After a horrible experience with a roofer 2 years ago on my detached garage, I made sure to do my research when it came time to replace the roof on my house. Firstly, I checked with my State Farm Insurance agent and she recommended Square Construction based on the feedback she heard from mutual customers. I called Todd Mayes, the actual owner of the company. He is based in Dallas but works in several Texas locations. He put me in touch with Mark DeMay, his representative in Austin. Mark came to my house a few days later to inspect the job and gave me a bid, which turned out to be the lowest of 3 other bids I received from other roofing contractors. I appreciated not just the price but how thorough he checked out the job and even suggested less expensive alternatives rather than an upsell.

A few weeks later after getting our schedules to coincide, a team of 8 workers from Square Construction was on my roof by 7:00 a.m. including the supervisor, Patrick, who was actually on the roof with the crew. They worked non stop until 8:00 p.m. I watched carefully this time after the shoddy job on my garage where they put shingles on rotten wood. Square roofers did a great job using Level 3 shingles that even qualified for lower insurance premiums because of better hail protection. I was also impressed by the little details they did such as replacing my leaf guards when they they finished the roof, squirted hornet nests for me, relocated my old school tv antenna, and cleaned up so thoroughly that I found only 2 nails when I double checked the next day. Todd, the owner in Dallas, even stopped by to check on the job and took drone photos. Cool.

I totally recommend this Company. Price, quality work, completion in one day, complimentary details. They did it all.

What an awesome roofing company! The owners, Beau and Todd, did such a fantastic job helping me through each step of the process of getting my roof replaced. If I could, I would give them 10 stars! It can be overwhelming dealing with an insurance company. However, Beau and Todd helped walk me through my insurance claim which took the stress out of the whole process.

They provided samples of shingles and showed pictures of previous work so that I could make the best choice possible for the color of shingle and gutters. My roof is the best looking one on the street! These roofers are friendly, professional, and have high standards for all of their work. I know who to use the next time I have any roofing issues!

Excellent company. Todd is a very knowledgeable contractor that will go the distance for you. If you need a job done, this is the man to call. Todd's crew replaced our roof, gutters, and chimney after that last storm,..and I have to say, the whole thing is excellent. It is 10x better than before. He and his crew do not cut corners like our previous contractors. The whole experience was great. Todd is so down to earth and easy to work with. He will walk you through the whole process and explain everything. So again, this is the man to call.

Todd and the Square Construction team did a great job on our big, steep roof in Austin, Texas. Prices were in line, and the service was incredible. We especially liked the deal they got us on gutter replacement and upgrading to a class 4 roof. We just got a refund check that on our homeowners insurance bill that practically paid for the upgrade. Every question I asked was answered promptly and with full transparency whether in person, by text, by phone and/or by email. This is a 21st century roofing company, and I would strongly recommend them.

Square Construction did a great job managing the re-roof of my Austin TX home with class 4 hail resistant metal standing seam roof. Mark DeMay checked in every day to confirm status of the work and how the job was progressing. Metal roofing team did a great job installing the new roof - one neighbor commented our new roof is the envy of the neighborhood. Roof is much better than the shingle roof it replaced.

Square Construction did everything after we were hit with hail damage! They were very professional and made sure everything we needed done went seamlessly. Beau was our main contact and he kept us informed on everything and dealt directly with our insurance company State Farm. The work on our roof and patio cover looks really great. Impressed with Square Construction, LLC's Roof Repair Services

Square Construction, LLC recently replaced my house roof after a terrible hail storm that caused significant damage. Prior to hiring them, I had consulted with five different contractors, some of whom seemed promising while others did not leave a good impression. Initially, I had already decided to go with another contractor that appeared trustworthy. However, they lacked the initiative to thoroughly assess the damage and were unenthusiastic about negotiating with my insurance company. Due to the age of my roof (20 years), my insurance company offered a conservative repair reimbursement.

One day, Kevin Mayes from Square Construction, LLC knocked on my door, and although I was initially hesitant to engage with him, I decided to give him a chance. After speaking with Kevin for approximately ten minutes, I discovered that he was a genuinely sincere person. He treated the damage to my house as if it were his own, displaying a remarkable level of care. Kevin was not pushy, but he assured me that he would handle negotiations with the insurance company on my behalf. He also offered to upgrade my roofing to IR4 (Impact Resistance 4), the highest grade of roofing material available. This upgrade not only provided better protection but also qualified for a discount on my insurance premium. Additionally, Square Construction, LLC provided me with a comprehensive folder outlining instructions and what to expect during the repair process.

Square Construction, LLC is owned by Kevin's brother, Todd, and his partner, Beau. All of them possess numerous certifications in Roofing and Ventilation and maintain a good standing with the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. Furthermore, their workers are insured and bonded.

True to Kevin's word, a skilled crew promptly commenced the repairs. They executed a fantastic job, and apart from my insurance deductible, I did not have to pay anything extra. Kevin and his team handled all the negotiations with my insurance company, resulting in the installation of a new IR4 roof. They even replaced the Roof Turbines, despite the insurance not covering the cost. Kevin explained that the turbines, being 20 years old, needed replacement due to squeaking while turning. Throughout the repair process, Kevin and Todd visited the site multiple times to ensure everything was done correctly. They also enlisted subcontractors to replace my window seals, repair broken panes, and fix damage to the backyard fence. Moreover, the cleanup performed by Square Construction, LLC was exceptional. Kevin personally inspected the premises, using a large magnet to ensure no nails were left in the driveways that could potentially puncture my car tires.

I am extremely pleased that I had the opportunity to meet Kevin and I am thoroughly impressed with Square Construction, LLC's attitude and work ethic. I highly recommend their services for any roofing repairs you may require. Alongside this review, I have attached some pictures of the repaired roof for reference.

We recently had Square Construction put a new roof on our home. They did a very professional job, and we’re very pleased with the results. I worked mostly with Beau (Todd was just as professional), and what impressed me most besides the professional level of communications and his keeping me informed at all stages of the process was that Beau worked at my pace. I didn’t feel rushed or pushed along. I don’t enjoy working with people who wring their hands and snap their fingers and try to close the deal in 10 minutes, and then slap me on the back like we’ve known each other for 20 years. Beau was much more professional than that, and I would welcome the opportunity to work with him again in the future. Beau and Todd are awesome to work with. They worked with my insurance and followed up on a number of things the adjuster initially left off. Installation day went smoothly, and the additional items (new gutters and downspouts, restaining of my pergola and deck, as well as replacement of my pergola cover), were completed shortly afterwards. Class IV shingles resulted in a large discount on my homeowners insurance. I've already had compliments from my neighbors. I love my new roof!
