i sent in my 2014 Dodge Durango with MULTIPLE problems with braking the car would wobble very bad almost causing you to swerve and wreck, i had several other mechanics in Carlsbad look at it but it never got fixed, Tate Branch in Artesia informed me THE INCORRECT ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS WERE PUT ON MY CAR by another mechanic i had used in the past, my sway arms were damaged so they replaced them, my EVAP sensor kept tripping, AC Compressor had a hole in it, AC blower motor fried, Resistor to blower motor fried, Radiator had a hole in it, and Thermostat needed to be replaced.

The techs looked at my car thoroughly and discovered all this and told me what it would cost, they gave me a REAL timeline of how long it would take to fix everything even though they were slammed with work.

These guys felt bad for the length of time it took to fix the car, even though they were being honest with me the entire time. So they purchased then replaced my special ordered AC compressor (Which i didnt know was broke until they informed me), and drove my car to Carlsbad to drop off at my house FOR FREE!!! KAYLA BROWN, and CRYSTAL (new hires) were VERY RESPECTFUL, very kind, knew what all work had been done, what needed to be done, and knocked off $1000 bucks on the original cost for me. I will only do business with Tate Branch in Artesia from now on.

Bought a Truck because my old one was not safe to drive. They would not let me take the truck saying there was some law they couldn't violate. Instead of having there shop do what it needed to do. They sent it to a third party shop who took there time. Who could blame them. Im not there customer. Now I called my plate isn't in and the temp tag expires on Sunday. I wanted to get a new one on Friday cause I was in the area. I live 80 miles away. I was told they can't print one till that one expires. The level of incompetence at this dealership is almost unbearable. I wish I could take it back. Don't make the same mistake I did. Don't buy here.

We needed a new tire and a front end alignment done on our truck, and are newer to the area- so this was our first experience with Tate Branch. Not only was the work that we requested quoted and performed in an efficient and expected manner, but the staff was truly the most wonderful that I have encountered at a dealership, ever.

I was greeted by Brit, and though I was unfamiliar with the layout of the buildings, she helped me find my location and was extremely kind and patient. She personally ensured I made it to the correct service building.
Then, Richard in service was absolutely incredible to work with. He was communicative, personable, professional, and explained everything well. I had a proper expectation of the work and expense. When a small issue arose with the tire we had anticipated was in stock was not available, they quickly rectified the situation and had the tire overnighted. The accountability and communication was outstanding the whole time, and the service was done promptly the following day. Richard was point man on the entire process and I cannot say enough positive praises about his professionalism and the experience in total.
I interacted with six or seven employees throughout, and everyone was top-notch and friendly. I have never had such a wonderful experience at a dealership. I can say with certainty that we will be using Tate Branch in the future for our service needs, and I am confident that because of this experience also, when we are ready to purchase again, this will be our first stop.

I need to give Tony in the service department a shout out because he kept me informed and called me with updates on where they were with my truck getting fixed so I wasn't sitting in the dark. I live in carlsbad but will definitely be taking the extra drive to have my truck serviced in artesia from here on out.

I needed a brake caliper bolt for my Jeep and I was told that the bolt had been discontinued therefore was not available. Then, I went to a local parts store and found the bolt that I needed. Embarrassing for the "dealership", hooray for the local parts store. Also, I waited approximately 30 minutes just to find out that the Jeep dealership couldn't help me with my Jeep.

First and second hand experience with this store is painful. Tate branch Artesia as well as Tate branch Carlsbad take advantage of honest people in need of vehicles that are in safe operating condition. A UCI (used car inspection) is required by these dealerships to ensure the quality of their products. Unfortunately you cannot trust the managers of these establishments to take your safety into consideration and will actively pick and choose which components are "important" enough to spend the money and take care of the many possible issues taking in used cars could provide. If you value your time, money, and safety. Steer clear of these dealerships.

Brought my vehicle in because it was making a humming sound. They told me it was the alternator. They put in a new alternator, serpentine belt, and 2 new pulleys and the noise was still there. After $2,100 of work, we actually think it’s the power steering pump. So, after spending $2,500 on everything I drive it to work twice and the throttle appears to be malfunctioning and the window won’t roll up. Like other folks I decided to give them one more try and boy am I paying for it. Steer clear of this place if you value your wallet!

If you value your time and money then go ANYWHERE else but here to buy a vehicle. ALSO avoid JOSE B. at all costs. This individual is clueless on how to properly converse with other people and has a bad attitude, especially if you try and talk while he's talking.

We had bought a suburban from Tate Branch our sales lady is Nikki. Not long after we got the suburban I was an accident and totaled the vehicle. I called Nikki and told her she immediately went to hunting for another vehicle right away. She knew what I wanted but unfortunately couldn’t find another suburban that I would want. However she never gave up and we ended up with a ram truck that meets all our needs. Nikki has been beyond wonderful with us. I would recommend her to anyone. I just bought my second truck from Tate and Branch yesterday. They called me at home because they knew I was interested in a certain truck. When I got there the sales manager and the general manager both came to me and told me they were grateful for my patronage, and they would do the best deal they could. The price of the truck had been $93,000 a few days earlier. They reduced the price to $80,000 saving me $13,000 dollars. That's almost what they paid for it. I won't be buying my next truck form anyone else. They're friends and they really care about their customers. In my experience car dealerships don't treat customers as good as Tate and Branch. They treat you like family.

My daughter had to have a engine installed. Her insurance company bought a low mileage used one which is making noise and since engine was replaced it over heats on occasion. Trying to get them to bring it back in to get it fixed right has been nothing but excuses. For a dealership to only have 2 loaners is kinda sad.

I can't express how grateful I am to have God working through some amazing people in my life to make things happen for me that I thought were impossible! Jose Borunda was one such special individual, who pushed his sales team for me to get me done! I can't stress enough how patient he was with me, paid attention to detail (the little things that I requested and mattered to me), getting my offer to his boss, making sure someone was still catering to me when the unexpected happened for him, getting the vehicle to the wash bay for that sleek delivery detail, making sure that the gas tank was filled to the top for when I was to arrive and drive off the lot! This dude even made it so that I was in and out of finance in under 15 minutes!!!

I drove off with the loveliest Challenger I have ever seen! And I cannot express how blessed my family really is to have people like Jose Borunda and his team to make my family and I very happy returning customers!

Special mention goes out to Noe Guzman, who took me on an excellent test drive, and to Ray Fajardo, who although he didn't have to, worked with me on the price to ensure it was well within my budget. This dealer has never done me wrong as a customer and I am happy to have given them my business again! God bless Tate Branch!

Mr. Branch, word of mouth travels fast through Artesia. Not everyone that goes into your dealership is indigent. Not everyone requires calling bank after bank to get approved. Some of "us" worked, saved, sacrificed to afford something better to drive. Then to go to your dealership to get treated like I didn't have a penny to my name!?!? Jose the salesman tried to talk to me like a child, and I don't care who you are, where you work, THAT kind of behavior is childish. THEY ARE CROOKS, TAKE YOUR INCOME TAX REFUND ANY WHERE BUT HERE!!!!

Not sure if my post had gone through so I wanted just reiterate that we had gone to Artesia Tate Branch and had a wonderful experience with Jose berenda and we are going to implement all of the things that he had suggested for us to try for our credit to get better so we can go and get a vehicle from that branch in Artesia tape branch and we're looking forward to 6 months to a year to be there holding one of his signs that he helped us get where we needed to be and he is still you know trying to help us after you know not getting the vehicle but him still caring enough to help us with our credit wonderful people there at Tate but we'll say one of the best Glad to have met you Hope to have you help us in a 6 months to a year we'll be looking forward to it thanks Jose

Last Year I finally made the decision to buy a new (for me) vehicle. Something with Low miles and more dependable. I was greeted by a Gentleman Named Jose Borunda (I think that’s how you spell it) this man helped me with every concern I had.He could tell I was nervous and broke down every step as simple as he could. My credit isn’t great, but that didn’t stop Jose from making what seemed like a hundred phone calls to get me the best deal. He definitely made my experience a memorable one. From time to Jose will send me an email, a text and sometimes call thanking me for my business and letting him help me find the right vehicle for me, as well as giving me reassurance that if there’s anything I ever need don’t hesitate to call him. My personal opinion, Jose is not your typical slimy vulture of a sales man. He really does try.

Had bad experiences in the past but was giving them another chance and was severely mistaken. Jose B. at the dealership was very rude, discourteous, and definitely doesn't need to be dealing with customers. In my opinion talking down to a customer will not take you far in this world furthermore will not be taking my hard earned money for a truck today. New car sales manager on the other hand was professional, sincere, and was a pleasure to speak to.

I called this dealership with a cash offer on an advertised vehicle. They stated that the autotrader listing was 60k off AND their own website was 19k
off correct price. They said they added features? Of course they blamed Autotrader.....not even willing to make it right. What a scam! Buyer beware!

On the 4th of this month I took my van to have it fixed they changed me 3400 bucks to fix what was wrong with it and yet they didn’t fix it they messed it up more and on Friday the 19th when I took my car back to them and told them the ac still wasn’t working correctly and they wanted to charge me again to fix it when they didn’t do it right in the first place, I will not be doing busy with them ever again and now I have to pay someone else to fix there mistakes I’m very disappointed in the way they handled it when I called and told them the brushed it off as if nothing was wrong and I didn’t know what I was talking about

Arturo addressed my concerns, and frustration of how my experience was dealing with their service department. Arturo made the situation right. Now just waiting for parts to come in.

Update: 9/18/2023
I was having trouble with my uconnect system and took it to a local dealer (I'm about 178 miles away from Artesia). I needed the initial service and was having a problem with my uconnect system. I asked the local dealer to perform a hard reset on my uconnect, but was told that would require another appointment and about 4 days for them to perform diagnostics. I called Tate and within 30 minutes got a call back explaining how to perform the hard reset. It fixed the problem! After this experience there is no way I would let the local dealer (Viva) ever work on my car.
From sales to service I've been very pleased with Tate.

Took my vehicle in for a recall last Monday. When I got vehicle back my back wipers were not working properly.when they are supposed to be off they are on an when on the are off, the go really slow and get stuck.I called them today to let them know, I was asked to take vehicle in. I was told I have a bad battery and the connection had a short. I told Nate Before vehicle was taken here nothing was wrong with it everything worked perfect. Get me my vehicle. He pull’s very around and tells me I should leave on for like 15 mins cause he had to jump start.
Waiting for my vehicle I could hear Nate and other service rep talking about me being alone and what they are goin to charge me for, diagnosed and 50$ for some other things when they are the ones who messed up.

I let the know this is not the first time the broke a vehicle of mine and know I shouldn’t have taken it here.
