Sons of Thunder did an amazing job getting rid of the stumps in my back field with an excavator. They even leveled the land so that there weren't any craters in the earth. Very professional and good response times and accommodating. Would definitely recommend, and I plan on having them do more work in the near future.

Jesse and his crew were beyond great. They truly cared and it shows. We realized immediately that we had hired the right team. We had two huge, probably 100 foot tall pine trees. It was a huge job and Jesse and his crew tackled it immediately. They brought their amazing equipment for this huge job, and the team worked like a well oiled machine the entire time, while I watched in amazement. They cut the logs to our needs, stacked the logs neatly and cleaned up the entire area afterward. We will definitely be hiring them again in the future. This is a GREAT company! My wife and I truly enjoyed working with Jesse and his team. Incredibly professional in their approach to helping us with several trees that were too close to the house. I should also note that this was a very difficult job given the proximity of the trees to the house. With surgical precision, this team took great care in how they approached each cut. After 2 yrs of having companies simply no show or start then disappear before completing the contracted work I thought I’d never get our property cleaned up! I called Sons of Thunder not expecting too much based on previous experiences but these guys are great!! I've used Sons of Thunder twice to take care of trees that needed removal ASAP. The first time was a big maple that they were able to drop in one piece; the second time was a beautiful, spreading maple which had to be done a chunk at a time, and a tall, skinny spruce that was taken down in one go. If we have other tree problems in the future, we are glad to know we have Sons of Thunder to do the work safely (a big factor for me), efficiently and for a reasonable price.

Sons of Thunder came out to look at our trees as soon as they could which was great because we had no idea there was a problem with them until we saw woodpecker signs. It was reassuring to get them on the ground before the next windstorm!

My husband and I were told by Versant Power that we were responsible for having the trees trimmed from the power lines along our mile long private road in Cutler. We don’t live in Maine so we asked for recommendations and they wouldn’t give any. Sooo, we were on our own trying to find a reputable company. We were so glad to have found SofT and Jesse Linan. He was able to come out to assess our property before we left for the season. He and his crew got the main road cleared and chipped and were able to add some additional work on to the schedule. We had great communication with him from afar and everything went according to plan. They showed up on time and finished on schedule. I look forward to using SofT in the future for trail clearing.

We were very pleased with the work performed by Sons of Thunder. After our initial contact Jesse came over to see exactly what we wanted to have done. When he and crew came to actually do the work, he asked me to revisit what we had discussed so there would be no confusion. As soon as we had finished our second walk around the yard, they went right to work. A number of small saplings that made a thick hedge were removed from our front line. It is now much easier to exit our driveway. They also cut down every branch that was dangerously low over our house and trimmed other trees. They completed the job by removing all the slash so that you would hardly realize they had even been there. We are so happy with how our property looks now. Another plus was that Jesse has an incredible machine, a remote controlled tracked tree trimmer, that totally captivated my husband's attention and had him later reading about it online! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sons of Thunder to anyone looking to have tree work completed..

Sons of Thunder did a great job clearing some scrubby willows that were blocking my view and shading an apple tree on my property. The willows were growing on a steep hillside, making the job more difficult and dangerous. They worked quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up after they were done. The crew was courteous, and were excellent communicators, making sure that they understood exactly what I wanted done.

Hired Jesse and his crew to remove a HUGE old maple that was tucked into the corner between the garage and the house. Sadly, it was dying and needed to be removed before it came down on it's own and damaged something. They showed up, got right to work, accommodated my every need and cleaned up in just over 3 hours. Jesse did some tree work for me and I am totally satisfied. I had a considerable amount of blowdowns from the wind storms last winter. He showed up on time, did a great job cutting, hauling and chipping three dozen trees, spreading the chips evenly, with minimal disturbance to the lawn & grounds.

Jesse did a lot of landscaping work for us, pulling down many large trees and clearing brush, as well as cleaning up the overgrown mess all around the house we’d purchased. I could not be more pleased with Sons of Thunder tree services ,they showed up on time and got right to it and did it safely.
The tree they took down was huge 3 foot easy at the base and over 100 feet tall with buildings all around it. When it was all said and done the tree was gone,yard was cleaned and no damage to anything.

We had a tree that cracked and was leaning from the recent wind storms . (We didn’t know of any tree service companies .) Jesse was working at another yard in town and we stopped him/crew member to ask for an estimate . He came by right after he finished that job, that same day and took the tree down the next day .Start to finish was 2 only hours and at a reasonable price point . He dropped it and hauled it away. Area was left clean with no debris. We were impressed with the efficiency AND safety measures of his crew. Hard working guys ! We highly recommend them . :)

If you need trees put down, Jesse is your guy. I have never been so impressed with a company as I am with Sons of Thunder.
With all the outages this year, I decided I needed to have some trees removed that were too close to my wires. I went on line and looked at a few tree removal companies and found Sons of Thunder that advertised the areas they cover. Bingo, they cover the town I live in.
I filled out the online form on their website, and, no exaggeration, I received a call from them before I even had time to close down my computer. Jesse was so cordial and answered all my questions and relieved my anxieties. Would you believe he gave me a very reasonably quote and before 3 weeks had passed, they were here, and within 2 days my wires are as free from trees as I have ever seen them. Living in the woods has it’s drawbacks, but Sons of Thunder has made it all worthwhile.
Now that I know of a company that I can count on, I’m staying right where I am.
When looking at the pictures, don’t get discouraged. They do removal, but I asked them I they would leave the trees, for me to take care of.

Two weeks ago, we moved into a lovely home that the forest had tried to overtake. My husband called Sons of Thunder, liking the name, and Jesse came over the same day with his brother. In the rain, they marked out 21 enormous trees, any one of which could have fallen on and crushed the house. They immediately gave us a completely reasonable estimate and said they’d return to begin work the next day. It was still raining when they returned the next morning with a full crew, in safety equipment, an excavator and wood chipper. By the end of the day, they’d cut down most of the trees just in time as the wind howled all night. The following day of Easter weekend, they worked another full day as a team. Before leaving, they leveled out the pile of wood chips, and flattened out the ruts. They all worked ceaselessly and were professional and courteous. We have another job for them after the holiday. I’d recommend Sons of Thunder wholeheartedly to any one looking for a professionally licensed arborist who runs a safe and efficient work site at a reasonable cost.

Called on 3-10 Sunday, Jesse was on the phone to us early on 3-11 Monday. He came right out to our house to see what needed to be done and give a quote. We had a very large tree dangling over the power line in our yard. Versant Power couldn't come until 3-20 to remove the live power line so they could get the tree down. Jesse came with a crew and as soon as the power line was down they worked together to get the entirely job done in 3 hours.
