We hired Sunset Exteriors to replace some windows and siding, plus put a new rolled roof on our flat roof. Windows and siding took longer than expect but looked good. However, the roofing crew they sent had no idea what they were doing. The new roof was not installed properly and peeled back during a strong wind. Then when it rained, it started to leak. When we called Bruce to examine the problem, he sent the roofer out who didn’t seem to know what the problem was, so he took roofing cement and tried to seal around the pipes on the roof. But the leaking continued. We contacted Bruce several times, sent pictures on the damage, but we got the run around. We finally had enough and called 2 roofing companies to come and inspect the problem. Almost immediately, both roofers had the same response..... improper installation. When we contacted Bruce at Sunset he did not respond. So we had the other roofer fix the problem, which was an extra cost, but the problem was resolved. Sunset Exteriors either did not have enough roofing knowledge to identify the improper installation or just didn’t want to be bothered. We do not recommend them.
