Used Riptide when my hot water tank sprung a leak a little while back. Coner did an excellent job with the mitigation portion of the project giving me a thorough rundown of what his crew was gonna be doing, answering all my calls and text being that I was 4 hours away and couldn't be there. Conor truly saved us this morning! We had been away from our home for a week and walked in late last night to a flood. We quickly scrambled to find a restoration company and found someone to come out early this morning who was not able to repair the damage and take care of it adequately. Then we found Conor and he came right out this afternoon and did exactly what was needed to remove the wet areas, contain the space and put things in place to dry everything out over the weekend. It was important to me that no harsh chemicals be used in the cleaning process, and he used exactly the agent that I would have hoped for and I recommend to my patients. When going through difficulties such as a fire that destroys not only your home but part of your life as well, I thank God for Rip Tide. Al, our project manager was the BEST! The knowledge showed during this process was phenomenal! Al always had our best interest at heart. When the budget got tight he helped me find quality substitutes or explained how much out of pocket I would be getting into. Riptide Restoration is the first phone call I make whenever I come across issues at my Sussex County rental condos that might be signs of a much bigger issue. After several consults for water damage related concerns, I strongly recommend Riptide to give you a thorough and honest answer as to the potential sources of the problem, and your options for addressing it. Not many people know “what’s behind the walls, or under the floorboards” of their home, including me, and can be taken advantage of by firms blinded by steering towards the dollar signs….Riptide walked alongside me during their inspections and analyses, focused on uncovering the problem, and presented solutions that were in line with my best interest. “Get Ripped not Gypped” would be an appropriate marketing campaign, and I’d buy the t-shirt.

Riptide did a great job restoring an apartment that had been thoroughly trashed by a long term renter. Walls, ceilings, cabinets, flooring, fixtures, windows. They did it all and it is great work. Josh was so accommodating and easy to work with.

I had a massive water issue in my home spanning two floors and originally had another company mitigate the water damage. Rip Tide completed the restoration of my kitchen and basement; truthfully, I wish I called Rip Tide for the overall scope of work because they went back and fixed some items of water mitigation that the previous company missed. They also worked with my insurance company and HOA, which took a significant burden off of me in terms of communicating with all parties. I appreciated the quality of work and diligence of the entire staff when I asked for certain specifications or gave feedback. I cannot recommend them enough.

Big shout out to Mick for helping assess the damages to my elderly mother's house after it had caught fire. I called and within 30 minutes Mick was there. As he arrived, my mother was having a melt down because storms are coming and she did not want more damages to her home due to the rain. With a calming and comforting voice, Mick assured my mother that his crew would be there TODAY to make sure her house was properly protected and secure.

We can't thank Rip Tide enough for being so prompt, professional and kind. They are local, hardworking and do not wait for the insurance companies to hatch out who is paying for what before they send someone out to check out the damages (a car was totaled in the fire, as well - so both insurances were pointing fingers on who should do what). They show up, are compassionate, and have their evaluations done before the insurance company even calls you back. 10/10 recommend Rip Tide.

Rip Tide Restoration quickly and efficiently handled not one but two water damage issues in our townhouse. They handled the remediation with almost no effort on my part. The restoration was also handled very professionally and the house looks brand new. Their entire staff was courteous and diligent with all of our requests and the general contractors were great to work with. Would highly recommend.

I requested an estimate for mold in my bathroom. They came out, measured and took pictures. I was told it was a free estimate. After 3 phone calls, in 2 weeks and although I was told I would have the estimate 2 days ago I'm now told that I need to pay $250 to get the estimate. Last time checked that is not good customer service. I'm looking for a different company.

As President of a COA when one of our unit ownerws had damage they came very quickly.They took charge and did the work immediately and provided several follow up visits to make sure the customer was statisfied. THey came higly recommended by our property management company.

After finding sewage in our basement, it was nice to get a call from Mick ten minutes after I left a message (on a weekend)! Mick took care of everything! Riptide was on time, very professional, and helped us get through a rather difficult time. Mick explained everything to us, including pricing and procedures. They called ahead to let us know when to expect their arrival - and again, always very prompt. A business isn’t successful only because of the product they sell, but also because of their customer service! Riptide - especially Mick, has fantastic customer service! We have used Rip Tide Restoration several times for mitigation and remediation of leaks/mold which caused damage (sometimes extensive) to our Condominium bldg's upper level floors and those below. They hold all the necessary licenses, insurance and documentation we require. Rip Tide was easy to reach, came prepared with the proper equipment/crew and followed up with all the paperwork required for insurance claims and to budget for the repairs. As the Condo Association VP, I have had to engage them several times and they have become our default restoration company. Many of our owners have also engaged them for repairs to their condo interiors and to deal with their homeowners insurance companies. I found them professional, easy to contact, easy to communicate with and they have very reasonable pricing. While no one wants to have to call a restoration company, leave it to the experts at Rip Tide to make it less stressful.

Rip Tide Restoration, Joe Wallace, Owner came to my rescue last week when a contractor we hired abandoned the job 5 days into the construction phase, leaving us a total mess/disaster of a house, filled with construction debris and a total botched up job... TRUST ME!!! look no further when looking for a competent, reliable, honest contractor in and around Sussex County, De., this company, RIP TIDE RESTORATION CAN AND WILL DO IT ALL!!! From fire, water, mold remediation to any type of construction, remodeling, drywall, etc. RIP TIDE RESTORATION is a one stop shop. The crew is skilled in all the trades and Joe Wallace only hires a crew that is on staff exclusively working for RIP TIDE RESTORATION. No subcontracting...The crew, Chris, Orlando and Carlos were incredible.

The clean up occurred immediately because Rip Tide Restoration is fully equipped for anything. From disaster relief in your home to any kind of construction, they have the equipment to abate any problem, as well as build whatever it is that you need or want. They immediately brought in three air scrubbers with new filters to draw the drywall dust in the air, while cleaning the air, improving the air quality. No construction company will have this type of equipment and when drywall work is performed it gets into everything...leaving behind a mess. The crew removed all of the construction debris and began setting up a barrier to contain the area in question so they could begin correcting the drywall job. The area in question was completely contained and encapsulated. The two man crew wore special head gear for breathing and worked for 6 hours straight repairing this rather large area of newly framed drywall. Correcting shoddy drywall work is very difficult but this crew did an incredible job! They repaired the drywall and made it look as if the builder originally designed it that way. The design intended to convert this space immediately transformed into a beautiful, perfect coffee/bar area with gorgeous backsplash tile, a butcher block counter, two base cabinets and built-in floating shelves, creating a perfect space/built-in for any use. All of their work was meticulous, well thought out and perfectly executed, without aggravation, or attitude on the part of the contractor. The crew was incredibly respectful toward me and followed the design completely. They worked continuously as they started the job each day early and stayed late to finish as much as possible for the day. Each night they would clean up and leave me with a clean house not having to step on drywall and construction debris. Every morning they arrived very early prepping the area in question and protecting my floors and home.

They did such an incredible job I asked them to build me a custom butlers pantry with a lot of shelving and counter space. I provided the design and pictures and they took only two days to get this done and it was accomplished perfectly to my specification and design. Chris and Orlando truly know carpentry and building spaces in the home and they had some great suggestions as well, but always asked me first as to exactly what I wanted..

I cannot thank Joe Wallace and his crew enough for coming to my rescue last week in Ocean View, De. We intend to make it our primary place of residence. These construction changes will make our home more efficient as we plan to down size. Finding a reliable competent company in and around the Sussex county area is impossible.
