We had a great experience with Spane and would highly recommend them (and we have) to anyone that's looking to build a barn of some type. With Spane's help, we designed a 25'x50' pole barn that has a 20'x25' apartment at one end. Jaa and the crew started right after Thanksgiving and were finished in mid-January. We had some very minor issues and Jim addressed them promptly.

We had a barn re-roof done over two years. Very professional crew, barn looks great, no leaks and the new SUNSKY® panels let in a ton of light.

Spane built my indoor riding arena in 2006 and I've been very pleased with the results ever since. The building features horse stalls, a hayloft, an office/apartment, workshop, and garage. Spane introduced me to previous customers so that I could customize my building with numerous special features. The final construction has provided a well built and impressively strong structure that has been enjoyed by family, friends and many visitors. I found Spane to be very easy to work with and would highly recommend them.

We want to commend Spane Buildings, Inc. for the excellent job they did on our carport. They were true professionals all they way down the line, from Michelle in the office who helped set up the job to Roberto and his crew who arrived on time and did the actual hands-on construction, JJ who meticulously cleaned up the jobsite even picking up splinters by hand, and the concrete work done by Jason and Robert who took great care not to damage any plantings or landscaping. We will certainly call Spane again for any further building projects, and recommend them most highly to anyone needing quality work.

Spane Buildings finished off a hangar for my in Stanwood and I was super impressed with the finished product. Sure there were bumps along the way and issues we ran into (as with all complex projects) but Spane negotiated reasonably and always made sure we made the right choice.

We hired Spane to build our pole building this year. It was nothing but a wonderful experience from start to finish. Jim, Maddy, Michelle, Cuco, Jeff, and everyone else has been amazing to work with! Spane did a wonderful job on our smaller three stall barn with tack room, storage, and tack stall. Our entire project was completed during Covid so we had to deal with materials shortages, worker shortages, and all of the complexity of building during a pandemic but we still had a great experience due to Spane's excellent and up front communications. Spane took a lot of stress out of a difficult situation and were professionals from day one. I would highly recommend Spane!

I have used Spane twice now. They built a 400sf garage last year, and did a re-roof on my biggest garage this years well as a new shed roof that attaches to that building. Jim Spane has been easy to work with. Prices, while not cheap, are worth the money as they have been very well built projects. All of his people have been great. Easy to communicate with, and very professional. I will certainly call them for future projects.

The people at Spane Building LLC are great to work with. Ours was a small job but tricky. We wanted a polycarbonate roof ove an existing deck that complimented the existing architecture and could withstand the high winds of our location. They gave us a lot of personal attention from the simple but elegant design solution to the prompt and tidy construction. Both office and on-site personnel were polite and helpful. Watching the rafters and purlins go up was pretty exciting. I highly recommend this company.

At end of 2019, explored three different companies to build a detached 24x48 garage on my property. Chose Spane (pole buildings) because: Cost was "in the middle"; informative face-to-face visit with owner and designer; Spane has been in business for decades; design choices made easier by helpful Spane staff. After my DIY demo of old building, Spane advised on build process for new garage. I arranged for site prep (Spane list of excavators), exterior painting, and electrical. Spane did the rest: Building, concrete, gutters, doors and windows. Build process: 4/30/20 - site prep complete. 5/22 - Poles set. 6/16 - Building complete. 7/16 - concrete complete. 9/4 - Garage doors installed. Time-line was extended due to, I believe, COVID-19, plus some office communication issues which, I'm told, Spane has corrected going forward. Overall, a nice new building which fits in with its surroundings and which will serve well for many decades. Many Thanks!!

I received a quote based on photos for a roof replacement. Once agreed they came right out to verify information so materials could be ordered. They completed the work the following week as requested and agreed. Not much of anything they could do better. Everyone else wanted to sell me something I did not want for a lot more.

We are very pleased with work experience with your subcontractors. Especially the garage doors. Mario came on the Labor day to start the job day earlier.

I had Spane Buildings give me a quote on residing my existing pole building. They gave me the lowest quote and were able to start and complete the job sooner than anyone else. I am very pleased at the outcome. The crew was very professional. They showed up to work on time every day. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure my shop building got closed up before they left. I simply couldn't ask for better service. My shop looks so beautiful now.

I have dealt with a few builders/contractors in the past and they have not impressed me much. I was looking around trying to find a builder to build me a Pole Building. I got a bid from a builder from the south but I wasn't sure how good they are. Fortunately my excavator was telling me about Spane Buildings in Mt Vernon that all his customers he has dealt with are very pleased with their work and excellent customer service. I was skeptical at first based on my past experience with other contractors. Long story short I contacted Spane's office and Jim Spane invited me to go with him to see his work in the area. He took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. No pressure. I liked what I saw and decided to give Spane a try. His office worked with me to get what I wanted at a competitive price. At the end I'm really pleased with the outcome and thanked my excavator for telling me about Spane. You can call his office about any issue and they will be right on it. I damaged a trim on my door. I told his office what happened and asked for an estimate. A few hours later his office contacted me saying Jim Spane will take care of it at no charge. I was speechless. If you are looking for an ethical builder give Spane a try you won't regret it. Their customer service is top notch.

I really enjoyed the process. Spane Building clearly knows their business and has their process nailed down. I was constantly impressed with the workers and contractors used by Spane to build my project. I would like to call out Roberto and his framing crew were, along with Jason and his concrete crew for their excellent work and helpful and patient attitudes toward me... a very curious customer! I have at least 3-5 people a day stop as they walk by to tell me how great my new building looks and they can't believe it's a pole building. I am very proud of the building you have built for me! Construction was only 7 weeks from ground breaking to the final inspection... Very Impressive! :)

Spane Building Inc. just finished a 952 square foot garage/shop pole building and all of my interactions with Spane were pleasant and professional.
We got a bid from another pole building company that cost less initially but once the plan was upgraded to the spec I wanted, the cost was higher than Spane's bid.
They assisted with the design and permitting as an included part of project. All of the materials used in the building were high quality. The subcontractors,(cement, gutters, overhead doors) Spane used were all excellent.
Everything about the building and process was as good or better than I expected.
I give Spane Building Inc. the highest recommendation, I could not be happier with the outcome.

Thank you Spane from Jim and Lisa on Whidbey island! We didn't know Spane when we first bought property and knew we were going to build a big shop and a barn for our horses. We almost went with Morton, but the more I read reviews, I was hesitant despite how good looking their buildings are. I then focused on finding the best builder locally and came across Spane's website. We then scheduled an initial meeting. I am so glad we did. It was great seeing how we could basically design it with Doug....pick out roofing, siding, windows, doors, trim , color scheme, etc. Fun! Then they we're great taking it from there with the engineering and provided us with a set of plans to submit for permitting. The permit office was like....oh, this is a Spane building, and practically stamped it right there. It flew through permitting without a hitch. Then, they took off! Rigo and his crew were just as you'd hope. Clean, thoughtful, respectful, helpful, very hard-working, fast and very proficient.it was a great experience all the way around and I only wish I could have them build my house. I was nervous going into it, but having been through it, I will say you are in good hands if you choose Spane.

We had an RV garage building built recently. The whole experience was a good one. The quality of the building was even better than we had envisioned. The building crew was very proficient and a pleasure to be around. Jim Spane kept the work going even while keeping other customers needs met. While one crew was finishing our walls, a second crew came and installed the roofing. This was followed by a very professional concrete flooring crew. All topped off by the garage door installer who worked until 9 pm to be sure to get the job done. This may sound like a paid endorsement, but truly my wife Kathy had already written a letter to Spane Buildings, expressing our thanks to all the individuals that worked on our project. I had never seen a post built building before our garage was built by Spane Buildings. I have to say the garage is better than I could have ever hoped for and I love the sturdiness of the garage. Spane built a 24,000 square foot shop with 19' ceilings for a part mezzanine. I just can't say enough about the quality of the construction of this project. Even the framing lumber used to build the mezzanine and interior walls was better quality than you will see at the local big box store. We couldn't be happier with our shop and would highly recommend them for your project.
