Super 8 by Wyndham Laurel

We planned to stay one night. First night’s room and check in was fine. My daughter left some stuff in the room and they had it at the front desk so they are honest. Night two it took 20 minutes to check us in then our key would not work and the room smells like cat pee. So I would say that it is hit or miss on service and the room condition but they will not keep your stuff if you accidentally leave it. Seem to be good people. It is old and worn but it is a place to sleep

I give them all 5s. They are what they are. A Super 8. Our room and bathroom and linens were very clean to include the carpet! Room and bathroom in decent repair. Bed comfortable. Front desk personal welcoming and accommodating. No continental breakfast. Room had microwave, nice size refrigerator. Coffee maker quite disgusting. Hotel on extremely busy state highway.. Yep. Noise.
So, why the 5 stars? Price was very reasonable.1/2 the price of the big name hotels which were right down the street(so still street noise there too). Front desk clerk went out of her way to meet our needs. This is a town shifting into tourism, not an easy path. They are dancing as fast as they can to accommodate these changes. So, a big shout out to Laurel, MS! A very nice place to visit!

This place was truly disgusting. We had no choice but to stay in this motel because our vehicle broke down while passing MS. It was bug infested, extremely dusty. Paint seemed to be ripped off walls as you can see in pic. The floor has not been swept or mopped because our socks were literally turned black!!! Toilet was beyond filthy. Avoid this place if possible!

We were first greeted by a very friendly employee. We had 3 rooms and they made sure we were all by each other. The room itself was not bad for the price paid. Minor wear and tear but we were only staying 1 night for an event the next day. Bathroom was very clean, good water pressure and hot water. The only downfalls id say was the blanket was a little thin and had a couple holes and you can hear the traffic on the main road. I think the issue was there were cars racing up and down the street but once I fell asleep no issue. In the morning again we were greeted by a friendly employee who even made coffee earlier than usual since we were leaving at 0430. Overall great experience at this location.

For the price we got it was worth the it. The bed was hard and the room was semi clean. There were stains on the walls and the doors. The water pressure in the shower was terrible and there was a bottle cap on the floor in the corner of the bathroom door that was there two nights.

Positive: "" Negative: The carpet was filthy. The room was in disrepair. A lamp was nonfunctional. The door handle to the bathroom was nonfunctional. There were no tissues. The bed was lumpy. I received a call at 6:45a asking me to move my car so workmen could begin working.

I wasn't please at all the walls needed too be powerwash. the walls dirtyAnd the carpet was sticky. And nasty the good part of it the sink was clean. And bathroom was as well the sink drains slowly. I had to go to Dollar General to go get some spray for the room cause it smell so bad and sos scrubbing pads wipe the walls. Too many marks was on the walls and looked liked someone put boogers on the walls dirty ugh..

When I walked in the room I was hit with the smell of smoke. Even though it was non smoking room. The room was dirty, the shower leaked. There was a trash can they put under the ac to catch the water dripping out of it. There was no smoke alarm in the room. If I could give a zero I would. I can’t believe this place is actually open for business still.

I had read the reviews and worried I made a mistake in booking this motel.
It is a 1 star motel, But our room was clean. It was very small, but we were only sleeping there. The bed was comfortable BUT the blanket was very thin. Almost went to Wally World to buy a cheap blanket.
Over all if I come back to Laurel I would stay here but I would bring a blanket with me.

This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed I’ve been in 44 countries! Floors are dirty to the point you can’t walk barefoot on them. Facilities are unkept and never repaired! Does are not sealed and bugs get in. Sink and shower are badly worn and dirty, need replacement. Staff is unfriendly, no continental breakfast as advertised, coffee not available until 7am. Air conditioning did work well. But all furniture needed cleaning and dusting not sure what housekeeping is doing but making beds and trash and towels ! Only a bed cover and no blanket had to ask for them and pillow. Other guest making noise and partying at 2am over the weekend!

Not worth the money. The room was dirty. The carpet was stained and sticky. The water pressure was almost non existent. The shower door handle was broken. Light fixtures didn't work. The wall sockets were broken so charging ur phone within arms reach was impossible. Be weary at night. Lots of people coming and going in the middle of the night and hanging out in the back of the motel. Just spend a little more and stay elsewhere

I know it’s a budget hotel but this was pathetic! There were so many things in our room that were broken or damaged - the bed (actually fell down twice), chair, bathroom fixtures. The room desperately needed some new paint and some sheetrock repairs. The paint was all peeling off and some areas had been poorly repainted with wrong colors. There was moldy water damaged sheet rock over the AC unit. The breakfast consisted of 4-5 containers of yogurt and some school lunch fruit cups in a mini fridge in the run down lobby. The area was sketch too. There were people actually digging in the trash cans outside our room. While not rude, the staff was not professional. Some smoking. Some not even greeting us. Some playing music so loud in the lobby that my husband could not hear what she was saying. ||We have lived in 3rd world countries and this is worse than those hotels. Spend a bit more and go somewhere else!

Rooms are a bit dated but the bed was decent and I didn't have to fight the roaches for the blankets.

I booked a single double bed nonsmoking room. That is what they gave me only it already had someone in it, Imagine our surprise!!! then they transferred me to a single king which would have been great only that it smelled like an ash tray ( bad, I used to smoke and bad by those standards) and the entire room smelled like urine. It was late and i was tired so i went to bed. Mattress was comfortable and the tv and coffee pot did work.

The room was not clean , the fire alarm wires were hanging from the sealing the was filty some one had sprayed red paint on the carpets on the side where the Refrigerator was you can see built up dirt or dust so thick it looks like dirt and behind the night stand have not seen a broom or a vacuum in weeks very poor House keeping , I have never seen such bad service and not to mention the front office , on the morning that we checked in we had to recheck in that's okay because we arrived late but that afternoon I went and spoke with the front desk at 4: pm and said to the Lady who was on duty at that time I told her that we would be staying over and checking out on Monday, she did not do as I ask her to do she left a note for the morning shift on Sunday so I had to check out and then check back in. when the person that I spoke with then could have easily done so my credit card was still on file I was resting and had to get up and dressed and go down stairs .

the hotel look loveiy from the outside i was excited to see laurel and see where the home town show is filmed all was great ! till we got to the hotel super8 ||my wife checked in got the key card, then it went down hill from there. lets just start with the key for room 108 would not work the manager came out see the problem ||it would'nt work for her either so being very nice she moved us to room 109, she struggled finely got it opened as she did a heat wave come out out the room|| as soon as the door was opened she turned around and left ,we were tired and sleepy my wife said put your insulin in the fridg . it as dirty as hell cover in orange soda||the bottom board that holes up the unit was rotted and wet, hold on it gets worse the tub was yellow stained ,the totlit seat just sitting on of bowl and slied off , water over over filled the tank ,the corners of bath room were black with built up dirt and wax ||the ceiling cracked ,paint was peeling off so were the walls, water in the wash sink had no pressure ,never again and im tell all family , friends not use them ever i don't have to worry about compsation as i'll go there||this happened twice on the same 10 day trip once goin down to texas and once coming back to long island.||what are the odds of this happening two differnce hotels thousands of mi;es apart?||west memphis tenn, and luarel mississippi ||NEVER AGAIN||11-28-2023--12-05-2023||jose lopez||li-new york

Was supposed to be a breakfast, main door were still locked at 6 am, couldnt even get inside, checked out at 615 am and doors were still locked, room had cobwebs on the ceiling, looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a while. Lady who checked me in was really nice and sweet,

There's several disgusting issues with rm 210. Mold in shower. Mold under sink edge. Sink clogged. Toilet wouldn't flush. Shower door handle broken. Hair on towels. Floor was disgusting!! I wish I could post photos of my grandchildren feet. We had an emergency at my home and needed a room. Myself, my 84 yr old Mom and 2 grandsons had to stay somewhere. By the time I carted a trunk full of food, toys and clothes up to 2nd floor I was in no shape to cart it bck to car. Hotels in area were full. Matter fact they only had 3 rms available at Super 8. I was stuck! We had to wear shoes every time a foot was going to touch the floor. On sight it looked clean, after being there a short time we learned the room was not clean at all. I don't think the floor had been mopped in a year! If it were just Myself I would have stayed in my car! When I showed pictures to front desk staff they looked at me as if I had taken the pictures at a different location. I Literally had to wash the children's feet if they got off the bed to go use restroom and bck to bed, their feet were black!!! Disgusting!!! Stay somewhere else!! Mold on several places in room. Countertop looked clean, when I wiped it down with clorox wipes it was disgusting as well. Horribly disgusting on cleanliness. Thank goodness I brought our own covers, pillows and towels. Really nice updated decor, but the staff staring at us each time we walked out of our room made us a little uncomfortable.

This place is dirty-like critters crawling up the walls dirty!! The floors are sticky. The TV has one channel. The shampoo bottle had been used by a previous guest! It was just nasty! I would have left cleaner sleeping in my vehicle. Yuck! It’s a dirty dump. Wyndham should remove their name from this establishment. It’s very misleading!

The people working here are nice but the place is really sad. Breakfast is orange juice or coffee and a packaged Danish. The bathroom light is out, the door does not close, the lamps are so old they're rusty and what I'm walking on is NOT carpet. The sheets have permanent stains .... BUT... BUT.. the TV works OK. I was so happy to check out the next day.

The door has a quarter inch gap all the way up the door frame. The door didn't have a second lock, just a chain on the door that didn't work. 3 lights didn't work which made the room very dark.. There was no coffee in the morning and I told that it was "too bad". The internet didn't work. The air conditioning was not working correctly. The mattress had a big dent on one side where you could feel springs poking through. I contacted Wyndham and they never contacted me back! RUN FROM THIS PLACE! Again WYNDHAM has not contacted me!|

This is a Dump do not go here the rooms are nothing like the pictures on the website and the front desk will say they are but they are definitely not. The room gave me the creeps and i felt like i was in a mexican prison. Its better than being homeless but barely.

Staff was very friendly. Check in-and out was seamless. Rooms are a bit dated but relatively clean. Had electrical issues in bathroom and vanity. Blow dryer did not work but microwave and refrigerator did. Was pretty quiet, but I normally live under the flight path of a major Fed Ex hub so take that for what it's worth. Overall stay was fine if your are not too picky. I'm sure my wife would disagree but we have stayed in places ALOT worse.

First the customer servive here was good as the let me change rooms after I complain about the first one.
My first room had died bugs in the corners of the ceiling and was missing a smoke alarm.
My second room was a smoking room, but other than the smoke smell and carpet stains from mostly foot traffic it was cleaner. The worst part was the bed. It felt like I was sleeping on a metal sheet it was so stiff. I didn't get much sleep due to that. Also room did have the best noise suppressed so I heard most things outside.
