Since the re-roofing cost for our wind and hail damage roof was running between $32,000 and $40,000, it was important to us to use extreme caution in our choice of roofing contractors. As a former roofer and currently self-employed carpenter I enlisted the help of a general contractor friend and we set out to obtain multiple estimates to replace the 22 rear old roof on our church structure and one of our out buildings. In the end our decision was to use Smithson Brothers Roofing and Guttering for the project. We found Jeff Smithson very helpful in suggesting ways that we could save money in the process. Their estimate was clear and cost effective and the warranty gave us a good time period for a labor warranty.

The roofing crew was excellent and hard-working and the finished job is picture perfect. The roofers were working and 95° weather on an 8:12 pitch roof, which to my estimation as a former roofer, is no fun. During the process they found extensive wood rot and water damage to the sheathing (plywood on the trusses) that was not visible prior to stripping the roof of the old shingles and synthetic felt. Additional unforeseen damage was clearly spelled out in the estimate, and the job was done within the specified timeframe and with excellent quality.

I have no hesitancy recommending the use of Smithson Brothers Roofing and Guttering, as everything related to our roofing installation was a good experience.

I lost some shingles on the front of my house during the strong winds and storm that came through 3/30/2022. I called and left a message with Jeff in the morning, then continued calling other roof repair contractors. I kept being told a week or more just to come look and give an estimate. I gave up and decided to try to do it myself but didn’t feel safe doing it after falling off a ladder last year. That afternoon I received a text from Jeff saying he would be in my area the next day and would come by in the afternoon. The next day he texted to let me know he was on his way and would be there in about 20 mins. He arrived on time, looked at my roof, gave me a very reasonable price and said “I will go ahead and repair your roof now”. He had the right tools, right attitude and is a really nice guy. I was very pleased with my experience with Smithson Bros. I did my research and got several quotes for gutter and guard installation. It was obvious after just meeting and talking with Jeff that he knew his craft well. The work was completed ahead of schedule and Jeff maintained communication throughout the whole process, I could not have been more pleased. If you are looking for solid quality work from a local, honest and knowledgeable guy, then this is who you should call.

Jeff with Smithson Bros. is a perfect case of under promise and over deliver, which is exactly what you want in the service industry. I have a tendency to believe that when a service has to come to your house, they will be late, they will over charge, they may not even show up. That is not the case at all for Smithson Brothers. They really want your business, and it shows.

1. I got a completely new guttering system for the house for a very reasonable price. I feel like I saved a ton of money.

2. He was scheduled way out, but I went ahead and made an appointment for a quote. Once he gave the quote, he said it would be two weeks. He ended up having an opening just a few days later and asked if he could go ahead and get the job done that day. Of course, I was excited. Keeping the crew working is great efficiency.

I have to say that this is by far the best experience I've had with any type of home improvement. Jeff is exemplary in customer service , extremely professional, and does great work. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

We called Smithson Bros. to repair a few loose shingles on our roof. His quote was very reasonable He even purchased some extra shingles for the repair and did not include those in the final price- I had to inquire about the extra cost and offer to pay for them.

In spite of his long waiting list due to severe windstorms, Jeff ensured no further damage would occur to our property and kept in touch in the interim, almost daily updating his progress to start our job. He met his start-work estimated date and completed the job in record time. Complete clean-up... I had to do nothing. Thanks for an excellent job.

Jeff came out and gave us an estimate on our roof (least expensive) and explained how it will go. He is super nice and very informative. He assisted in sending information to our insurance company. Again assuring us. Dropped cones at the spots where materials will be put after asking the best spot. Crew came monday (3/9/2020). Super nice and fast. Total tear off and a brand new roof. Done in 4 hrs and 45 minutes. They cleaned up leaving the surrounding area just like it was. Very impressed. Jeff and his crew did exactly what they said they would do. I had a really positive experience with this company. Water was getting into my basement and the gutters needed a lot of work. They came out promptly (during a flood), gave me an estimate, and came out as promised. Their work was amazing and there is no more water in my basement! I can’t recommend them enough!!!

By far the best experience, value, and service I’ve ever received. I had a leak that was the result of a poor caulking job by the original builder around the vent. Jeff answered my calls and questions. He had a price that was a better value than the other 2 quotes I had received. I have a 2054 sqft trailer, the crew started at 810 AM, they were done before 530PM. I have told one lady at Lowe's that was talking about getting her roof done. Met Jeff when we had a small emergency roofing repair which needed immediate attention. Jeff came out patched the roof but due to other issues the leak persisted. He came back out and broght a tarp to cover the portion of the roof which was leaking and this resolved the problem.
The roof needed to be replaced.
Jeff provided me a quote to replace the roof which I felt was very reasonable. I had concerns about providing 1/2 payment up front due to prior bad experiences with other buidling contractors. Jeff assured me he would complete the job when he said he would Reluctantly I paid the 1/2 down and Jeff provided me with a date to complete the work. True to his word the supplies were onsite when they were scheduled to be onsite and the work was performed when it was scheduled to be performed.
If I ever have roofing needs Smithson Brothers will be my first call. I highly recommend them.
