We have moved to a new home by DRB in Silver Woods and wanted to build a deck or patio and fence the yard.
We hired Cody to do this job. He was extremely professional and asked us for the home site because he told us that regardless of our HOA approval, we will be needing an approval from the town of Ocean View. The sales representative for the builder assured us that we can put pavers, do a patio and even a deck. Cody , by looking at the plot with a magnifying glass (seriously), said that may not be possible.
He went to town hall and spoke to zoning officials and went back again, just to let us know that we would not be able to build or put pavers. We are trying to find a solution to this problem and we are so glad we have Cody. He is trustworthy
and smart, solution oriented and, above all, his ethics are
commendable. He is definitely our first choice to work with on any project.

I recently had a 16x14 screened in porch added to the back of my home as well as a 4x4 outdoor shower designed and built by Cody. From start to finish, his attention to detail, quality of work and communication were outstanding. He uses top-notch materials while respecting your budget. He takes time to answer all of your questions. Cody is very easy to work with and cares so much about his work and your expectations.
The finished project looks fabulous and adds so much beauty to my home! It is such a joy to spend time with my family and friends outside in this beautiful addition!

Cody has done a few projects for us including installing a beautiful backsplash in our kitchen, troubleshoot and correct a hot room on our second floor (his suggestion saved us easily over $1,000 and worked great), and dry wall repairs after some HVAC work. We keep going back to him because his personal standard for finishes is very high, his communication is great and he always makes the process very easy. Highly recommend

Cody did the framing for my 1100 sq ft basement finishing job. He was knowledgeable and thorough in his work. This was November of 2024. Our basement is now done and Cody’s work provided a strong foundation for a new rec room and craft room. He is a stand up guy you can trust.

We had seen the work that Cody, the owner of Sussex Construction, had done for some of our neighbors, so we were excited to have him help us out to make our home more beautiful. We could not have hoped for a better result:

He showed up on time, he’s a local who grew up doing construction with his family on Delmarva, he is straightforward in his pricing, and absolutely reliable in what he said he would do. He communicated every step of the way so that we knew exactly where we were going and what was happening. But the most important thing for us is the spectacular results of his work. Everything is finished perfectly, every corner, every drawer, every hinge, every piece of trim is exactly where it should be and works perfectly. If he had built our home from the ground up, it would be a much better place for us to live in!

We have a couple of technically difficult jobs still ahead that we are going to have Cody do; in both cases they are to fix what the previous workers did poorly.
