Sure Point Exteriors

Communications was a major problem on the installation. None of the installation crew was proficient in English. They put flashing on the sides and bottom of some double hung windows, and the screens would not fit with out pounding them in with a hammer. Had them come out and refit the trim piece around an outdoor faucet, and they screwed it up having to get a new one. I had them come out and redo the upper double hung windows so the screens would fit. They did do a good job hanging the siding and were very good at that part of the job. Some of the details they did on the installation showed very good craftsmanship.

I was super happy with Dalton and Surepoint. He helped me with an updated design for the siding. The crew was prompt, worked all day and cleaned up after each day. Dalton is super responsive and answered my questions promptly. Their prices were better than other quotes I got without sacrificing quality! They also replaced installed a sliding glass door and windows and I’m extremely happy with the quality of those as well.

Had Dalton out to look at replacing our siding last year, I could tell right away that he is a great guy that really cares about doing good work. He had ideas on how to improve the look of our house, he answered every question I had, and was responsive any time I called. His team was polite, cleaned up the yard perfectly every day, got the job done extremely fast, and our house turned out amazing. I had him out a few weeks ago to replace all of our windows and it was once again a great experience.

I can’t say enough good things about Sure Point Exteriors! Dalton and his crew were awesome! The price was very reasonable, the communication was great, we knew every day what was going on with our project. The guys always showed up on time and they worked hard! I worked with Dalton at Surepoint to replace our siding due to hail damage and wood rot. He came out and spent a lot of time discussing what we were looking to do, we walked the entire exterior and he even helped point out spots to take pictures of to show our insurance, spots I didn't even notice. He thoroughly explained their options and pricing and provided me a book of information to review once he left and then worked with me on budget once we decided to go with Surepoint (who was the best price for the Hardie siding by far). We went with James Hardie Cement lap siding in Arctic White (trim and siding). I am SO IMPRESSED with the quality of work and quality of product. Rodrigo was our project manager and he was very communicative and was at the job site every day. The installation took 5 total days (minus gutter re-install) and is very thorough and well done. They took the time to caulk all the proper spots, removed any old cables/cable boxes that weren't being used anymore, installed a new porch light for me and even repainted the utility boxes on the back of house, from the old mint green to the new white, to match. There were a couple minor issues (some torn up landscaping and grass due to the ground being wet) but I relayed to Rodrigo, who relayed to Dalton right away and Dalton immediately came over with a plan to rectify. Not only that, I had some issues with the payout from my insurance company (it took 2 months!) and Dalton was patient and understanding the entire time. No pressure, no negativity - he let me know he understood insurance can be problematic and he will wait until we get it. I HIGHLY recommend Surepoint for any of your exterior needs, you are getting a quality product, quality installation, a good price and high integrity. They will be my go to exterior company from now on.

Dalton, Rod, and the entire crew have done an amazing job tearing off the old siding, fixing issues, and completely residing with James Hardy shingles on the front and lap siding on the back and sides. Dalton’s professionalism was immediately apparent when we met with him and he was the only contractor to not only provide us with a detailed bid, but he provided all the necessary certificates of insurance. The crew set to work immediately even in the coldest of weather. Any questions were immediately answered. Excellent company with an excellent product… couldn’t be happier!

Of the 6 different contractors that have worked on my house in 3 years, Sure Point was the best of all. They were professional, communicated often with us, had a great foreman on site daily, and did absolute top-notch quality work - above and beyond what I expected. The siding on my house looks wonderful and we have had many compliments. They took care of every detail, and I will call them again when we are ready for new windows!

We had nothing but good experiences with Surepoint! From the beginning communication with Dalton was easy, the bid was reasonable and work was completed quickly and efficiently. The crew showed up early, stayed long hours, tidied up the yard when they left for the night and answered questions and requests. Having the new siding on for a while we've also appreciated the improved insulation, we hardly hear the rain for example. Only good things to say about this company and having had not so pleasant remodeling experiences in the past, was truly overjoyed on this project.

I put off a lot of maintenance on the house and there was wood rot in a few places, a 15 year old paint job and 50 year old windows. Needless to say there was a lot of work that had to be done. I got bids for thomas hardy siding so I would have minimal maintenance going forward. The Sure Point quote was thorough and the price was very competitive so we decided to move forward with new siding, windows and gutters (all exterior but the roof).

The crew, including a site manager, did a great job. They did quality work, kept everything tidy (even in the middle of the day), and were professional and respectful in their work and interactions. I have had no second doubts that I made the right choice in redoing the exterior/windows and that Sure Point was the right choice for this work.

A special shout out to Dalton, the owner, who met with us, explained the process, delivered a detailed quote, was patient while we worked out finances, worked with us on the schedule, addressed lead paint on the house in a safe and regulated/official way, stayed in daily contact throughout the project, addressed all our concerns with action or explanation, and finally walked through the project with us when it was done to ensure we were happy with everything.

We highly recommend Dalton and his team. We completed our project in Aug-Sep 2024. Our goal was to modernize our exterior, not just with paint and siding, but other details to give our 1980’s home a real facelift. It was a complete renovation of our exterior, all new siding (Hardy), paint, stone and cedar accents. Dalton was very helpful during our walk through to decide what was manageable. The project was efficiently completed - the team showed up on time every day and worked full days decreasing the time it took to finish the project. Dalton oversaw the project daily and stopped by to review progress and discuss any questions we had during the process. He was also available and very timely in responding to any questions I had - whether phone calls or texts. They were tidy and cleaned up each day with our project being finished in just over 2 weeks. I was very impressed with Dalton and his team. They were easy to communicate with throughout the whole process and extremely detailed on the scope of work to make sure nothing was missed. His crew that tore down the old siding and put up the new was quick, efficient, and left no mess behind. The house looks a thousand times better with the Hardie board on it.

After having 3 different companies come out for estimates on our siding, we went with Sure Point. We were already impressed because their estimate was six pages long with a very detailed description and pictures of what would be happening versus other companies who hand wrote one final price on a piece of paper in their car after a quick walk around.

Dalton walked around the house with us and explained what he would be doing on each side and pointed out things that they would do that we never even thought of.

His crew was present every single day, and always on time to start which was a huge plus. They cleaned up after themselves every single day and moved equipment out of the way of our kids and pets.

Any questions we had were answered, phone calls were returned, emails were replied to, text messages were answered. You don't get that sort of communication with all your contractors.

A lot of our neighbors and friends have commented how long great the siding, trim, and gutters look and we completely agree. They did great work! Dalton and his team do exceptionally fine work. I have done a lot of business with contractors over the years, and my experience with Sure Point Exteriors far exceeds all the rest. Dalton is extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and takes the time to explain every step of the process. I was very happy with the work that Surepoint did on my home. I had the siding replaced in the back of the house where there was woodpecker damage using James Hardy siding, had the back windows replaced and then a new deck. Dalton and the crew are absolute all stars. My home was largely destroyed in the July 2023 storm so I had a lot of different contractors for the interior and the exterior of my home. The decision to use Hardie Board for your home is to make an investment in your property. Many companies are available to hire in the Kansas City area. The product will be consistent with any of these companies. I felt the company I chose was the most important part of my decision. I did find the bids varied with their price range and the details of what the scale of work would be completed with the different companies. I worked with Dalton Silvia, the owner of the company. Sure Point. He provided and detailed bid of the scale of work. For any concerns or questions I had, Dalton added the information to the contract. He responded immediately and politely.
The crew that completed the work on our home was perhaps the best part of the entire process. They arrived early and worked quietly and neatly each day. I had to do nothing to prepare for the project. They removed all exterior decorations and furniture and returned it to the exact locations. They left our property clean and picked up each evening. Our house looks amazing. My husband and I are pleased with the decision to use Sure Point. Months after we completed the project, my husband needed information for our taxes. Dalton responded and worked with my husband to answer his questions about a tax credit. .

One of the BEST decisions I have ever made was that I chose Sure Point Exteriors for my siding project. Dalton is the owner and led me through the selection and installation process step by step (and more than just once). From our initial meeting, he was fair and honest and I felt so comfortable putting all my trust in him and his company.
Sure Point replaced all my windows, siding/trim, stone around the garage and painted all the soffits/fascia, gutters and doors. There were no hidden add-on's or surprises and did not charge me outside of the quote. It was a complete transformation and they literally delivered a brand-new house to me when they were done. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out and I smile every time I pull into the driveway and see my house.

Dalton and his crews are simply the best contractors I have ever had the pleasure working with. They installed new siding and gutters on our home in Roeland Park in 2019. Their communication, timeliness, and quality were all impeccable. Fast forward to 2023, they installed new siding on my mother's home and we couldn't be happier with the results.

I got bids from six different companies to replace four windows and to put James Hardie siding on my house. SurePoint Exteriors was right in the middle pricewise, which I consider to be a good thing. The owner, Dalton, gave me the estimate himself. He arrived exactly when he said he would. He was very polite and well-mannered, he even removed his shoes before he came into the house. He was super knowledgeable about doing exterior work in general and the Hardie product in particular. He answered all of my questions patiently and expertly. SurePoint had the highest number and best overall reviews of the companies that I looked at. Once I hired them, Dalton was able to fit me into his schedule in just a couple of months which was perfect for us. He even juggled some work to accommodate our door replacement (by another contractor) which was delayed. His crew showed up on time every day that they were here. They were all very hard-working, friendly and polite. I spent a lot of time walking around the house watching them work and I found them to be professional at all times. I could tell they consider themselves to be craftsmen and not just laborers. It was very apparent that they wanted to get every detail of the job just right and to make sure that I was happy with the result. Well, I couldn’t be happier. The house looks fantastic! It’s a joy to look at it when we come home and I can’t even tell you the piece of mind that I get knowing that the JH siding will probably last over 25 years with basically no maintenance. I also know that I can call Dalton up anytime if anything does come up. If you are considering redoing the exterior of your house, I definitely think that James Hardie is the way to go. It’s a little more expensive than most of the other alternatives but it's a quality product. I also don’t think you are going to find a better installer than SurePoint Exteriors. I highly recommend them!

I received 7 bids for James Hardie siding to put on my house and, although I would have felt comfortable with at least 3 of them, I just found myself thinking how could I NOT go with Dalton and Sure Point. When you have a number of contractors selling you the same solution, it comes down to other factors like quality, ease of doing business with and being competitively priced and Sure Point was top notch in all categories. In almost every aspect of doing a home project, the only way you get something done right is if you do it yourself but Sure Point makes you feel like they are the ones who own the house based on how professional they are with the quality of work that they do and willingness to do every aspect of the job “the right way.” Just can’t say enough about them, they are truly first class in what they do!

Bottom Line Up Front:
Dalton and his team at Sure Point Exteriors delivered a great product at an affordable cost. We would recommend this company to any family or friends looking to upgrade their home exterior.

Pre-Project:
1. Precision Exteriors were the only company (out of 4) that looked for and found the asbestos siding that was under the old vinyl.
2. Was able to recommend a great company to remove the asbestos. This company did fantastic work and was considerably cheaper than all other removal estimates.
3. They also found the deck ledger board and a rim joist that needed replacement. Again, they were the only company that found the wood rot.
4. Estimate came under all others, and this included fiber glass windows that the others did not offer.

Project:
1. Work was completed on pace with the estimated timeframe.
2. Any further issues found during the siding or window installation were communicated effectively. Issues were fixed at a very affordable cost.
3. During the installation process, a storm came through during the evening. Water began leaking from the inside of the new window into the kitchen. Contractors came back to the site in the dark and rain and fixed the problem. We were not charged for this, even though the problem was due to a flashing issue from the roof to the gutter and not a window issue.
4. Clean-up was thorough at the end of each day.

Post Project:
1. Dalton did was walk through of the house at the conclusion of the work. He would point out any details that were not too standard and his team would fix them.
2. We had doors installed and after six months they would not latch. This was due to the temperatures causing the house to expand and contract. We called Dalton and he had an employee come on-site and fix the doors at no additional cost.

We got Hardy siding and new windows from SurePoint. Owner is very responsive and nice and have nothing but positive things to say about whole company. Worked quick and efficiently and cleaned up when they were done. All the guys were laughing with each other and really were a quality team.

Sure Point did a great job replacing all of our exterior siding. Dalton gave us a rendering as part of the bid, and it looked good. The finished house looks even better. I made a few small changes while the work was underway, and the whole crew was very easy to work with.

From what little experience I have, I can say Dalton is the best in his field by a long shot. He will listen to exactly what you want. He won't treat you like a number. He answers emails same day a majority of the time. His prices are really good. His crew is awesome as well. I work from home, and they left me alone when they didn't need me, but they also weren't afraid to ask me things if they did need something.

So the next thing to address is the quality of the work, because it doesn't matter how nice/attentive someone is if they are complete garbage at their job. Well, I don't know if this could have been done by a better team. Sure, it's loud, but this ain't quiet time at the library, this is getting the outside of your house completely torn down and redone.. and they did an absolutely insane job. Every piece of weather barrier, fiber cement siding, trim, and guttering was cut to precision. The foundation/garage door paint job is perfect. They cleaned up everything very well at the end.

If you choose someone else, I wish you luck. Maybe they'll be good, maybe they won't. It's not really worth the gamble, though. May as well go with the safe bet with a guaranteed payout.

I had Sure Ppint reside our home. Not only were they competitively priced, but the owner was extremely easy to work with and responsive whenever I had a question. This was the first time I've ever done this, so I was probably badgering him with insane questions - it didn't matter. Dalton always had a non-condescending response with a professional demeanor. (You may like to think this is standard business practice for everyone, but as a younger looking woman, let me tell you: you may be surprised!)

The workers themselves are obviously hard working and respectful. I tried to hermit myself away inside as to not get in their way at all, but even when I took my dogs outside I could tell they picked up after themselves and were dedicated to their jobs. They cleaned up any remnants from our old wood siding and I haven't found any stray nails that could cause a hazard to my dogs or anyone else on my property. I appreciate this attention to detail!

Tl;dr: I felt comfortable with this company that any concerns were addressed with the owner and the employees are hard workers who made my house beautiful! I've seen the crew in multiple places in my neighborhood since my house was completed, so I'm glad my neighbors also found such a good company to help them as well.

Dalton's pricing was by far the best and the price he quoted is what I paid in the end. His crew was able to easily replace our siding, gutters/gutter guards, and exterior paint. They were even able to work in the winter around the snow after we found water damage on the side of our house.

Great company who came when they said they would, provided the service they said they would and gave us exactly what we asked for. I highly recommend Sure Point Exteriors! My project could not have gone better from the first visit to completion and I am really happy with the new siding and gutters. The crew had to fix a few unexpected problems along the way and this was handled quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up each evening and were careful about closing my gate to keep the dogs contained. They even stopped to help my neighbor with her trash cans when working on the side of my house. The craftsmanship and care is evident in the outcome and my house looks great! You have choices in Kansas City but I'd use Sure Point again with zero hesitation.

Surepoint exteriors installed new siding, gutters, vents, and new lighting for us. Dalton and his crew are very professional and courteous. The workmanship of Sure Point is superior quality. Before the team leave for the day, they will make sure that your yard is clean and no debris. First I was worried about this whole house siding project but after seeing the Sure Point warranty vs the other provider written warranty and plus Dalton explanation in layman term way like the way I understand it, so I choose Sure Point. It’s great to talk to someone that knows what they’re doing. First I was worried because this was a big investment/expense but it's actually a worry free project if they’re done by Sure Point.
