Tall Grass Windows and Doors

I thing i would change is another five stars to give them!!

I found this company while grasping at straws...

It was Saturday at 2pm and I was in desperate need of a door sill pan. I called the number listed on the website. Bill, one of the owners answer. I shared my need with him and he said, "we have several and my partner, who lives in lawrence can bring you one tomorrow. He gave me John's number. I called him, not only was he available, but informed me he had one in his truck. He said he could drop it off. John PERSONALLY DELIVERED it 45 minutes later!! Not only did he take time out off his day, it was his day off. I took further advantage of his generosity, I asked him how he would approach my door problem we walked over to my project and shared his approach to the situation.

To top everything off, he personally delivered my door "jamsill guard" and gave expert advice. When i asked him how much did i owe him. He said "just get with me next week."

This the first time I meet him, knew anything about him or his company. He is the definition of customer service.

He showed me empathy and kindness when i was stuck and in desperate need. If each of us went through life with just a little more empathy toward our neighbors, like John showed a complete stranger. Life would be a little bit brighter.

We live in the Kansas City area and are building in Colorado. We wanted to get information and select windows and doors at a Kolbe showroom, which our contractor had recommended. When we contacted showrooms listed on the Kolbe site as in our area, they told us they are open to contractors only. I wrote to Kolbe about our problem and was sent the contact for Tallgrass Windows and Doors in Lawrence. We spoke to John Harman. John was a wealth of information. He took time to explain about quality, construction, everything we needed, despite the fact that we were building in Colorado and this order would not be his. The showroom had products we needed to make a decision. Kolbe should list Tallgrass as the showroom for the Kansas City area It is the closest where you can actually see and touch the windows and doors that you will be using in your newly built home. If I hadn't emailed Kolbe directly, we would not have found Tallgrass in Lawrence. Prior to our visit, we had decided to order with Marvin instead since we did not want to use windows and doors that we had never seen, but changed our minds after meeting with John. We are ordering Kolbe now, thanks to John Harman.
