Despite this setback, our barn has now been completed, and the postponement was unrelated to the builder. Logan, our project manager, was truly exceptional throughout the process. I had Superior Building reroof my pole barn with a metal roof and they did a superior job! The 2 gentlemen that came to do the job and did it all in one day and worked together really well. They had to remove the existing roofing and all of the perlings. I highly recommend this company!

Update 6/2025 - We’ve made some more progress on the house transformation. The Superior Buildings garage continues to be a show stopper for family, friends and visitors to our neighborhood. The garage is definitely a conversation starter. I’ll update as soon as we get the electricity installed, along with down lights on the gable side and lights next to the bay doors. We continue to think this is the best decision we made when updating our house!

Superior Buildings built us an amazing 30’x50’ garage! We couldn’t have been happier with how this garage turned out. From design, contracting to the construction, the Superior team was communicative via phone, email and text. The County approval process took a bit of time - about 7 months - and Superior was very understanding & helpful. Once we were able to get the project started, the construction team went above & beyond (shout out to Avery and Matt)!! We cannot wait until the addition (which we’re building ourselves) is complete, as it will attach the new garage to the house (a requirement per the County we live in). The entire house will be painted to match the new garage color scheme. We’ll be contacting Superior again when we decide to build a larger garage on another piece of land we have, down the road. Very happy with the team at Superior Buildings! They constructed a 30 x 30 garage on my property and it turned out great. My project was a little more difficult to get started than some (easements, county approvals, site work and a few other complications) and I had over 6 months of hoops to jump through between my first email to Superior and when they could finally break ground, but they hung in there through all the uncertainty and made it happen. Josh, my sales rep was awesome and was always available when I needed advice or a sanity check. His years of experience were obvious from our first meeting and were extremely valuable throughout the project. Once the project started, things moved quickly and they were done much sooner than I expected. The construction crew was very courteous and would always ask me about parking situations and placement of materials and equipment in my yard, and did their best to minimize disrupting more than was necessary. When the project wrapped up, my sales rep reached out to me multiple times to make sure any minor details were covered before we called everything a done deal. I'm sure that I'm leaving out some other high points, but Ill wrap it up with the fact that everyone at Superior Buildings is very professional, they take pride in their work and produce a great product. Great experience overall. From quoting to finish product I could not be happier. They worked with me on several revisions, delays with the county, and were always very pleasant to deal with. I would definitely work with them again.

As we began our search for someone to build a building we found that Superior Buildings were the best fit for our needs. Our sales/contact was Shawn Zimmerman and he was with us every step of they way as there are many decisions to be made. We were on site to watch the construction crew when they started and they were amazing. The building more than met our expectations and we feel there is no one in the area that will do a better job.

We moved to Virginia in November 2022. Our new home did not have a garage so we began looking for a contractor to build one. We could not find anyone who would return our calls or give us a quote. We worked with Logan to have our building constructed. We felt very comfortable with him and confident with his knowledge of the whole process. From Start to finish, Superior did an excellent job on my new garage. Since I am a bit far from them, I let the crew stay in my home. It was nice to get to know them. Also, their concrete guy is the best. Perfect job on the floor. These guys care and it shows. Very easy to work with in the design phase as well as a few last minute change orders.

We were assigned a personal representative who drove the process from design, estimation, color selection, site preparation, build, concrete, electric and plumbing installation to final landscaping. The building team was spot on in meeting all specifications with high quality. The team was very accommodating as we honed in on our final design, supported by a very good change management process. After building a 3-bay tractor/equipment shed, we were pleased to contract with them again on a 2-story barn/garage/workshop. Superior created the mill shop of our dreams. We needed a place to house and operate our WoodMizer LT-35HD sawmill and a place to store and process the lumber we get from our hobby milling operation. Additionally we needed a place to store our John Deere 3 Series compact tractor and John Deere 35G Mini Excavator out of the rain. Josh worked with us on creating the perfect design for our needs and available building site. Superior constructed a high quality building on time and on budget as promised.

Having Superior build our barn was a win-win for my husband and me -- for me because now I have a lot more storage room, for my husband because now he has plenty of room for a nice workshop with enough room leftover for the tractor when it wants to be inside. A win for both of us because there are 2 stalls for cute goats and donkeys when they want to be inside. Superior Buildings truly live up to their name! P.S. The construction crew was so wonderful; I didn't want to say good-bye.

Building through COVID was far from the best time, but personnel were very upfront with us on time frame and problems with getting certain materials. They told us they would be here on a certain day and time frame and they were! The nicest gentlemen that I have ever worked with! I highly recommend having a building built by Superior Buildings!!!

i bought a 24 by 32 building with a loft .superior is the best from the owner nate to eric the salesman and matt the site supervisor. the building was nothing less than perfect. i would recommend them to anyone. i am very pleased and was happy to work with all of them.

Superior built two 20x20 run-in sheds for our horses. Eric, the sales rep, was great to work with. The crew had the whole job finished in 2 days. I plan to call on them again when we are ready for some bigger projects.

Great people to work with from the delivery man to the builders! I could not believe the quality of the materials, no corners were cut there. I have never seen 16 and 20 foot 2x4's of that quality. Superior Buildings were Superior. From the start to the finish. I found them by luck from a magazine Ad. The crew I had was awesome. Luke, Shawn and Lankford. They put the building up in February 2021. They put the rafters up in 5 inches of snow. They worked a couple of days to sunset without leaving the job site all day. Nate, Matt and Dwayne were also awesome. They were there for any question I had. The building is awesome and highly recommend Luke and crew with Superior Buildings.

We have had one large three bay garage Agricultural building built by Superior. We love it. Great build quality and attention to detail. When we needed a new roof on our existing barn, they were the natural choice. Their crews are all employed by Superior (no day laborers), and are super tidy and attentive to the customer needs. Josh has been very good to work with on both projects. Superior buildings will always have my business.
Quality work. You get what you pay for. Some other companies may be cheaper, but you won’t get the quality that Superior offers.

Superior Building did an excellent job building a 30 by 40 barn for me. It turned out better than I was expecting. They were very thorough, helped me design all the details, worked closely with a challenging county (Spotsylvania, VA) building code, did exactly what they said they would do, informed me every step along the way and was patient with me as I asked questions and frequently checked in on status. I would highly recommend them and use them again if I have the need.

Superior Buildings constructed a 3 stall barn with a tack room and hay storage for me in 2017. They were easy to work with, the price was the best I found and my horses love it too. I highly recommend them.

I had Superior Buildings build a pole barn. I researched these building for a few years before I decided on finally getting one built. I searched around and contacted multiple companies about having the building I drew up built and getting quotes. I decided to go with Superior Buildings because they were very prompt and professional. They listened to what I wanted and built it exactly like I wanted it. They were very easy to deal with and the whole process was extremely smooth! I highly recommend them! I already want them to come back and add on!

So Superior built me a garage that I’ve wanted for 10 years. I love it. It has allowed me to set up a wood working area, a parking garage for my fifth wheel, and a garage area to work on cars and motorcycles.

My wife is so happy that I’ve moved a bunch of stuff out of the garage so she can park her car and SUV.

Superior responded to this review and stood by their product. They came back and placed a pressure treated skirt around the whole building so we could raise the elevation of the entire area and mitigate our water issues.
When Steve’s team returned they were punctual and got the work done quickly. It was nice to see them stand behind their product and they did what we needed for us to be happy with our barn.
At the end of the day we have a beautiful barn and now that we don’t have water issues- I think we’re going to be very happy with the structure long term. **
We hired Superior Builders to build us a horse barn in Chesterfield County VA. We loved the work they did based on reviews and images online.
They completed our barn in September of 2020, and it was a fight to get them to the finish line.
Steve's team regularly showed up half staffed or didn't show up at all, skipping entire weeks of work. They didn't have half of the materials ordered properly so we were constantly waiting for materials (NOT due to Covid, due to their estimating) and they would bring materials by anytime of the day or night, or on weekends with no way to unload.
Admittedly most of our issues with our barn are directly due to the pad grading being done VERY poorly. What we wish Steve's crew had done differently is pull us aside that first day and air their concerns about the pad BEFORE building our entire barn in a bowl and then saying "Oh well, that was the grader's fault, we aren't responsible for that." Now we're dealing with a flooded run-in and barn, water undermining our concrete, and sink holes around the structure. Our siding is almost certainly going to rot out in a short amount of time and I feel like crying thinking about all of the wasted money. We figured with a quality builder like Superior we would've gotten a team that would have cared enough about the end product to advise us not to build on that site until our pad was figured out properly. They never mentioned the likelihood of water intrusion until the barn was halfway built, although I'm sure they recognized the impending issue that very first day.
We contracted them to build only the concrete pad and exterior of our barn, with us finishing the interior. We definitely felt we were sidelined for larger, more lucrative work throughout the project and it was obvious we were not a priority for the team. When they did show up they would frequently leave halfway through the day and go to a different job (or home, I'm not sure which), and they acted like they wanted to be literally anywhere else.
There is a reason our barn pictures aren't on their Facebook profile- beware that they will give you exactly what you're contracting them for, and if you aren't watching them constantly and asking all of the right questions they don't actually care if you get the barn you're dreaming of.

We contracted with Superior Buildings to construct a 24’x20’ garage. The installers showed up on time and completed the garage in one day. There was one minor mistake that was made but they came back and corrected it quickly. We love the garage it is exactly what we wanted. I definitely would use their services again in future projects.

Superior Buildings built a 26X32 pole garage on my property. From my first contact to plan and price the project to the day the work crew finished, everyone was professional and the product was truly "superior." I received many compliments on the craftmanship, structural integrity and overall look of the building. Superior Buildings have a true team concept when working with the customer. They listen. Plus, their pricing was fair and reasonable compared to other bids...good price to value ratio. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a pole structure builder.

About five years ago my Father and I decided we wanted to build a multipurpose shop building. We got quotes from a few different companies to include Superior Buildings LLC. We decided to contract Superior Buildings LLC to build the 40x60x12 shop which also included a 8x30 front porch. The company was very knowledgeable and competitively priced. We also decided to add some features after designing the building with their sales team like double bubble insulation on the roof and also adding white metal ceiling inside. They completed the building in a very timely manner even during a heat wave that summer. The crew always kept a clean work site and everything tidy. So fast forward 5 years later and we decided to contract Superior Buildings LLC to build a new Equipment/Hay Barn on our farm and requested the same crew, which we got. They once again built a great building (40x100x16) for us in a timely manner and kept the job site once tidy. Our Family wouldn’t hesitate to utilize Nate and his great company Superior Buildings LLC again.
