State Construction replaced our roof in July 2024, and we could not be happier with the service, speed, and quality of the work. The crew showed up as promised and after the tear off recommended replacing some of the original plywood due to dry rot. They worked hard and complete the tear off and new roof in 3 days. Justin was easy to work with and very helpful in deciding on the best product and color roof for our home.

I am a little bit late on this review as I worked with Justin and his crew in March during some really rough weather. I could not be happier with the outcome of my roof. It looks amazing. Justin was extremely easy to work with and had some fantastic suggestions which helped this project go smoothly and turn out great. The work was done very efficiently and on time despite The crazy fall weather they were dealing with. His crew cleaned up everything immaculately. From the time the material for the project was delivered until the job was completed only took a few days. There were No hassles involved and I would absolutely use them again. Since I have recommended them to neighbors and family.

Justin and his crew are the best. He gave us a bid within 24hrs, and called to follow up with any questions. Gave us a firm start date, notified us daily with any changes due to weather, etc. His crew is very nice, they work very hard and cleaned up at the end of each day. The work is top notch and was so beautiful when they were done. Justin is very honest and dedicated to doing a great job.

Justin and his crew are as real as they come. A salesperson that has never roofed didn't come give me a bid - the owner and experienced roofer himself did. He took my requests and made it a reality quickly and at a better rate than the other companies in the area could offer. State construction did not waste my time or money.

I had pretty bad wind damage to my 30+ y/o roof during the December wind/ice storm. Therefore, it wasn't worth repairing.
Gave Justin a call, he came out that day, had me a quote for a new roof the next day.
3 layers tear off with wood shake as the bottom layer.
We had to play the weather waiting game, we had the surprise snow storm the day they were going to begin. :-)
Once that melted, they got to work and were done in 2 1/2 days.
Of course, complete plywood sheeting, the works.
Roof looks great! Justin was always attentive; crew was friendly and hard working.

Had severe roof damage after a a wind storm in Dec. They came out and did a temp. repair until the insurance gave approval. Justin was the first estimate I got and I made up my mind to go with State Construction even before I got the second estimate. The Price turned out to be comparable to the second estimate without the advantage of knowing what that would be. The price was fair and reasonable and the roof looks great.

Justin and his crew had their hands full removing three layers of old shingles, repairing structural issues, replacing rotten plywood, adding skylights, and installing heavy 50-year shingles. They were very efficient - completing the work in about a week while making sure the roof was protected from the rain during the night.

I had a great experience with State Construction. We had a roof that was in dire need of replacement and was leaking into the kitchen whenever it rained. The owner, Justin, is a great guy, he did my bid and was on sight each day to manage his crew who were also wonderful. They had the old roof ripped off in a day and the new roof up the next day on the main house. I have a smaller home, roughly 1250 sq/ft, and they knocked it out in 2 days and it looks great. Justin and one of his employees were there on the 3rd day to finish up a tricky patio section I have and I couldn't be happier. They don't take any short cuts and use quality materials to get the job done. And best of all, out of the 3 bids I had done, State Construction came in lowest. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

Noticed a leak in the spare bedroom just before Christmas. Called Justin based on his reviews and had a beautiful new roof installed before New Year’s Day! Justin and his team just completed a 3 week project for us - tear off, new plywood and replacement of a large and complicated roof. From our first interaction during the bid process through the final cleanup this week, he and his team were exceptional. Working with Justin is like working with your favorite cousin! He treats you like family. He has amazing expertise and goes above and beyond. He came out on the same day I called him and gave me an estimate. I could tell immediately that he was extremely knowledgeable in his craft. When he came out and gave me my bid he noticed that I needed some additional work done around my home. I am a full-time teacher and a part-time student and really needed some help sorting out what projects mattered now and where to find good honest professionals. He personally took the time to trim my tree back for me, find me a painter, and a gutter installer. My home is back to top shape. I can’t thank him enough for all he did for me and for my family! Trust me when I say you will not regret going with his company! Oh and the roof, it looks amazing… It went from covered in moss with a big dip in it to now being the show piece in the neighborhood.

We had a great experience with State Construction: Full cedar shake tear-off, all new plywood deck, 50yr shingles and 6k gutters.

If you need a new roof you owe it to yourself to at least get a quote from these guys. I called for an estimate and Justin was at my house within 2 hours. I had an emailed estimate by that evening and a new 50yr roof within 2 weeks.

I did a lot of research on roofing contractors prior to deciding on working with Justin.
His number was not the lowest but it was the most honest, no hidden fees, we had a base priced and had adders for any additional items or unforeseen issues like rot or mold in the roof. During the tear off we encounter a lot of rotten plywood and fascia boards, on the plywood that was nothing we could do, but on the fascia board we were able to salvage ¾ of it by just cleaning and painting it. I was able to do this job myself and save about $2,500 of new fascia board. Other contractor would have not bothered with this and simply removed and place new board. And did I mention that Justin provided me the tools and material so I could the job? Free of charge!!!
And don’t even get me started on his crew, they day I worked on the fascia board I got to see their work first hand, they were great, good quality work, no shortcuts. Highly recommend these guys.

I will say that I cannot say enough good things about State Construction and Justin. If I could give more than 5 stars I would definitely do so. I highly recommend this company. I feel very fortunate that I found State Construction and was able to work with Justin. Justin works hard for his customers and his business. Being a senior I look for trustworthiness, honesty, and sincerity, and he has all those traits. Having a great personality made it easy to work with him.Work was completed as scheduled and Justin consistently followed up with me. When I started searching for a roofing company i gasped at the cost, but the bid I received from Justin made it affordable.

Can’t say enough good things about my experience with Justin. Contacted him and he met me at my house the next day. We planned to do a complete tear down of our cedar shake roof and re-roof with composite (he also did our shed, on my request). We did a walk around where he explained the process fully, what he saw specific to my house that was needed. Made suggestions on materials, but was never pushy to upsell me on anything. Was very clear and concise and took the time to answer my questions and explain to me questions I never knew I had. Had a bid within a few hours, with everything laid out in easy to understand terms, straight and to the point. Justin answered my questions about the different shingle types and was honest with what would be best for our situation. Do your due diligence as we did, but trust me, Justin is more than just competitive on his pricing. As for the work, during the rainy season and not being in a rush Justin kept in contact about when the process would start. Justin was honest with us about the timeline of the work and that it would be ideal to wait for good conditions, to which we agreed. We met the day before work started at our house and went over any final concerns and questions. The work was completed in a timely fashion, looks great, and all debris was fully cleaned around my house. Justin checked in with me after the process to make sure we were happy with the work. It’s obvious when you first meet Justin he truly cares about his work and his customers. I highly recommend Justin and State Construction!

The cost of a new roof is hard to swallow. Not only am I pumped with the quality of work these guys did, I’m beyond stoked I went with Justin’s recommendation to do new skylights and a more-beefy, more pronounced ridge line. The price was WELL worth what I got in return and then some! They even took the time to paint my vents to match the roof so everything blends in. It looks AWESOME and no detail was too small to be dialed in by these guys. Also, the crew was a really nice group of guys and couldn’t be harder workers. Really great experience from start to finish!

Justin Lind is knowledgeable, experienced, honest and a pleasure to work with. He came to our house in an emergency situation to provide a second opinion on a re-roofing change order by a different company which included a very large up-charge.
While here, he helped us to understand the breakdown of the costs in our roofing job, and looked at the condition of our decking with our original contractor. He verified that the change order was indeed necessary, and assisted us in determining a reasonable price.

Justin Lind and his crew did a fantastic job on our roof. He was in constant communication with us leading up to the project and after it was finished. They were very quick and extremely professional and did a wonderful job cleaning up after the project was finished. I highly recommend State Construction in Oregon City and wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

We needed a complete tear off of 4 layers and the crew cleaned everything up nicely.
