Geddy (salesman) did an excellent job, helping me identify my need to purchase new outside doors. He coordinated and facilitated the installation processing. Daue Ahm and his assistant installed the outside doors, they were committed and dedicated. They placed tarps inside and outside to catch any falling debris. They arrived on time, installed the doors and cleaned the area. The painter also did an excellent job.

The entire team was polite, knowledgeable, and professional as they answered endless questions. Their attention to detail was very impressive. It is employee’s like them that really make a difference and I can truly say that I would recommend your company to anyone. They provided excellent service and I would also like to give them accolades for their customer service skills too.

We chose southern wood for our new entry door and couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Our salesperson was Andrew who provided us a knowledgeable no pressure presentation with so many options. The installers came and left and other than the noise (not that bad) you would not have known they were there. Their work was perfect and every piece of dirt cleaned afterward. Let me say at the outset that these folks will NOT try to convince you to commit insurance fraud like some of the roofing companies that knock on your door.
A personal business philosophy I have is I never hire a company that knocks on my door, regardless of what they are offering.
Sothernwood doesn't do that.
Our roof had reached the manufactures "end of life" of 25 years.
Why wait for a failure so it was time.
I did the research, liked what I saw with Southernwood.
The estimate was in the middle of with quotes, but more importantly they listened and understood what I wanted.
They did not try to upsell us or sell us something we didn't need.
Andrew, the sales engineer, was the best.
We have solar on the roof, both thermal and PV, and Southernwood was very flexible in regard to the time frame to get those removed.
Their team came on the appointed day on time and were very friendly, efficient and accommodating. They were done by ~2pm, and cleaned everything to the point you never knew they were here.
I wish I could give more stars.

We had a GREAT experience with Southernwood Roofing & Siding, LLC in 2024! We bypassed a random company who was canvassing the neighborhood, and selected Southernwood - a local company who uses an experienced crew (that is known to them), and has a great reputation. Also important was knowing that Southernwood has a local office and that we would be able to find/contact them (if necessary) after the job was completed.

Our first experience with Kate, who fielded our call and answered many questions, started the adventure with positivity. Next was our roof inspector and estimator, Geddy Fuller – who was fantastic! He conducted a thorough assessment of the roof/exterior of our home to provide an accurate, competitive quote. He made recommendations when we asked, and was very patient as he guided us through the process. He met our insurance adjuster at the home to answer any questions they had, which helped moved the process along quickly. There were zero high pressure sales tactics, and zero gimmicks – a breath of fresh air!

The company was well represented, the paperwork process smooth, and also important to us - the quote was competitive and reasonably priced.

We next visited the show room in La Plata, MD which had material samples and colors available for us to review and compare on site. The offices are laid out nicely with many items displayed around the room so you can see the actual colors in person, not just view on a computer screen or in a book.
Next was Kirsten, the scheduler, who patiently worked with us to establish a date for install while taking into consideration the weather, our schedule and their schedule.

The material arrived on time and the job was completed on the scheduled day! The area was cleaned well afterwards and our property was treated with care.

The follow up care we received was also a breath of fresh air – they checked to be sure we were satisfied with the work which included shutters, gutters, fascia board, and other items that helped bring our home up to date, all priced well and of good quality. We received our warranty information to file – and in our case it is transferrable if we decide to sell our home – what a value-added bonus!

Overall, Southernwood Roofing and Siding offers a wide range of quality products for roofing and siding, combined with competitive pricing, and an experienced installation crew. He worked with our insurance company to insure they had all the information needed for our claim. He was always available by phone to answer our questions, even on weekends. This is our second time working with Southernwood. They replaced our roof in 2020. We were very satisfied with that service. This time we needed our entire soffit at the front of our house replaced due to a carpenter bee infestation and rot. Our salesman, Noah Zeitler also recommended replacing some rotten additional trim at the front of the house. The whole team from the secretary, salesman, Forman and installers were polite, attentive, communicative about delivery of supplies and installation date. We are so happy with the results. The work was completed in one afternoon and it looks amazing!

Recently had windows on lower level of house replaced, very professional on all stages of process. Initial quote was fair and well detailed to highlight the value of the options they proposed. Was kept apprised of all stages of project from ordering, shipping of materials, and install. Completed installation in one day, this included making repairs to headers and other structural damage from the old windows. They also created custom flashing that looks better than what was there before! Very happy with entire process. Would recommend to anyone for window work. Will use them again in future for additional work on windows and doors!

My roof had damage from a heavy snow storm in January 2022. I called Southernwood and they sent an expert to evaluate the damage right away which I really appreciated since there were holes in my roof. The expert came out, went up on the snow covered roof, and then came back the same day to install temporary patches. After reaching agreement with my insurance company, I chose Southernwood to replace the roof. The Southernwood representative made several visits to my house to bring samples, look at the roof, and answer questions. He was very knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the job. He did a great job of working with the insurance company, providing documentation to them and keeping me informed. He kept track of all aspects of our claim and was able to file for additional items that the insurance company did not include. This resulted in an increase to my settlement. I am very pleased with the end result. The new roof is beautiful and the installation is much better than the previous roof. The customer support from Southernwood is outstanding.

The service was to complete total siding replacement of entire home. The sales person Cody, was great to work with, we had met with several other companies that were extremely pushy and we didn't like them at all. And we felt that their quotes were extremely high. With Southernwood the work was done earlier than expected. It was put on quickly and the crew was nice and careful about my flowers. Excellent job done! I have been using Southernwood’s services since January 2021. They installed siding on my entire home and repaired my roof due to storm damage. They did such an amazing job, I had them install two sliding glass doors. Their services don’t disappoint! I will, definitely, utilize their services for any future job!!! Southernwood to the rescue. A tree fell on my house from a storm. Southernwood was out to install a tarp to prevent further damage. Then was able to finish all repairs within 2 weeks. Amazing!!
