Brett Tapley with supreme northwest construction stole 4K from me. I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and Washington labor and industries. This business refuses to acknowledge either organization. I will be placing a lawsuit against the contractors bond and will also need to file a lawsuit with Kitsap county small claims court. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company or individual. He will steal your money. STAY AWAY

Supreme Northwest Construction. LLC owner Brett Tappley agreed to a roof repair project in March 2023. He said a 50% deposit was needed to secure my project on his calendar and would be used toward materials. He then cashed the check on 08 March 2023. No materials have been purchased and job has not been started. Brett nor anyone at the company will return my calls or emails. They will not return my deposit now that I want to cancel the job they have haven’t started. I will now need to hire a lawyer and file a claim against this company’s bond company. A waste of time and money because of this dishonest company. Please stay away from this company.

Edit: now attempting to reclaim my stolen money via small claims court. Have pending legal action against Brett Tapley.

Please do not do business with this man or this company. Your money will be stolen

I just paid for a roof inspection.
There’s a lot of torch down with big air pockets, torch down is directly applied to plywood instead of protected nailer strip, the whole ridge looks like it is 10+ years old, mismatched metal on the edges, too much overhang at edges. Overall, it’s a hack job.
Brett mismanaged the timing for his guys to install scupper. They showed up early and decided to install something that looks ridiculous and left a mess on my new porch (no protection).
Air compressor leaks oil on my new sidewalk.

———————————————————————

A little follow up to Brett’s response:

Metal still doesn’t match (poor quality control).
Valley’s we’re not cut back and will cause leaking.
Ridge vent material is to be folded in and finished correctly to stop insect invasion.
I have text messages from Brett proving that his whole story is just a story.
Supreme Northwest Construction wouldn’t know quality or pride in craftsmanship. They tried to sell my employee siding from a big job he had just finished and had extra material (that the client paid for).
3 visits and my roof still leaks at the cricket they built.

When we needed a handicap ramp built unexpectedly Brett the owner contacted me the same day. Brett and his crew came out the next day to measure and build the next day. We are extremely satisfied and highly recommend for any exterior needs.

I called Brett from Supreme Northwest Roofing late on a rainy day after discovering a branch punctured my garage roof. Brett came over within 30 minutes to check out my roof and give me a quote. He made sure to make temp repair and final repairs were completed within 2 days. Great response and professionalism from Brett. Any of my future roof install or repairs will be directed to Supreme Northwest Roofing. Thanks Brett!!

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
