Caleb Rivas was exceptionally helpful with the replacing our roof. I really can't say enough. A large purchase like this generally entails a lot of stress, but he was wildly helpful, Informative and understanding. We're happy to have found this group when looking to have have our roof replaced.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Had a contract signed 2 months ago for a roof repair. This place had every excuse for no showing from the project manager quit to tje crew quit and the weather, which I can understand with all of the rain. We called by the scheduler to schedule an appointment and told one you have you spot inline, you won't lose it. We were canceled on 5 times with the majority of the time not getting a call to say they weren't coming. Called one time at 7pm to say they are coming either after their job or the next day. Once again no communication that they were no coming. That was the last straw. Called another company, and already got the work done and at 30% cheaper cost. If need work done in the next six months, go with a different company. This place will just keep blowing you off unless you have a big job.

The entire process starting with the sales team was great, and the price was very reasonable. The entire team was knowledgeable, considerate, helpful and respectful. My roof looks great. I would highly recommend! I know i will definitely get them do do my gutters next.

Big Fish is hands down the best contracting company I have ever worked with. Their energetic team arrived on time and worked tirelessly to replace our roof, molding, gutters, and skylights--and they did it all in only two days. Amazing! And when they were gone, all they left behind was the beautiful restoration. No mess. No debris. In addition, they were friendly, accessible, and knowledgeable through every step of the project. Highly recommended!

We choose to use Big Fish over 3 other companies and it wasn’t for the price. They were actually a little higher than the others. Not much. A few hundred dollars .. But it was the way they followed up with everything. Is the reason why we choose them. After they gave us the bid. They followed up and wanted to know if we understood. The bid and if we had any questions. None of the others did that. Actually never heard from the others after bidding. They Called us and informed of dumpster drop off day and start day. They kept in contact thru the whole job and actually a week later to see how we liked the roof. You just don’t get that kind of caring ,concern and attention to detail. From companies anymore. !!! The crew was awesome. Professional and respectful. It was spotless when they left. Can’t say enough of good things about this company. THANKS BIG FISH

Needed new gutters. Had quotes from four companies. Big Fish wasn't the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. Their quote was detailed, and left me with little doubt they would do a good job. And they did. Good communication throughout, job was done in one morning, very tidy. Gutters work great and look good. Definitely on the short list for future projects.

Showed up to inspect and give me a quote when they said they would. I found the price to be very fair for the work that was done. Every company rep I met with was professional and addressed my concerns. Work was good, the crew was productive, clean up was good. Job was completed the day they said it would be. As a former contractor of almost 20 years, it was nice to meet a company that delivered what was agreed upon and performed the way my crews and me were expected to perform when we worked. None of this stretching the job out for weeks, showing up sporadically, wondering what was going on, then leaving half a$$ed work behind.

Quick and easy consultation, fast response on financing, and installation was speedy and extremely well done. Everything was clean when they left and we even came home to a weeded herb garden and mowed lawn. Definition of above and beyond!

This company is wounderful. A piece of siding came off my house during a rain storm. With more wind and rain predicted for the day, they were there promptly and professionally and fixed up the siding. Thanks so much for your help.

We recently completed a roof and gutter job. We evaluated several proposals and Big Fish stood out in the thoroughness of their quote and job preparation. It was very clear the quality of materials, warranty and installation, which gave us confidence in our selection.

The installation was done in one day with great communication throughout the process. We really liked the status updates that were given by the project manager, including with photos. Clean up was also very good.

Gutter installation was also smooth.

Overall, our roof looks great. For a large project, it was very efficient.

The experience they offered was first class from beginning to end. I booked the appointment with a sales rep and he went over step by step on how things would go with the new roof. On the day of the replacement, the crew went right to work. They were extremely professional and courteous of my neighbor’s property. After they were done, they went over to my neighbor’s yard to make sure all stray debris were picked up. I would definitely use them again. Oh absolutely loved the periodic updates with drone pics as they were doing the work.

Big Fish just replaced our gutters. They were great communicating with me and did a great job. Very easy to work with! I highly recommend them.

Roof replaced in September 2024. February 13, 2025 a leak occurred. Big Fish came out that day and looked. Was raining so couldn't fix same day and weather changed to low temperatures. Big Fish repaired February 25th when weather was suited. Has rained a few times and repair seems to be good.

Big Fish was amazing to work with. We were in a pinch to get our roof redone due to insurance purposes and this company exceeded expectations. They worked well with us, were very professional, and did a great job with the actual project. We were impressed at every step.

I had contacted Big Fish to come out and give me an estimate on some damage that was done to my garage. They came out within 48 hours of me contacting them. I received a PDF version of their estimate with very detailed information (pictures/arrows) on what they were doing and how much it was going to cost. They scheduled me within 2 weeks of paying the project deposit. The crew came out and completed the project, and were able to complete it in one day. Big Fish provided me with a link to receive pictures of what they were doing in real time, again with very detailed information (arrows and descriptions). I highly recommend using Big Fish. They were very communicative, timely, and professional. I will be using them for future projects!

Big Fish Roofing repaired a problem with our sunroom roof. We really appreciate how they jumped in to help with the problem even though it was not their responsibility. Their service demonstrated the phenomenal integrity behind their company. They stepped up where others would not. We will definitely share the company’s name with anyone and everyone of whom we are aware that requires roof work. Additionally, their workers were very respectful and knowledgeable about the work being completed. They shared with us every step they took. We could not be happier.

Big Fish installed gutters, downspouts and leaf relief on my house. I called to obtain an estimate and a representative happened to be in my area and I had an estimate that evening. The installation crew was knowledgeable, and professional. The project was completed with existing materials and trash removed in one day.

Prompt and efficient service. No attempt to up-sell. And the communication was constant, friendly, and accurate as to the time of service and the length of time to complete the work. Above all, the friendliness of all personnel.

Our downspout was blown off during a windstorm. I conducted a Google search and Big Fish was one of the first names I saw. I had recently observed them working on other houses on my street and noted the excellence of the work, so I called them.

The whole process was easy. I met with the project manager to discuss the issue and pick the closest color to that of my existing gutters. At the time he had advised there may be a slight delay to upcoming bad weather. I was contacted twice by the scheduling team about having to reschedule due to weather conditions. They were extremely transparent in the communication and while it wasn’t necessary, apologized for having to reschedule due.

The install team was polite and efficient. I do not believe they were at my home for more than 15 minutes. They installed the downspout and secured it to the house and cleaned up the area.

I have already recommended them to my neighbor who has a gutter project. I would recommend them to anyone!

This review is for my interactions with Big Fish Contracting which, so far, consist of inviting them to inspect and diagnose the following issue, which they did in a professional manner. There were areas of discoloration on my ceiling that seemed to correspond directly to where beams on the attic floor are located above the ceiling. Called several contractors, and each one had a different opinion about the cause, and differing opinions on the solution. Eventually, we called BFC and scheduled a visit. Long story short, after a thorough examination in the attic, they showed me photos and a video of the attic inspection that pointed out several issues that none of the other contractors observed, and that actually seemed to explain the source of the ceiling discoloration. I live in a condo with an HOA and a property management company who are rather difficult to deal with. This is a roofing issue, which, under the HOA maintenance matrix, is their responsibility. I have to submit BFC's report and repair estimate to them before I can proceed further, but so far, I am pleased with BFC's professionalism, their pleasant dispositions, the amount of time they spent here, and the respect with which they treated me.

From scheduling, picking a siding, to instillation, the process was easy and fast. They are organized and communicated with me along the way. They had a lot of colors to choose from and didn’t rush us in choosing. I felt like we were able to pick the perfect color to match our brick and front door. I loved getting pictures along the instillation process as well! They were a recommendation to us and I am glad we went with them!

From the initial visit by the sales representative to the finish of the job, professionalism and integrity were displayed.

Todd from Big Fish responded to a request I posted on NextDoor for a dormer repair on our 120-year-old home. We set up an appointment for an estimate, and Todd was on time. He asked good questions and understood what we needed to have done. During the appointment he sent up a drone camera to inspect the dormer and roof, so I was able to immediately see the problems close-up.

Todd proposed a solution, explained it clearly, and quoted a reasonable estimate. We signed contract, payment was not due until the project was completed.

The job was scheduled for about 3 weeks from the date of the estimate but was pushed back by 5 days. We were notified and rescheduled.

Two workers showed up on time and completed the project in about 4 hours. They provided photos of the before and after of the repair and cleaned up thoroughly after they were done. They were friendly and professional.

We are really pleased with Big Fish, their timeliness (showed up when they said they would), their communication before, during, and after the job, and the professionalism we experienced with everyone involved. We would and will recommend Big Fish Contracting to friends and family.

Big fish was the easiest company I have worked with. They explained everything down to the smallies detail. The live feed pictures gave me all the confidence that the work was done perfectly. Would highly recommend big fish in your next roofing need!

I worked for this company for exactly one week. Got terminated on my 4th day of training because the owner Benny and the Operation manager Chad said I was picking it up as quickly as the wanted me to. When I was terminated neither one was present or even picked up the phone answer why. When I asked couldn’t get a straight answer. Three days of training on a new profession is all they give you. Worst experience in my life and I’ve worked for some pretty awful people. No test or corrective plan about anything. Only went to three houses. I was honestly taking by surprise and I’ve never felt disrespectful and disgusted. He said this but was 2ft from me an never said word, if me smoking onsite was a problem the day before I was onsite. With the operation manager and nothing was ever said once. So miss me. The “personal phone”call was me on the phone with my last company trying to figure out why o didn’t get paid. So again of He has a problem why wasn’t the question asked. Instead of waiting until Tuesday. When this happened Friday. And I worked Monday

Big Fish did a great job helping me accomplish my home renovation project. They took the time to discuss my options and offered me advice on my unique upgrade to align with my budget and what would look best. They worked with me to make several adjustments to the project such as changing a section from siding to shake, and I appreciated their flexibility! They completed a large project in less than a week and I’m very satisfied with the quality of the final product. They were available for any questions I had during the process and it was exciting to have a timeline of photos updating me on the progress!

I was reffereed to Big Fish and read all the great reviews but I am truely blown away with the service and quality that they offer. Communication was amazing from start to end of project and the team was very professional and took great care with the roof installation and clean up to ensure no nails or debris were left behind.

I worked with Todd to get an estimate for a new roof and gutters with guards. Todd was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about his product offerings and what differentiates Big Fish from their competitors.
Appointments for both jobs were setup very quickly after signing the statement of work.
There was communication prior to the job to confirm the appointment. The installation team showed up when they said they would and were highly motivated to begin work. Despite a material and dumpster delays from third parties, the roof was completed in one day.
The gutter job was done efficiently as well. Both jobs required some special work due to the condition of the existing roof and gutters. Both requests were completed satisfactorily.

Had the pleasure of working with Marc on the initial sales and inspection of my main roof and front porch roof. Marc and Big fish provided a detailed estimate and breakdown which was much appreciated. Had old box gutters & metal front porch that needed jumped and replaced. They did a great job and we’re responsive to my questions/requests throughout the whole process. Big fish was quick too as it was one day for them to do the entire roof tear down and installation and one day for all new downspouts and gutter installation. Also Big Fish offered a military discount which was great as well to help save on some costs for my family. Would recommend especially for anyone needing work on some of the older Pittsburgh roofs & front porches like mine.

2025 Update: On top of the great roofing work they did for me a few years ago, Big Fish was also great to work with these past two months as they were able to quickly and effectively repair some ripped off Siding Fascia and also a few missing shingles from my roof. Damage was as a result of the tornado level winds the PIttsburgh area got these past two months. For this smaller fascia & shingle repair & replacement project Chad, Rich, and Justin were great to work with. Communication throughout was great as usual.

Very good job. Looks clean and color goes good with the house. Again quality work and shingles perfectly line up.

2025 update: Sad to have to update this, but I am currently waiting on someone to come for the 4th time to repair leaking in the new roof that was replaced in February 2024.

1st leak October 2024 was due to improper water drainage in the front of the house.

2nd leak back porch 5/27/25 miscommunication within the company caused a man to evaluate my roof like I was a new customer…no actual solution or plan for the repair. He then called me at 9pm the next night to tell me an incorrect appointment time for 6/9/25.

3rd visit for continued leak 6/9/25:
we were told the flashing was not properly sealed during installation. I spoke with the operations manager and requested a full inspection of the roof due to concerns with the quality of the original 2024 install since it was done just last year. We were told everything was good to go.

4th issue 6/13/25. Same leak in the same area. Left a message with the answering service. Now having concerns about the integrity of the back porch work.

This has been very frustrating and the original quality service we were given during our first interactions with the company in 2022 isn’t the same.

2024 update:
I had the entire roof replaced and Big Fish did a fantastic job. The customer service and communication is exceptional. Parker, the project manager always kept me updated on the progress of the job throughout each day. They take a ton of pictures during the project so you know what was done. I am so happy with the results. I love them, but I do hope I don’t need them again anytime soon! Haha

2022:
They replaced the flashing around my chimney and repaired the surrounding wood and shingles on my roof. The communication with the company was outstanding and everyone involved was professional and efficient. They took a ton of photos before, during, and after the job to show us exactly what they did, even with labeling, which was helpful.
The two gentlemen did a great job and were respectful of the property, not damaging any of the surrounding plants and cleaning up the site before leaving.
