Scott with Summit Sweeps came out to inspect and clean one furnace and one fireplace flue. Scott is exactly the kind of guy you want. Knowledgeable, thorough, straight-forward, and friendly.
My woodburning furnace flue was a bit complicated and an absolute mess (worst of the year, according to Scott). He went over the associated problems and possible solutions, with an emphasis on safety issues.
The fireplace will be getting an insert, and Scott made recommendations for a few fixes that I could do myself.
Fair, square, practical, and informative; it is good fortune to find such a person, and he's the one I'll call in the future. I'd say he's the one you should call as well. My highest recommendation.
