They were on time, respectful of our property, very thorough in providing warranties and paper work and then explaining to us how they would proceed. They were so organized, efficient and clean! Showed up when scheduled. Work was done quickly and very neatly. Installers were easy to work with. When they were done they replaced the shingles on the roof such that you could not tell they were there. Would use again and would recommend to a friend.

We are very pleased with our new skylights and how the project was organized, completed and cleaned up after. The crew chief was a great explainer and the team was efficient. The product is light years ahead of the leaky skylights that were replaced. We can keep the new ones open through the night to cool the house, knowing they'll close themselves if it rains. The shades in the daytime also provide sun protection when we need it. A very pleasant experience and upgrade.

Craig and his team replaced two skylights for us in October of 2023. All aspects of installation and scheduling were very prompt and professional, there was no mess afterward and the new skylights looked and functioned great. I never wrote a review then because I wanted to see how much of an improvement they were from my old skylights. Last winter we no longer had condensation dripping of the windows on cold days and our kitchen maintained temperature better. The summer was were we noticed the biggest difference. Having the ability to open them easily keeps our house cooler on days when we don't have the AC on. On hot days our kitchen stays cooler than it ever has from a combo of the better quality of the skylight and blinds that can be easily lowered. I just wish I had called them years ago when I thought our skylights needed replaced instead of waiting for a leak to happen.

FINALLY - after years of two leaking skylights, Sun-Up replaced them just before heavy rain and NO MORE LEAKS. They look great as well, bringing light into the house. To say that I’m happy with my new skylight and sun tunnel is an understatement! I replaced a 30+ year old skylight that was potentially causing leaks in my kitchen, and added a sun tunnel to a dark, windowless main bathroom. If anyone is questioning whether they REALLY need a sun tunnel, it is worth every penny. The guys from Sun Up were great, knowledgeable, and at the end of the install you wouldn’t have even known they were here. The place was so clean! There was an issue with the motor on the new skylight, but they worked diligently to fix it, and it’s been all good since. You can tell that this company is passionate about what they do. All this hard rain that we’ve had, and I’ve had no leaks, so fingers crossed that the new skylight has fixed that issue. I’m still walking past my bathroom thinking I need to turn the light off, it’s so bright in there now. I love it! Do not hesitate to go with Sun Up!

My experience with SUN-UP Construction was all 5 Stars starting from contact with the Front Office personnel to contact with an estimator, to signing off on the quote, to scheduling the installation. The install team arrived on time and replaced my 30 year old skylight with no issues. They took great care with my property and provided me with a beautiful solar powered skylight. I highly recommend their service for any skylight needs.

I contacted Sun-Up Construction to install a Sun Tunnel in a dark hallway. They scheduled someone to come out and do an estimate. The person who did the estimate arrived on time, and then e-mailed me the quote. The numbers looked acceptable, so I agreed to get it done - all paperwork was done on line. A week or two later I got a call to schedule the install, which then happened a couple of weeks later - right on schedule. The install took a couple of hours or less. They cleaned up and left and now I have a bright sunny hallway during the day and a softly lit hallway at night, thanks to the "solar night light." It's great. Very pleased with Sun-Up construction.

This is the second time I've used SunUp Construction for Velux Sun Tunnels and both times were outstanding experiences. Craig (mgr) came out promptly to our request for an estimate, and was very thorough, kind, and honest. He answered all of our questions and made things clear for us.

When we asked to be put on the schedule when the weather permitted and his crew had time, he got back to us with a date within the next week. Our sun tunnels were put in by Paul and James, who were polite, friendly, and left everything clean. Our work was done within a span of three hours or less, on 2/5/24 and we've been super happy with the result!

We are new to PA and needed some natural light in our guest bath and laundry room. Sunup was great to work with. They communicated well and completed the work on time and cleaned up after themselves. They were patient while I decided where to create the sun tunnel and we are happy with the finished product. Our only critique is related to dealing with VELUX directly for the solar light lights. We have a defective light and in order to get it replaced, we had to submit a video of the light not working correctly. Not a big deal, but annoying nonetheless. We recommend Sunup, but we don’t necessarily look forward to working with VELUX for any warranty issues.

I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the installation of the 3 kitchen skylights. Their crew was prompt, cleaned up afterward, and made sure that I was comfortable with the operation of the remote sunshades! Very pleased - would highly recommend !

We've had several hard rains since the skylights were put in, and no leaks or issues at all. Craig was upfront about a few unexpected challenges they encountered while installing our lights, and was able to adjust out window configuration in both a timely manner and in a revised layout that still reached our goals for the space. Very happy - I would hire them again.

We had a 30-year-old skylight replaced. From initial visit to installation completion, their response was super. Craig Thorslund, the owner, did the initial visit and gave us a quote and expained exactly what would needed to be done. The installation crew was here right on time as scheduled and completed the job in 2 and 1/2 hours. When they left, except for the new skylight, you would never know that they had been here. Everyone was thoughtful and considerate and responded promptly to our every request. On a scale of 1 to10, SUN-UP earned a 11+.

Making the appointment was a friendly experience; SUN-UP was efficient, responsive and seemed concerned. We had been looking to replace our skylights for years. We met Paul at the Pittsburgh Home Show in March and we were impressed with his knowledge and expertise in all things Velux. We have used Craig and Sun-Up for two installs (including a sun tunnel which we upgraded to solar) and they always deliver excellent quality and results. We upgraded our original kitchen skylight to a solar one that will automatically close if it starts raining! The trim and shade are more attractive than the previous one and are a more modern style. The Solar Skylight tunnel in the bathroom is amazing! Am so pleased that there is a tax incentive right now that will save us lots of money, too. Highly recommend these professionals!

First time using Sun-Up construction. They were awesome. I got new skylights installed and the team was very professional. First thing they did was ensure the furniture was moved or covered so no debris got on it. They were here three hours and before leaving showed my wife and I the warranty info, went over the rebate and finally show us how it electronic screens worked. When they left it looks like there were never there. Honest and nice team. Will call them again..

A couple of years ago, we had two sun tunnels, put in our living room, and one in a dark and hallway. The difference was amazing and really cheered up the spaces. We just redid our bathroom and had to have a window taken out of the shower area, so it was very dark in the bathroom as well as in the small hallway outside of the bathroom. We put one sun tunnel in the hallway and one in the bathroom and the transformation was just what we needed. It will be great to not have to turn the lights on back there at night because of the night lights. It will save electricity because usually we would have the hall light on all night. I would highly recommend these great light sources. We have been very happy with our previous sentence and will enjoy these ones.

Sun-Up Construction was very responsive and on time for appointments and installation. They gave us honest feedback about where the sun tunnels would make the most difference in our house. We had two 14" sun tunnels with night lights installed and it makes such a huge difference in our room!! It is so much brighter. The installers were fantastic. 4 years ago we had Sun Up Construction install a triple skylight with solar shade in our kitchen. We immediately recognized savings on our utilities keeping the shade open in the winter & closing it in the heat of the day during summer.
