Max and SE restoration started to work on my flooded basement. We are in the early stages of the restoration but so far they have been a great job.

I wanted to give more stars, but the max was 5…I worked with Marty Jacobs and his team. They were reliable and honest. Something you don’t see in companies these days. Thanks again!

David Rodriguez and Angel were the BEST! They took care of ALL of the emergency cleaning and sealing off the burned area after the fire. They were exceptionally kind, caring , and understanding of all of our concerns. We loved and appreciated all of their services! I would definitely recommend these guys!

**UPDATE** Two weeks later and SE Restoration will not finish the job due to being out of area. Never mentioned this upfront, even said three times, they would be in touch to complete the job. Tore down the bathroom and now will not come back to complete it by putting the bathroom back together. At the start of this job, they even mentioned being able to do other jobs so this makes no sense unless they were just trying to get the initial job. We are down an entire bathroom for a family of five thanks to the unreliability of this company. I would give a zero star if it was an option. This is beyond terribly inconvenient and completely absurd. Who starts a job and doesn’t finish it? Also, SE Restoration, your response to my initial review stated one of your core values is to “leave it better than you found it”. Is this upholding your core belief? Please make this right. And quickly.

The Southeast Restoration crew exceeded my expectations. They replaced the carpeting in the master suite and hallway, and Raul and his team were very courteous, professional, respectful and careful with my furniture and personal belongings. After the carpeting was installed and inspected, they placed every piece of furniture and framed art, etc. back exactly how it was. They went the extra mile for me by cleaning off all of the furniture and art (the backs were dusty) before moving it back into the bedroom. They always took their shoes off when entering my house. Great group of people! I highly recommend them.

What a great experience we recently had with Southeast Restoration! A water leak led to big problems in our kitchen and basement. As soon as the estimator arrived, I quickly realized our problem was going to be taken care of in a timely manner.
When Jarred Kinder, our project manager, & his team showed up, a plan was made and the work began. Everything was done professionally & all of my concerns were addressed promptly. These guys were awesome. The finished work is good (better!) than before.
It's not often I go online in support of a company but Southeast Restoration earned & deserves recognition for a job well done!

Very happy with the service we received. Starting with Jeff in mitigation. He worked long hours to get the job done and did a great job. Ian was great estimator and kept in contact with insurance appraiser and helped move things along. Jimmy our contractor was awesome. We had major water damage and repairs which was very stressful. He was extremely patient with us during the process and guided us through. He kept in communication with us every step of the way. He always kept his cool and rectified any issues that popped up. He was a calming presence and it felt like he was working for our best interest which was reassuring. He went above and beyond on numerous occasions.

Southeastern is a jewel of a find. The main floor of my home flooded and all my flooring and baseboards had to be replaced. Southeastern made it easy to get an estimate. The estimator, Dave, explained things well and advocated for me with the insurance company when a large item was missed in the estimate. Jarrad and Matt and the rest of the crew did a fantastic job reconstructing my home. The work is literally flawless. I am so pleased and I would recommend them to anyone! And one additional point. I read the reviews online, including the bad reviews and decided to trust my gut and my co-workers whom I trust. I'm so glad I did. I can't believe the bad reviews are for the same company because my experience has as been absolutely wonderful and stress free.

My water heater broke and caused water damage in the laundry room and kitchen. Southeast Restoration handled the Water Mitigation portion of my insurance claim for the damage done to my home.

I can't say enough good things about this company. They are a cut FAR ABOVE the rest. I literally did not have to do anything except file the claim with the insurance company. THAT'S IT. Everything that followed was handled by Southeast Restoration and USAA making a STRESS FREE scenario for a situation that I expected to be very stressful.

EVERYONE is so very professional - from the mitigation coordinator to the mitigation project manager and everyone in-between. They show up at the job-site on time. If they are running a little behind, they will call. There is CONSTANT COMMUNICATION between you, the mitigation coordinator, the mitigation team handling the drying out process and the mitigation project manager.

With Southeast Restoration, the left hand knows what the right hand is doing! They don't try to fast talk you or throw a bunch a business lingo that you don't understand - to confuse you. They explain things very clearly to ensure you understand EVERY step of the process. It can be overwhelming when your home is damaged. The last thing you need is to deal with a shady or predatory company. YOU CAN TRUST SOUTHEAST RESTORATION. And that statement is coming from someone who has serious trust issues with these types of companies.

From the moment that I called Southeast Restoration they never missed a step. They know and understand what REAL PROFESSIONAL customer service looks like. After one week, I was telling everyone and anyone who would listen about how wonderful this experience had been. They even put back my washer and dryer after the water mitigation step was completed so I could get some laundry done before repairs began.

I work from home most days of the week and they worked around my conference calls - being quiet when I needed it most or just worked around my schedule. EVERYDAY, they called to make sure the time they planned to come out to the job-site worked around MY SCHEDULE. AMAZING!

During the drying out process, it was discovered that asbestos was under my kitchen flooring. Southeast Restoration coordinated with the Environmental company to remove the asbestos and then they came out after the work was done to complete the drying out process. EVERYTHING was coordinated and seamless.

Southeast Restoration worked efficiently and was thorough from start to finish. If you are looking for a company who will follow through with EVERYTHING they tell you they will do, Southeast Restoration is that company! EVERY DAY, I either got a call or visit from them to work on the project or communicate the next step. NOT ONCE did they backed off from the high service they gave from the start.

Most companies will make every promise in the book to get you to sign on the dotted line - but after you sign, that's when your troubles begin. If you have elderly parents that need work done on their home, or if you are single and worry about being take advantage of by shady or predatory companies, or if you just want a company who will treat your home with the same care they would their own...then Southeast Restoration is the company you should reach out. I wouldn't trust anyone else nor would I recommend anyone else. THEY ARE WELL WORTH EVERY PENNEY.

Southeast saved our basement! Our hot water heater valve failed and Southeast put the basement back together better than before (and we had just renovated 6 months prior!) I cannot say enough good things about Jarrad, Matt and everyone I’ve encountered with the Southeast team. We are so thankful!

Our water heater drain plug popped in our basement. The water ran all night long while we were asleep. I found Southeast Restoration in Canton Ga. They came highly recommended. I made the call around 830. Thanks to Lynn ,Laurie, and David responding for getting here in less than 2 hours. The had all of the waster, ruined flooring, and base molding out that afternoon. They had fans and dehumidifiers in place and running immediately.
They got it all done with one call and kept us up to date through the entire process. They are a one stop ship and will be replacing all of the drywall and base molding as well.

Great experience. Tripp, the project manager was awesome. He communicated with me everyday and gave a step by step of what to expect. His team was very professional and completed the repairs timely manner.

Southeast Restoration was hired to repair the ceiling in our master bedroom and paint the walls. Not one time did the supervisor, Rauol, come to our house to oversee the job. Rauol says he is overworked and has too many projects to supervise. 18 projects! The workers did not complete the ceiling or the walls and left dust and debris all over the room. They left bags of toxic waste in front of my home that I would like removed immediately. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should workers leave piles of garbage and toxic waste at your front door and just leave. Raoul is a mean disrespectful misogynist. He is everything women hate about dealing with these types of companies. I would encourage you to look elsewhere for good work and good service.

Southeast Restoration were very professional and did a great job at restoring our home after a washing machine flooded our home. They were professional and on time and also answered any questions we had. I would recommend this company.

I had a water heater break and I had some damage to ceiling, walls and carpet. Everyone from Southeast Restoration was polite and very professional. It’s hard having people in and out of your house but this crew made it so much easier. My house looks like it never happened. I would definitely choose them again.

Matthew Holmes was wonderful to work with. Organized, great communication and timely in handling any questions or concerns I had. And very patient with my pace for making product decisions .

Short story — Don’t hire them for any design changes. Stick to straight up repairs.

Long story — We had a mold remediation issue that turned out to be huge and traumatic. Southeast came in after the three other contractors were involved in resolving the issues. The first job we had them do was insulation, drywall, picture box trim, and paint. This was done fine. Work was fast (a little sloppy according to my husband so be sure to check the work).

Second project was building out the fireplace surround. We went through three cabinet makers with Southeast before we even got to start: one retired, one had a medical issue, and one did poor work elsewhere and they didn’t want us to use them. They offered their painter as alternative as he did carpentry work outside of their jobs. Since we’d gone through the process of calling and getting no answer back, contractors not showing up at all, and just generally were exhausted and traumatized from all the repairs we agreed to try. They quoted ~11,000 for the work.

We sketched ideas similar to what we had talked about with the other cabinet makers, and I asked for help trying to make it fit the space properly and wanted suggestions and guidance. In the middle of the project, it was apparent that the quality was not what we expected. The wood for the cabinets was rough sande ply and the cabinet inserts and shelves were sort of tilted and uneven. The mantel was made wider than it should have so the doors were cut down to where they just barely covered the cabinet holes and were offset (and the drawers were going to be made the same, which should have been weird and offset from the open cabinet space above.) It also felt off size wise and didn’t have any dimension. I cried for hours when I knew I had to call and tell them not to finish it.

I knew that we had used time and materials on our project so I inventoried everything that had been used and the crew and time they had been there. I estimated that even if I padded the amount for management and overhead, our 5,600 deposit would fairly cover what had been done compared with what was left.

I asked the manager to come and look at what was done. His response was that we never asked for nice wood, and that it was going to look beautiful, but I didn’t have the imagination to envision it. He insisted that we owed ~9,000 of the estimate for stopping the job early (which meant another 3,400 we’d have to send). He only negotiated 1,000 off of that.

We hired a designer and found a new contractor who removed the work done by Southeast. Funny enough, this was also an 11,000 estimate and they used nice birch and made really nice drawers.

I had a super experience. Everything went smoothly and I had plenty of communication with status updates. The tradespeople (demo, plumbing, tile, painting) were great. I would definitely recommend.

Southeastern did a fantastic job on our flooded house from a back up. The team that estimated and completed the rehab were easy to work with and very communicative.

Two huge trees came down in my backyard on Saturday morning, the 4th of May. By the following Monday afternoon, Southeast Restoration of North Georgia had a crew at my house to assess damage and formulate a plan to remove the trees and repair/replace my downed fence. The problem was how to contain my dogs once the trees were removed and my fur-babies discovered the fence was down. The trees were removed on Wednesday the 8th and Southeast Restoration had personnel on the ground immediately after to make temporary repairs to the fence and keep Baxter and Toby safe. The quick response and how my concerns for my dogs were addressed earns this company a solid five stars.

The entire team at Southeast Restoration was impressive. I could not have asked for a better team to come in and restore the damage the water caused in my house. From Stephanie my initial contact person at Southeast, Raul Montes the project manager, the painters, Jeff Vaugn (carpet), Jose Olvera, the plumber, Dennis (tile installer) if I miss someone apologies. The entire team was amazing. They were professional, courteous, and respectful. Job well done. Special notice to Dennis and Jose Olvera. These two-team member went beyond the call of duty and expectation. They left no stone uncovered. Again, thank you for an amazing job.

I had a water damage issue caused by an under floor heating system and Southeast Restoration's team was able to put all pieces together to mitigate the issue and restore the system to its correct functional state with a high quality final product.

Positive highlights:
- Great project communication
Southeast Restoration’s team was very communicative throughout the project. They sent clear updates every week and was always able to answer any question. You might get a little bit confused with their text message system and not know exactly who you are talking to as they all share the same number.

- Vast team knowledge and ethics
Everyone in the Southeast Restoration’s team are very knowledgeable and they will patiently instruct you and your family on the right solution. They continued working in my property even when I was out-of-town traveling with no issues.

- Quality delivery and cleanness
They will make sure your project is finished with the most ultimate quality and cleanness.

Challenges faced with the project:
- Specialized under flood heating system
For my project, Southeast Restoration’s team had to deal with a leak on my under floor heating system which is not a common issue on its own and they did an incredible job.

- Specialized engineered floor
Southeast Restoration’s team also had to manage my engineered floor in addition to the under floor heating system which at the end they were able to find a very gratifying solution.

Challenges faced with the company:
- Payment clearness
Southeast Restoration failed to clearly communicate the credit card surcharge (processing fee) in the beginning of the project and/or contract. The 3% surcharge fee was only presented when I got the first bill after the work have already began.

- Flooring match search rushed
Even clearly explained by Southeast Restoration’s team about common flooring challenges specially with engineered floors, there was a small feeling of rush to find an option of a floor to finalize the work. At the end it was possible to find the exact floor match with the original company. In all fairness, I also did not have a lot of information on my original floors when the project started.

- Too many third-party vendors/services
Thanks to Southeast Restoration work, my final product was very satisfying with a high level of quality. However, you will be exposed to a number of different vendors and service providers throughout the project which will leave a feeling of additional or extra payment for one task (third-party service fee + southeast project management fee + southeast service fee).

Overall evaluation:
My overall evaluation of Southeast Restoration work is very high. I would most definitely work with them again and even recommend to my friends. Everybody on the team was very good and easy to work with specially Matt Malone, Ian Perrett and Jimmy Ratliff. All others involved was also very helpful.

Southeastern Restoration did a great job repairing our house after a tree fell. They were very patient dealing with our insurance company as they drug their feet for 3 months. Matthew and Ian were awesome to work with. Ian was especially helpful dealing with our insurance! Highly recommend!

I had an issue with my carpet about 3 years following my water damage to my basement. I contacted them and they took care of the issue since it was a. Installation problem and. It a “warranty “ issue per se. I was very grateful they take pride in their work and care about their reputation going forward. I would use them again if needed and recommend them to others

We experienced really significant water damage in our home that required all flooring upstairs and downstairs to be replaced, in addition to many other repairs. A friend had flooding in their basement and recommended I contact Southeast Restoration. They immediately responded and the initial visit from the estimator, to my interactions with Jarrod Kinder as the project manager to every sub-contractor who performed the repairs and restorations was extraordinary. I was constantly kept up to date on timeline of repairs and received immediate responses whenever I had questions or needed help with other issues that arose during the process. I felt seen, heard and completed supported- beyond anything I expected- throughout the process. The company’s culture of care, compassion, integrity and exceptional service shined through every single interaction. I cannot recommend this company more highly. A very large oak tree fell on my outdoor porch. I called south east restoration and was very happy that I did. Dmitriy was my team leader and went over everything that needed to be done with the schedule. I felt I was in good hands and all of my concerns were answered. Five stars are given to my team leader.

Southeast Restoration was the most professional contractor organization we have ever dealt with. Most of our experience with contractors has not been good. This organization stayed on schedule along with high quality work. We would absolutely use them again!

When our home flooded due to a broken water pipe while we were out of town, we made a call to Southeast Restoration. From that first phone call to the final walkthrough we have had nothing but positive experiences with everyone we met from this company. After the clean up and mitigation were complete, we met our construction manager, Steve Phoenix, who walked us through every step of the rebuild. His expertise regarding the rebuilding process and his regular communication with us made a difficult time much less stressful. The trade partners he brought in were all very professional and we are pleased with the quality of the work done in our home! Everything is now restored and we feel like Steve and his right-hand-guy, Noah, have become our friends! I never post reviews online but in this case I thought it was important to do so as I always read reviews on companies, products or anything and everything. I learned that the reviews I read are a compilation from different areas and teams and not 1 specific location/team.

We had a leak in our kitchen and replaced the sink and faucet but found out the problem was bigger. Southeast Restoration took over! I read the bad reviews and was not excited at all to move forward with them but from the moment the 1st rep from the company came out, the rest was history. Everyone was amazing! I mean truly amazing! The PM, Jimmy was incredible at his job and my husband even tried to hire him to work for his company. He replied to all of my emails timely and always told me the work would be done to our satisfaction. He made it feel like we were his only customer but he had 30-40 others he was also dealing with at the same time. The painters were great and worked very hard and did additional work for us. The plumbers were outstanding and I would hire them again if they weren’t so far away. Everyone we dealt with was top-notch! I would hire any of them to do this work if I was paying out of pocket. Everyone truly cared about the work they were doing and we are beyond happy with the final result which is better than we imagined!

They were selected through insurance for water damage in my basement and did a great job end to end. I'm very satisfied with the work and transparent communication.

We had a toilet line freeze, flooding the upstairs down through the kitchen ceiling. Our insurance company recommended Southeast Restoration. From minute 1, they provided outstanding service. They sent out a great mitigation team (Brett) who ripped out the damaged areas, treated and dried the sub-flooring, then fixed the drywall. Our project manager Dmitriy, then stepped in and walked us through the rebuild, setting up a pack out of our master bedroom, selecting new flooring, installation of flooring, painting, putting up new hardware and light fixtures, and everything in between. He was attentive and knowledgeable, assisting at every turn. Every team that SE brought in did a fantastic job. We could not have been more pleased. Thank you all!

My mom recently had water damage in her house that affected the master bathroom, ceilings, walls and floors. The insurance company gave us a list of their preferred contractors, and we decided to go with Southeast Restoration, and I'm so glad we did! They were many steps for the repairs, that was long and tedious. Jimmy R was very understanding, patient, and was able to guide us step by step of the process with a weekly report. They did everything as outlined.
I especially appreciated that they worked with us within the budget we had, from our selection of fixtures, paint for the walls, vanity for the bathroom, down to the floors. They were able to install everything we chose, and the finished product looks amazing. David as project manager did an excellent job of explaining my guestions during the restoration process. I was given a timeline and the communication was good with any changes. I would highly recommend Southeast Restoration. His team of subcontractors painters and flooring were excellent!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Southeast Restoration and their team! My husband and I had an unfortunate leak/pipe situation very late on a Friday night, and Eric and Brett responded quickly and professionally. We were blown away at how genuinely kind and helpful they were as well - talking us through each step they made and decision options that we had. A few days later, Cade returned to finish the project and help restore some of the damage. We had an equally lovely experience with him as well. This crew is informed, professional, thorough and everything you're looking for when the unexpected house emergencies (and even the fun, planned projects) arise. We had a 10/10 experience, and are so thankful for how well Southeast Restoration took care of us!

Tripp, Zac and their team were excellent to work with. They were communicative throughout the entire process and did a great job replacing our drywall, floors, sanding, staining and painting. After working with another company to get estimates for over a month, Southeast came in and had estimates ready in 2 days. They expedited the timeline as we were expecting a new baby without sacrificing quality of work. I would recommend using Southeast.

Dimitriy and the crew did a great job on repairing water damage in my basement. They finished the job faster than I expected and the quality was quite good.

Great company to work with and very responsive and communicative. They rebuilt the salon in my facility in a timely manner and everything looks fantastic. They also rectified several ongoing issues with mold restoration as well as damage mitigation from a burst ceiling pipe in our memory care unit. They sent reps out to lay eyes on the work very frequently and kept everyone up to date on timelines and expectations. Highly recommend this company!

Thanks to the Southeast team during the rebuilding of my home. Well deserving of the five stars. Recently experienced water damage at my home. My homeowner’s insurance carrier referred me to Southeast for my rebuild. Did not know if this was a clever idea to go with the company my insurance company referred. I did it anyway and if I had to do it all over again, I would do it again. The best experience I could have ever hoped for. Tripp and his team were phenomenal during this tough time. I was informed weekly of project status, timeline, contractors scheduled to my home, their time of arrival and job they were to perform. Southeast stayed on schedule; the project completed several days before scheduled completion date. I highly recommend Southeast. Very professional and reputable company. Special thanks to Tripp, Tripp’s manager, Zac, and Franciscan. You all are the best.

Southeast Restorations was extremely responsive, provided great communication, was flexible & accommodating, worked well with our insurance company, performed timely and quality repairs. The tools they used to complete the required paperwork and submit payments was extremely easy & fast. All the way around and extremely pleasant experience.

My project manager Demitri was great! I felt very heard and accommodated. Everyone was very flexible and efficient. My project was completed weeks ahead and it looks beautiful! I would 100/10 recommend and work with Southeast again.

Room for improvement in process and communication -overall rating of 3 out of 5 for the entire team.
The carpet guys I would give a rating of a 5 out of 5.
The mold guys I would give a 4 out of five.

I would give Zac a higher rating of a 4 out of 5 towards the end he was better at communicating with me.

Recap:
The job was completed mid January.
I was worried it could take longer as the original job timeline had us set to complete the project at the end of November, but due to Cabinets not being measured correctly and having to re-order cabinets and then there was a delay in the cabinets due to supply and demand.
The cabinets were not exactly what I wanted when I met with Zac at the end to sign off . But I was told it was too late to make the change?

Originally, I worked with Tripp as a project manager and then Zac.

Tripp is obviously very knowledgeable, about repair work, but from what he told me he was super busy!
I think this is the heart of the problem, as well as lack of written, documentation on processes and signature of approvals on what we discussed, In real time.

A lot of information was given to me by Tripp over the phone or while he was in the car & sometimes in person, but my biggest issue again was confirmation of agreed work to be done.
There was way too much “he said, or she said”, or “I thought this is what we agreed to do” and that is not a good way of working. At times, I felt confused and overwhelmed by all the moving parts and unable and not sure of when things were getting done and making sure I approve those processes.

Zac took over as project manager and mentioned he was Trip’s assistant… He was very attentive.
He was good with following up with me in a reasonable timeline and texting me separately on his cell phone if needed.

Note- I have been a project manager myself, and I understand having a deadline to meet and coordinating lots of moving parts. That’s why I became a scrum master and learned how to organize process & people in high volume settings, and I think Leadership should invest in some kind of project management systems and training, and make things more measurable and quantifiable in order to meet deadlines without overwhelming the team or the customer.
The teams at Southeastern need a better organizational system so as to become, better at keeping everyone on the same page& be more agile & use new technology software to better communicate between team members and the customers in real time!

Microsoft has Microsoft project, I have used one note, and even Google notes in Google projects.

These things can be shared with team members, and also shared with the customer at a reasonable cost

I do have one FINAL issue/ complaint from a previous job done by PM Raul
at Southeastern( Prior to this most recent project with Tripp and Nic) over an upstairs flooding issue that ended up causing the ceiling & damaging the lower half bath.

Recently , I hired a plumber, Chad ‘s brother who came out To figure out what was causing this leak in the lower bathroom; he fixed the upstairs toilet as it was not screwed in tightly from the previous job that Raul had done and was causing leaking which led to the lower bath ceiling to start to cave in and peel.
The leak is fixed, and there is no longer dripping. However, there is a section of that lower bath ceiling that peeled off & is now dried up with large gap, peeled tape drywall that needs to be patched up. Totally cosmetic.
I was hoping Southeast would get that repaired at no cost to me. I asked Zac about it and he said he would talk to the owner and get back to me.
Note- the upstairs tub is still dripping, and we need to get screws to tighten it but that is not what caused that low bath ceiling to cave through again.
I explained all of this to Zac.

Southeast Restoration was incredible to work with. Unfortunately, we had two insurance claims on our home at the same time, but Southeast quickly responded with their mitigation and restoration team to get our home back while working with the insurance company on the estimate and supplement. Our project manager, Jarrad ensured the entire process was efficient and transparent. The quality of the contractors they use are top notch, and we could not be happier with the final product!!
