We used Spartan Emergency Water Removal for repairs from a tree falling on our shed and leaving major roof damage. The work they did was excellent and their project manager Steven was polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. Steven answered all our questions and returned any of our calls immediately. I’m appreciative of the Spartan crew working overnight after a pipe burst in my basement. They worked to dry everything out and prevent more damage. Shout out to Alex and Dom for answering all my questions and doing great work.

Terrible communication and is a middle man. I never received an update on repair status unless I contacted them directly. Now it's around a month later and they tell me that they can't find anyone to accept the bid on the estimate they provided me. This after requiring a large percentage down payment. Avoid this place and hire someone that does the actual work.

The Spartan packing team has been absolutely amazing! Led by Mario they were early, efficient, professional and very kind. They were as careful as they could possibly be with all of our belongings and made sure to wrap and pack everything securely. They were pleasant and willing to help
With any requests that we made regarding how to manage or handle our furniture. In sort they were absolutely wonderful

The crews did a fine service, including Alex and Brian. The only aberration was the big dehumidifier being left here running for much longer than needed.

Brittany and her team were spectacular. They provided me updates and answered all my questions. They were also very accommodating to our needs. I truly felt like they cared about our situation.

We had Spartan remediate after my upstairs neighbor's toilet was leaking through our ceiling. A huge shout out to Hamonii who managed our account and was so kind and responsive. There was a lot of back and forth with multiple insurance companies, and she demonstrated perseverance and professionalism through it all.

Drivers as representatives of the company should be following and obaying traffic LAWS. Turn signals are required by law. If the drivers can't even do that, how can they be trusted with their workmanship?

Very Impressed with Victor and Bill, they are stand up guys and do a wonderful job. Highly recommend them for area rug cleaning. My rug is white but I have 2 large dogs and obviously they lay on the rug and their oils transfer to the rug. They made it right! Appreciate them so much. Will be using them again next year !

Bill and Victor did an excellent job helping to prepare my home for sale. Victor’s communication was excellent to ensure expectations were met and arrival time was understood.

They were also considerate of other parts of the home that needed protection. They worked deliberately and were thoughtful enough to adjust the ceiling fan speeds for maximize drying time.

I highly recommend Spartan!! I've relied on them several times, the latest to remove cat urine stains/smell from 2 carpets & thick (read: expensive) padding. Victor & Bill did an AMAZING job! They are prompt, courteous, pleasant & professional. Took the carpets to the shop for absolute "rescue" cleaning & put them back into place. They also cleaned some area carpets and furniture. I'd give 10 stars if I could! You won't be disappointed by Bill, Victor & Spartan.

I had a vehicle crash into the back of my house March of 2024. The initial impression was good, but when it came to the work, it was very disappointing. I ended up having to do a lot of the clean up and had been in communication with Spartan waiting on a decision regarding payment since I did a lot of the work. A year later I get a call and email indicating I need to pay , if I don’t they’re sending me to collections and would take legal action over $2,400. I told them I had been in touch waiting for a decision. They didn’t care and I had to pay. I had emails and photos backing my claims, didn’t matter, and they didn’t respond even after I made the payment. Save yourself the trouble and headache and find a company that is fair.

Everyone that we encountered from Sparten was great. I highly recommend you using them because not only do they do a really good job, they go above and beyond on the little things. Lydia, who helped to arrange for everything in the first place, when she came out to do the final walk-through, not only did she inspect everything, but she also helped to get my lawnmower out of the ditch, and she fixed my rosary for me. It needed younger eyes! Carlos did an amazing job laying the ceramic tile in the bathroom along with new baseboard and quarter round, and Fernando did a wonderful job putting up the new wall board in the basement stairwell, painting what needed painting, and a little bit more, and cleaned everything up. Highly recommend them all!

My experience with this company was nothing short of frustrating, stressful, and deeply disappointing. While their subcontractor’s workmanship was acceptable, the business acumen, ethics, and operational standards of Spartan were outright horrific.
Where Spartan Failed Me:
Incomplete Work & Financial Burden: Though some work was done, the job was never fully completed. I had to personally cover additional costs to finish it—without any offer of reimbursement, further increasing my financial burden.
Poor Professionalism & Mismanagement: Throughout a seven-month ordeal, I was assigned three different project managers and two estimators. With each personnel change, timelines were disrupted, documentation was lost or inaccurate, and the entire project had to be restarted. In addition, samples of materials from my home went missing or were never returned.
Constant Delays & Logistical Failures: Scheduled meetings or deliveries were frequently canceled, and Spartan representatives often arrived hours late. When materials were delivered, they were incorrect, leading to more delays. On two occasions, I personally had to assist in unloading and loading materials due to a lack of staff or laborers—a glaring failure in basic project management.
Communication Breakdown & Lack of Accountability: Repeated concerns were ignored, and at no point was I given the opportunity to escalate my complaints to higher leadership, leaving me with no clear path to resolution.
Dishonest Business Practices: Their lack of transparency created a business relationship built on distrust and neglect. Spartan failed to provide reliable service or honor basic customer trust.
Financial Mismanagement & False Invoicing: On numerous occasions, I personally audited their invoices submitted to my insurance company—uncovering false or inaccurate estimates and fees. This blatant misrepresentation raises serious ethical concerns about how Spartan conducts its financial operations.
The Most Painful Betrayal—Their Veteran-Owned Claim
Spartan Emergency Water Removal proudly advertises itself as a veteran-owned and operated business. This was the primary reason I chose them, believing they would uphold integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to service. As a disabled veteran, I expected a company that honored these values.
Instead, Spartan showed me exactly how little they care about supporting their fellow veterans. Their failure to operate with integrity, neglectful business practices, and complete disregard for ethical customer treatment speak volumes about their business model.
Final Thoughts
Selecting Spartan Emergency Water Removal was one of the biggest business mistakes I have ever made, and I deeply regret placing my trust in a company that operates with such blatant disregard for its clients. I called what is formerly Heaven's Best Carpet Cleaning, a subsidy of Spartan, and Victor and Bill came out to service my home for my annual carpet and upholstery cleaning. I wanted to try a local business so Yelp brought me to this company. I was most impressed with the responsiveness I received from this group. When I reached out and Victor answered after hours, he found time to squeeze me in last minute and showed up early to the appointment. He was overly communicative (letting me know when he was on his way, his ETA, etc.) and as a new client, I really appreciate the level of customer care that I received from Victor before he even arrived to my house. He treated me like VIP! The icing on the cake is that they actually do AMAZING work! My carpets and furniture look brand new. My house smells even better. And I attribute that to the cleanliness of my carpets. And, and, AND - they finished the work in record timing. I will be requesting and recommending Victor and Bill for future needs. THANKS GUYS!!

Spartan did a great job taking care of my flooded kitchen and basement damage. Very efficient, hardworking and Courteous.they made my disaster more bearable to deal with with them on the job!

We had Spartan do two different jobs for us. The first was amazing. We had a pipe burst which required almost a full rebuild of our basement. They dried everything out really quickly, very responsive and quick with the clean up and the rebuild was very fast and looked fantastic. Blake was excellent to work with on our contents pack up and return. The second was a disaster. We had a separate, unrelated leak of our hvac into the bathroom. The PM said it would be done in one day. The crew they sent out used tools, broom and dustpan we had sitting in our basement without asking then left drywall and plaster all over them. They left plaster stuck to the floor and insulation in our yard. They did not attach the toilet, they only caulked it to the ground. As soon as someone sat on it, it started wobbling. They also had to come back out a second day as it wasn't drying fast enough but they didn't use the fans the PM said they would use to ensure. it would be done in one day. They only came back out the second day because I called the PM, they told him it was done. After following up regarding all of the issues, the PM became non responsive and I had to reach out to the office staff. They did get someone out to fix the toilet but it took almost 2 weeks from when the job was "finished" and they never replaced our our items that were covered in plaster. Truly unfortunate that such a small job created such a bad experience, when the first job went so well

Spartan has been absolutely wonderful to work with. Everyone has been very courteous and they all take time to explain what they are doing and answer any questions thoroughly. Richard and his team have spent 3 days in our home carefully removing the water damaged interior and drying out our affected areas, and have been amazing. We are so thankful that we have them and this company helping us with our loss due to a tree falling on our home. They all take into consideration the emotions that homeowners have after such a loss and have expressed compassion along the way. If you ever find yourself in a situation that requires their services, you will not be let down.

Spartan has been great to work with. They were available right away to help with our water mitigation and worked directly with our insurance company to make the process straightforward. Everyone involved from the office to our initial inspector (I’m unfortunately forgetting his name) to Brian Coneys and Cesar Mejia who completed our mitigation and drying were friendly, knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with.

This is our second time using Spartan, and they make what is not a fun process as painless as possible. I appreciate that they take care of all of the remediation as well as the rebuilding process. Everyone was great to work with, and Isaiah, my project manager, was very prompt and thorough. I would definitely use them again, though I hope that I don't have to.

We are still in the middle of our restoration, but Spartan has been so helpful! Today Martin and Boomer spent 8 hours doing demo work, and they did a fantastic job containing the mess and cleaning up after themselves. They were friendly and let us know what was going on. They even chatted with my curious kids who wanted to watch.

Edited to add: the company has two divisions- the mitigation team who came quickly and got everything dried out, which is who I reviewed above. I stand by my review of them. However, we then worked with the reconstruction place to get everything fixed and back in place and have had problem after problem. I will add a review for that part of the business when it is finished.

Victor and Bill of their carpet cleaning division did a great job cleaning the carpets after damage from a fallen tree.

This experience began with an unexpected leak which followed an unexpected leak! Two in one year is overwhelming. However, in both instances we have encountered amazing people to help us figure out what to do to remedy the situation. This particular leak required asbestos abatement in a bedroom in order to make the necessary repairs. Conversations with Amanda and Xolomon eased my concerns. They gave me a detailed list of everything to take place. I always ask lots of questions and they were very patient with me! This is a company I will call again for help to determine how to get my house back to being liveable and meet some incredible people as an added benefit!

Grant & Tim did a great job cleaning the damage caused by moisture damage. They were pleasant and efficient. Several days later Chris came out to check the moisture levels of the affected area and was able to remove all of the fans. The Spartan team is organized and efficient. They even came out to do the walk through with the claims adjuster. Highly recommend.

This company is so responsive and helpful and they guided us through Mitigation of our basement flood so well. I worked with Rebecca through a lot of my questions and payment. I’m dealing with my insurance and mortgage company and she was an incredible help throughout the whole thing!!!

Spartan worked incredibly hard to get my mother's bathroom fixed. They had to completely remove and replace the entire floor as well as remove the soil affected by the leaking toilet. They were very professional and very kind throughout the entire process. Hamonii worked incredibly hard to get the demolition and water removal done quickly and coordinated with the Restoration folks to get things scheduled as soon as possible. Lidia led the restoration and worked just as hard to get the bathroom put back together and usable for my mom. I highly recommend Spartan to anyone needing water removal for any reason including broken fixtures.

I had water damage as a result of pinhole leaks in copper tubing, going into my hot water heater and flooded the basement and been leaking for sometime before it was discovered and did quite a bit of damage. Eventually, you got the water shut off in the first people I called Spartan. This is my second time I’ve had to use them and they’ve been awesome as always. I would recommend them to anybody when it comes to water damage and remediation

The experience started off strong but quickly slowed down due to what seemed like an inefficient workflow and lack of attention to detail. The initial mitigation team was quick to respond and handled the affected areas promptly, but after that, things dragged on. We encountered several delays, many of which were caused by poor internal communication and oversight within Spartan.

One example: after the estimator came out, we had to wait two weeks before a project manager was even assigned to start discussing the rebuild. They claimed the delay was due to needing flooring samples tested for proper pricing guidance, but there was no explanation for why we couldn’t begin working with a project manager while the testing was being done. To make matters worse, we later found out the flooring had never been sent for testing.

That was just one of several delays, most of which seemed to stem from the initial estimator process. Another example: a month later, we waited two more weeks for an approval that our insurance had already signed off on. The entire process felt disorganized and frustrating.

The Spartan staff was professional, and the work itself was mostly of good quality. However, it feels like the company is stretched too thin, trying to handle everything from mitigation to estimating and rebuilding. Until they improve their internal processes, I’d recommend Spartan for mitigation work, but I’d look elsewhere for the rebuild phase. I wish we had done that ourselves.

In January we had a sewer backup in the basement. Spartan Restoration had a crew out to remediate and clean up that evening. They’ve helped us every step of the way, including reconstruction. We are very impressed with their communication, professionalism and quality work. Highly recommend.

My experience with Spartan was great. Admittedly, it started off slow...had some minor communication issues but it was quickly turned around. The representative (Steve) i dealt with was great. Very polite, apologetic, and put you at ease. I would definitely recommend them and shout out to Steve took care of all my needs and answered all my questions. Good guy.

Stay far away from Spartan. We used Spartan b/c USAA partnered with them and were veteran owned. However Spartan subcontracted and no how many times we texted our Spartan rep, he just kept apologizing for not being able to be there and we had to deal with subcontractor. They did not know what they were doing and some times it seemed like teenier in our home working, they ripped out our floors and left all the staples sticking up over a weekend - we have 3 kids and 3 dogs at home! They left buckets of goopy water at night and we'd find them cause our dogs started drinking from them. They left a mess in our yard and tore up our driveway. They said they only cleaned up at the end of the project meanwhile we had to live in their mess for months. They would send crew and tell us to let them know what to do - no project manager at all. My husband and I both work and would have to take out time to oversee the workers. They didn't seem to know what they needed to do despite a 20+ page USSA document with pictures. They needed the flooring to get accustomed to our house temp/humidity before it could be installed but then left it in the garage. They tore up all our flooring and then we had sub-flooring for months - they didn't make sure we had the new ready first. They did not put the furniture back where it was supposed to go and kept asking us when we were trying to work - what were all the pictures for?

Spartan was on time, respectful of our property, and very willing to listen to our concerns. We are very pleased with their work to date.

In the beginning Alex took his time an explained to my elderly parents set by set how the process would go, DJ with pack out was absolutely wonderful, his team packed away everything with care and answered any questions my parents would have about there personal items. We will never work with Spartan again. It took 5.5 months to do our renovations after our toilet flooded. The project manager never knew when or how things would be happening. He also told the contractors to just paint over a spot that was obviously water damaged rather than repairing it first. The wrong flooring was delivered and stayed in our basement for months. It took two weeks to get someone to pick up the storage unit after the projects were completed. The stories could go on and on…

My sump pump recently expired and I found that water had reached the entire basement of our home. At the suggestion of my plumber, Spartan Emergency Water Removal was contacted and immediately responded to my residence. They helped me file a claim with my insurance company, had a large POD delivered to my driveway and a crew led by D.J. Faison (Project Manager) and consisting of Blake, Mario, Ben and Cedon were truly outstanding as they emptied my basement and carefully placed all effected storage bins into the POD. They were most generous allowing us time to sort through needed materials that needed to be returned to the basement. When were finished purging any unnecessary materials, the aforementioned crew returned and moved all articles from the POD back into our basement ensuring the most efficient use of storage space while protecting our most precious Christmas decorations. Before leaving, they called for the removal of the POD and provided us with a detailed account of their actions.
