Contracted to have 35 windows replaced on my Detroit home.
Took my deposit $13,500 on 10/17
As of today -NO WINDOWS - POOR COMMUNICATION - SPOTTY AT BEST
Sterling the owner said he would refund my deposit on 1/7/25.
I’m still waiting on 1/21/25

Sterling Construction and Roofing did our rooftop power vent replacement. I did the motor before and it failed. They were able to give me an estimate right away. Plus, they answered all of my extra questions about proper attic ventilation. The install was thorough and efficient. Then after the repair and payment, Sterling himself called for the follow up. All and all great service.

Had a wonderful experience working with Sterling / Sterling Construction. I had a leak in my roof and they came out within a week, during winter even, clearing the snow to complete the work. Rates were very reasonable, everyone that came to my house was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. The first time I hired Sterling Construction was about four years ago, Sterling came out and completed a small roof replacement that I was satisfied with fast-forward to about a week ago. They completed the remaining exterior remodeling needs, and I couldn’t be happier. They got the job done within one day. The only issue I had was a small amount of debris at the backyard during the install. I made one phone call to the project manager and all the debris were moved so I could exit out of the back door. No complaints whatsoever. It happens on active job sites. My wife is happy with the project. I will continue to use the company for the future.

The expectations were set and they kept their promises from the start to finish. We hired Sterling construction to do a one day job in July 9 th of 2024 . We have gotten the run around for months, and he can't keep good workers, he sent a kid to finish up the job, and the kid did not finish it I asked Sterling to come and inspect the work and I sent him pictures. Did not hear from him for two months and then out of no where he contacted up and said he wanted to finish the job and we had a balance to pay, can't pay for a job that's not finished. He is a smooth talker and no action .

Sterling and his team did a fantastic job on the roofing repairs I needed for my home! The quote process was extremely in depth and the team was very knowledgeable. Everything was explained in detail and the pricing was very fair. I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly my repairs were scheduled and completed. The on site crew was quick and did a great job with cleanup as well! Will definitely hire Sterling again for any future jobs.

A member of Sterling construction knocked on my door from doing a inspection in the neighborhood and told me I had storm damage on my house which I had a lot of I agreed to do a claim he walked me through it made everything streamline, and effort list for me after the adjuster came out, I was approved for a roof after The work put in by Sterling construction. It was a great one day installation cleanup was flawless I mean, not even one piece of material was left to be picked up. It was spotless. Finally Marco the exterior specialist came and filled out a certificate of completion and left me happy. I highly recommend Sterling construction and roofing for your roof replacement needs and also insurance claims.

Sterling construction has been doing work for United since we’ve opened our doors. Working with the staff has been open communication, quality work on our multi family & high rise communities. I highly recommend Sterling for all exterior’s.

Not a good experience in our condominium complex.
They tore my screens and trim and clearly stated to our HOA they will not be repairing them.
Also, months later, shingles are coming off, I have photos buts it's not allowing me to show them.
2 people representing the company came to my door, said they were going around our complex to ask our resident's how they did.
I told them everything.
It's been nothing ever since

We needed a company to do a small roofing job caused by storm damage. Most companies didn't call us back.Sterling came out and worked with our insurance claim. They scheduled and completed the job within two weeks. Job well done! Everything looks great and no mess was left behind. Sterling came out afterward to inspect the work. I would highly recommend this company and look forward to using them again in the future.

This company is top notch. The owner Sterling is a great listener, has a head for the business, relatable and really cares for his employees. We interviewed 3 roofing companies and they were all within $200.00 of each other. We went with Sterling because we love to give our business to a local company (Livonia), when we called he was the one we were talking too, Sterling is just an all round nice person, and Sterling construction does Great work. The crew had 12 people working on our roof from 7:30 to 3:00 and it was all done and cleaned up in one day.

I contracted with Sterling Construction and Roofing to resolve/repair portions of my businesses' roofing,.skylight, and soffit. This company was very professional, and I was (at the completion) extremely pleased with their work. They did exactly what they said they would do!!!

Had a storm destroy my garage roof. Set up an appointment and they were very prompt. Estimate came, a week later workers came by, a very smooth process. Would recommend for any other repairs needed.

The roofing job was completed ahead of schedule and the guys worked hard. My complaint and the reason I couldn’t give 5 stars is because some items were damaged in my front yard I had to pick up trash, cigarette butts and other items after they were finished. I personally felt that although they worked hard to get the roofing done, there was some negligence and lack of respect of my property.

I'm in a condo community and I was the first building to start on, so there were some mishaps, but they repaired the issue with no problems. Everything is good now.

Sterling Construction put new shutters on the front of our home. I was happy they took a small job here. The technician did a perfect job on installation. Pricing was more than fair after getting 2 quotes. Communication with the owner Sterling is excellent as he is highly responsive. Would have Sterling Construction work for me again!

What an absolute terrible experience with Sterling. Tuesday appointment scheduled for 11:15. At 11:14, I get a call that he cannot make the appointment. Rescheduled for Thursday at 11. At 11:10, I call to see if he’s on his way. Nope. Not going to make it again, but wasn’t even going to tell me. He then continues on to tell me that it’s a waste of his time to come out to my location and that he will not even look at my roof without my husband being present. Why even schedule the appointments if you’re not going to show. Thanks for nothing.

Hello i am a first time home owner and a single women. I have never had a experience with a company like i have had with sterling construction and roofing. It was truly great!!! The project manager kept me up to speed with all the details during the roof, siding & gutters being installed. I was updated periodically during certain milestones of the project come to find out via other automation system, so I never missed a beat. The dumpster was picked up the same day after the last phase of work was completed. The grounds were cleaned up as of they were never here. I would hands down recommend this company! Personal feel, i didn't get thrown around to multiple people. I felt the care of true customer service from sterling construction and roofing.

Sterling Construction never paid Wimsatt Building Supplies for the material for my son's roof job. Wimsatt has put a lien on my son's home. They will not return calls now he is getting a lawyer inform and I am calling a couple TV stations so they hopefully they will take this public so no one else has gets taken.

Not a great place to go to. They don’t return phone calls even when they say they will get back to you. They will say a supposed schedule date & then no one shows up. You have to repeatedly call them & still get no information from anyone. Highly DO NOT recommend.

I had my complete roof redone. Renaissance Contracting did an excellent job. They cleaned up completely after the work was done. The Owner and Workers were courteous and professional. I would recommend this company highly.
