EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS! We couldn’t be happier with the work Josh, Ivan, and Sam from Sterling Concepts did for us. We called Sterling Concepts for what we thought was a simple cosmetic repair of the skirting around our house. Josh and Ivan came out that day and discovered that the moisture barrier behind the skirting was missing, putting our house at risk of water damage. This was a surprise to us considering the house is new and the skirting was “repaired” last year by another contractor. After explaining all of our options, Josh quickly provided us with a comprehensive quote.

A couple of days later, Sam and Ivan dug a trench all the way around the house, removed the skirting, installed OSB and Tyvek, then replaced the skirting. When they were done they cleaned everything up and put all the mulch and rock back in place.

I can’t say enough about Sterling Concepts customer service and craftsmanship. They delivered excellence from the first phone call to the final walk-through. Thank you!

Called Sterling Concepts for minor but necessary repairs on our roof (unrelated to their previous repair) after having an excellent experience with them a year ago. Again they were friendly, responsive and completed the job efficiently.

We had major issues with roof damage and rain leakage into our 120 year old home which needed urgent attention. Sterling Concepts responded immediately and had one if their roofers look closely at the damages. They did a temporary repair to stop rain water from entering the house while they looked at possible causes. We had the exterior and interior repair work looked at by three contractors and Sterling Concepts was the most cost effective and the most willing to help get at the root cause of the roof problems (which ended up being tricky to pinpoint). Additionally, Jed worked diligently with our homeowners insurance company to help them understand the complex issues and repair with our old home, resulting in a large insurance payout that we didn't anticipate.

I could not be more pleased with the exterior and interior repair work done by Sterling Concepts along with their professionalism. They have an outstanding crew that got at the issues rather than temporary patches. I am completely satisfied with their work and would hire them again. I am also happy to say there has been no leakage during the past several rainstorms.

I’d highly recommend Sterling Concepts. They gave me the best price on my roof replacement of the many estimates I received, all while providing great work and responsiveness. Jed helped me pick out a shingle that went with my house and it looked great after the work was complete.

Had a small roof leak. They came out, identified the problem immediately, gave me a quote, and had someone out to redo a section of my roof 2 days later.

We had a leak in roof and called a roof company to check it out. The 1st roof company person that came by didn't even go on ladder and look at our roof. In fact, the 1st company person wanted us to file a claim to insurance saying there was a hail storm that that hail storm caused the roof leak. The 1st person was very insisted that we file a claim. He even called my husband a few days later like bugging us to file a claim with insurance company.

We wanted a second opinion then we stumbled upon Sterling Concepts. Jed came by to look at our roof. He went with a ladder and looked at our roof. He said our roof can last for another 10 years. In fact the issue wasn't the roof at all. It was our humidifier. So Jed said we can fix this issue that will actually solve it. His explanation makes sense. And he laid out the options and prices that's much more affordable. So even if we replaced the roof with 1st company, it still wouldn't solve our issue.

Jed even fixed some minor issues in our house. The best knowledgeable handy man I've known so far and he's very professional. Glad I stumble upon Jed from Sterling Concepts.

We scheduled an inspection and It was suggested we could repair the roof instead of replacing. He was able to do the work same day as the inspection bc we had extra roofing tiles in our garage. His pricing was really fair and he did an exceptional job and was very quick and thorough. 100% would recommend to anyone.

Josh, Jed and the crew are pretty great. Fast, flexible, affordable and the roof looks REALLY good. They were willing to work around an extensive garden area without damaging any plants, and extended the ice/water membrane for better protection. I changed from an original brown shingle to a silver-gray ("pewter") color - and they switched all the roof vents and flashing to black (and even hand-painted the one section of chimney flashing that couldn't be replaced as it was mortared in place). Looks sharp. Jed stuck the estimate to the dollar too! They cleaned up really well when they were done. Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about this company! Jed came out within hours of contacting him. He thoroughly explained the process, and took the time to answer my many questions. My roof was beautifully completed within a week. They went above and beyond my expectations. During the process, if I had any questions, I was able to reach them immediately. The price was reasonable, the work was excellent and I cannot recommend this company enough!

After reaching out to Jed in the morning, he was at my house at 3 pm that afternoon. The work I had done (soffits, fascia, window wrapping) was started by the end of that same week. Another contractor (the only one besides Jed that actually showed up...) said he wouldn't be able to begin until October. It was a relief to have my home worked on in a timely - or even faster than timely - way.

Jed is very knowledgeable, friendly and humorous. He genuinely cares about his customers' satisfaction, and doesn't try to oversell a bunch of stuff you don't need. On the contrary, if there's a simpler fix, Jed will make recommendations on how to do it, or in some cases, fix it on the spot.

Jed is incredibly responsive, answering texts within minutes (I don't think I ever waited more than 20 minutes to hear back from him, at any time of day). He answered all my questions and checked in several times during the work to make sure I was happy.

The crew that did the work were great! Friendly, professional, and very hard working. They were respectful of my property, did quality work, and cleaned up the property very well when they were done.

Sterling concepts are amazing. I would recommend to anyone. They do it all from talking to your insurance company to completing the paperwork and getting the job done. Professional, ethical, kind, and excellent communicators. They helped me when no one else seemed to care and they fought for what I needed from my insurance company.

It was a sense of urgency and serendipity that brought me to Sterling Concepts. I had noticed some water staining in my upstairs bedroom back in January and decided to wait to pursue diagnosis or repair until after the paralyzing cold that gripped the Midwest for the past couple weeks. Well yesterday it finally got above freezing and then the ceiling/wall started dripping. So I scrambled and went on Home Advisor, filled out the questions and within an hour Jed from Sterling Concepts called me. After talking to me he had a sneaky suspicion it could be humidity condensing on the underside of my roof decking that could be the issue. He came this morning less than 24 hours after the call on his way to another job, got onto my roof and inspected for damage. Nothing. Went back inside and inspecting the wall and determined based on my story that yes humidity was now water dripping from the underside of my roof. He expertly diagnosed the issue, inspected the roof, inspected the inside, helped me cut open the wall to let it drain and ultimately gave me peace of mind that I would be able to make the repairs on my own. He was up front about what he could do to help me further and put my mind at ease not opting to do work he knew didn't need to be done. I greatly appreciate his honesty, his professionalism, his attention to detail and his swiftness in helping to begin to alleviate the issue. I would hire Sterling Concepts again. Thank you Jed.

Josh was my main point of contact and helped me get a roof replaced while dealing with the insurance company on my behalf. He always answered when i called and kept the line of communication open throughout the entire process. It always felt like i was in good hands, and he made the process incredibly simple for me. Mr. Sterling answered every phone call I made to him! I was completely abandoned by a contractor (I won’t name) after he found out that my insurance company would not replace all the siding on my house but only the siding that was affected by a hail storm in 2017. I found Mr. Sterling, he immediately picked up where my previous, irresponsible, contractor left off with the insurance companies. Not only that, but the work was done and paid for, without any of the responsibility’s falling on me. I would highly recommend Sterling Concepts to anyone that needs to get a job done and needs someone they can relay on to do it!

We are in the process of selling our home. We discovered some siding damage on the exterior side and were concerned that we might have to delay selling our home. Not only because of the damage, but also because it is February and the temperature is -15 degrees outside. We contacted Sterling Concepts LLC and Jed came out the next day. Jed explained the problem and then provided a solution to the problem and said he would work the weekend, in the cold to complete the work because we were trying to sell the home. Sterling Concepts LLC did a wonderful job and went way above what was expected to ensure the job was completed and done as quickly as possible. Great company and a company you can trust!

My wife and I recently bought our first home, and discovered in our inspection that the roof was over 20 years old and had some hail damage. We received several quotes for a new roof, but had assumed that we would have to wait at least until the spring before any serious repairs could be done. We met Jed Sterling after he had done some repair work for the sellers, and not only was he able to immediately give us a very competitive quote for the roof and new gutters, but he also assured us that he could get it done in the winter -- before we even fully moved into the home. I was a little skeptical at first about a new roof installation during a Minnesota winter, but Jed answered all the questions I had about their methods and left me convinced that we could get a new roof installed properly, with excellent workmanship, without having to wait. Less than two weeks after the initial quote, the roof and gutters are all completely installed and look great! Jed, Josh, and their crew were even able to accommodate some special requests I had to support other improvements I'm working on (additional roof vents for a new bath fan, and ventilation for what will be an enclosed attic space over the garage). Throughout the whole process Jed was always easy to get in contact with, and communicated very well at every step of the way -- better than any other contractor or home service professional I've come across. I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend Sterling Concepts, and will be keeping them in mind for my own future projects as well.

Repair an Asphalt Shingle Roof
We had a couple of other contractors prior To Jed who came out to give us estimate for our needed roof repairs.We were impressed with Jed taking on our concerns as soon as he saw it.
Jed approach was like dealing with a family member , I was moved by that .
I knew then that even if we have to negotiate this is the person that I would like to repair my roof . I felt quite comfortable with him and he did deliver on time and quality as promised.
We really wanted to get the repairs done ASAP due to the nature of it.
These guys came out took care of the work with much care and professionals approach .he wanted to make sure we were totally satisfied before he collected his final payment.This was one chk payment that I was happy to make .
The work was excellent and Jed and his crew were a pleasant group to work with.

We noticed some leaking on our roof and reached out for some help fixing the issue. Even on the weekend Jed responded so quickly and was out the very next day crawling around in our attic pointing out issues. Called on Saturday and roof fixed by end of day Wednesday by replacing a full half of the roof. Incredible. So many places we called wouldnâ t even give us the time of day if we werenâ t looking to put on an entire new roof. He was so helpful getting our issues fixed and allowing us to figure out getting payment together without slowing down the project and letting more damage occur. Also appreciated his clear explanations of what was causing our issue and how it would be fixed. We are so grateful!

My family is selling our home and had a buyer request an estimate for a roof repair. I called several contractors and roofers. We submitted an online inquiry to Sterling Concepts for an estimate to make roof repairs because of leaking water in our roof near the chimney. Within an hour, we received a call from Jed Sterling, and the next day he was at our property.
Jed informed us that we had hail damage across the entire roof and was more than likely the cause for the leak (damaged flashing). Because of the widespread hail damage, we decided to file an insurance claim. From that moment, Jed was by our side at every step of the process from helping gather evidence and documentation in filing for the initial claim to the final roof installation. Furthermore, Jed and Josh Sterling helped us with gathering documentation to get new siding through the insurance company because of pervasive hail damage.
Not only were the new roof and new siding of high quality, but the working crews did completed the jobs quickly and did a great job cleaning up before leaving.

When we started to look into getting our roof repaired Jed from Sterling Concepts was the first contractor to get in touch with me. He was also the last contractor we talked to because from the beginning we received nothing but top shelf customer service.

We had a leak in our roof and mold. It quickly became evident that the roof would need to be completely replaced.

I don’t have a ton of experience with roofs or mold so Jed drove out to my place just to call the insurance company. He became my point man/roof lawyer from that point on. All communication with the insurance company went through Jed. The insurance guys fought us tooth and nail on everything. They dragged their feet for 3 weeks but Jed was there every step of the way advocating for us. I’ve never seen anything like it. When the insurance agency finally folded and said they would cover the damages it was such a relief and I’m not sure it would’ve got done without Jed fighting for us every step of the way.

That’s not all though. The insurance company informed us they would cover the project late on a Friday. By Monday afternoon all of the finer details were worked out (would’ve been sooner but the insurance guys don’t work weekends). By Tuesday we had the exact roof picked out that we wanted (style, shingles, color), and by Wednesday night the ENTIRE PROJECT WAS FINISHED! It was such a fast turnaround and honestly the work is fantastic. This roof looks great!
