impacted by wind and hail storm and that we may qualify for a new roof through our insurance. Turns out we did qualify and Tony helped guide us through the entire process from start to finish. He was always available via text or phone and answered so many of my questions along the way. The new roof looks incredible and we plan to use Tony and TSR in the future as we look to sell our current home.

We just completed installing a new roof with TSR this week! From beginning to end, Tony helped us each step of the way to submit an insurance claim for wind and hail damage. Tony helped push the claim through our insurance, get us on the schedule before we listed our home, and pick a great color to coordinate with our home. On install day the team arrived promptly at 7am and stayed until 8pm. They worked so hard and so professionally, cleaning up every last scrap in our yard. We are moving and will be 100% hiring TSR again to maintain our next home's roof.

We used TSR to replace our roof and siding. We were happy to use a locally owned company and at first everything looked good. and that was in winter on 2024. They are now called The Blackbelt Roofer. We now have a completely different review. First, we still have construction garbage that they have not picked up after multiple texts almost a year later. Then about six months in, on the front of the house all the siding near the top windows have circular bulges around each window. Multiple texts and saying they will look into it but have done nothing. Came home after Christmas and now a piece of siding on the top of the back of the house just fell off. No wind, no storm, just fell off. I would never recommend then to anyone. We have yet again sent another text and waiting for an answer with no action. Our next step will be the better Business Bureau and contacting our insurance company to make sure they are not on any approved list to be used.

Replacing a roof is a big job, one that most homeowners shouldn't need to do very often. For this reason, I'm taking the time to write a big review on the big job that was just completed by Travis Stevens Roofing. For those who don't want to take the time to read a big review, I'll summarize here. The final product seems fine, quite good, in fact. I've had a roof replaced on a previous home, and know some of the things to look for, but don't claim to be an expert, which I expect is the case for most homeowners. So focusing instead on the experience, I expected it to be smoother than it was for a $20k project. A huge plus: Tony was great to work with. Yet compared to my previous roof replacement, there were items from a process standpoint that I feel could have been better. That's it for the summary, read on for details.

INSURANCE: This piece was truly seamless - TSR did a really nice job facilitating interactions with my insurance company.

INFORMATION: For my prior roof replacement, there was an in-person visit that included various shingle samples, explanations about what a dimensional shingle is, etc. That did not happen here.

PAYMENT: Payment was requested at the very beginning of the process, in mid-November, 2023. Of note, nearly full payment was expected up front. With my previous roof replacement, it was half up front, half upon completion. Payment was also requested via text message, which you should never agree to do.

TIMING: It turned out to be 10+ weeks from payment to when the work actually started; work concluded 2/1/2024. This left me feeling like TSR had gotten an interest-free loan on my behalf. I completely understand that weather plays a factor, especially during winter months, but the original estimated start date was early December, 2023.

INITIATION: Workers arrived around 7:25am on 1/31/24... but without prior notice. While I was pleased, if not relieved, to see the work starting, this caught my wife and I completely off guard - we were just getting out of bed and still in pajamas - and had to get our cars moved before the dumpster blocked our garage.

NOISE: From my first roof replacement, I knew to expect noise - objectively speaking, I measured sound pressure levels consistently nearing 80db in my bedroom. My wife and I both work from home, and wanted to make alternate arrangements during our work hours; unfortunately, due to the surprise start, we didn’t have time to do this.

CLEANUP: Mostly really good, better than I remember from my previous roof. The work was finished after dark on 2/1/2024, so a few nails, old shingles and other items were missed during initial cleanup, but were addressed during the final walk-through the following morning.

CONCLUSION: Hopefully it’s clear that I put a lot of thought into this review. Again, a roof replacement is something that most homeowners shouldn’t have to do often, so I’m hopeful that the details I’ve provided above will help serve as a reference of things to ask about and look for if you are replacing your roof.

The entire process start to finish was a great experience! We had trouble picking out what type and color of shingle we wanted so they helped guide us through that process, their mantra was "no rush take your time, we just want you to be happy with the end result and the work we do."
