Moved into a house that had a gas water heater installed incorrectly and couldn't us hot olwater or any water in that fact for 2 weeks. Every other company refused to touch it or gave a ridiculous price. Mike was recommended to me I gave him a call and he cam out and looked at and said he can easily switch it out for an electric one no problem. Gave a decent quote and within that week had it installed and the old one out. Quick work up to code great with communication and gets things done quick and right. Will go to him again and recommend him and his work.

Mike did my fencing for my inground pool. He was excellent with his customer service, quick communication, and efficiency. He was quick to give me a reasonable quote and he scheduled me less than a week after I made a payment to do the project. I’m very satisfied with the quality of the work and the reassurance of the guaranteed safety for my family. Super happy with the job!

Simmons Odd Jobs replaced our kitchen linoleum countertops with granite and it turned out beautiful. The project was discussed on Thursday, commenced on Monday, and completed by Tuesday - WOW! Debz came out for Simmons and did a great job selecting the proper door knob and installing it, when the door knob to my laundry room failed. I was grateful that they were able to book me so quickly and address the issue.

Simmons Home Remodeling is a reliable and trustworthy company, which is hard to find. I cautiously researched local companies after my first contractor left me in a bind with incomplete work. I specifically worked with Mike on two bathroom remodels in my house. He had to correct the work of another contractor in one of the bathrooms. I live out of state, so my remodel was completed via telephone conversations and text messages. He was very knowledgeable and communicated with me about potential issues before starting & communicated very well thought my project. I would trust Mike with any future remodels. My parents completed the final walkthrough on my behalf and are very happy with his work. In fact, they hired him for a project at their house.

Just purchased a home in Las Cruces and needed to repair and remodel everything from the bathrooms, water filtration system and irrigation. By far Simmons Remodeling is the best company I've had the opportunity to work with. Within one day of contacting Simmons Remodeling, Michael (the owner) and his construction team assessed the project, provided a very reasonable estimate and began the remodel, just a few days later. If issues arose. Michael kept me informed immediately and offered alternatives and work arounds if suppliers shipped the wrong part or, in the case of Home Depot, advertised a sink top that was hard to get and way more money than posted. In the Home Depot case, Michael Simmons had a custom granite vanity top made for less money than the prefabricated sink Home Depot didn't have available and mispriced. Therefore, I highly recommend Simmons Remodeling for any repairs or home remodeling projects.

Mike remodeled my house and did a fabulous job. He was extremely professional and the outcome was fantastic. Best remodel in the city!

The experience with Simmons Odd Jobs was good overall. Mike Simmons was responsive to our original request for quote and, although high in my opinion, was the lowest quote that we received for the work we wanted.

The work began promptly and Mike and his crew were able to complete 50% of the project within the first 2 days. After waiting for the metal order to come in, they eventually were able to finish the project. A few finishing details were still lacking and a quick conversation with Mike had them back at the project and finished up nicely.

Overall, while there was some communication issues, the build came out very nicely and is definitely worth it.

Had a crazy thing happen where the covering on my porch just fell off the building from the original builders not doing it right. Simmons were the first we called to come check it out, and they were responsive and came out right away to evaluate. They provided a quick estimate, got the old stuff cleared out, demo'd the torn up stucco, and built up a brand new one better than the old. 5 star, highly recommend.

Awesome work that Mike and his team does the bathroom needed a complete rework and shower replaced with sliding door got all of it completed fast and efficiently. Definitely recommend him to anyone and for future projects!!

Mike was easy to work with. He listened to our needs and delivered. We would hire him for future projects at our home.

I’m posting a review here because Mike blocked my wife and I on his social media business account after we shared our experience publicly.

Mike abandoned the job.
Mike wouldn’t provide any details on materials used or pricing and said we have everything in the quote provided which was very vague.
Mike lied about the paint used.
Mike lied about the insulation used.
Mike didn’t properly seal off the garage like stated.
Mike used trim that didn’t match what was currently in the room.
Mike didn’t finish the closet as agreed, including cutting doors after carpet was installed.
Mike didn’t replace door stoppers after removing.

This is a great group of professionals. Hard working, on time, knowledgeable and very helpful! Prices are reasonable. I highly recommend them!

*update* Nice review from the owner calling themselves one of last great contractors. A decent business owner would do the bare minimum of reimbursing the items that were paid for but not installed. But Mike's apparently not that, since he blocked us for merely mentioning such a huge issue as 2.5 rooms being tiled with completely wrong material.

I wanted to like Mike and his company, but unfortunately the project ended up being a disaster. On top of multiple other issues.. We were quoted for, AND PAID FOR, nearly $7/Sq ft tile, Mike installed $1.95/ Sq ft tile. When we asked Mike about it, he blocked us. The lack of integrity is upsetting. We would have been better off hiring Lowes to install, at least then we would have received what we paid for.

I was looking for someone to remodel my kitchen and bathroom and paint. He was recommended by another person who did a rock wall and some iron gates. That was the best decision I made. He really did a great job. I couldn't be more happier. I truly appreciate and recommend this business to everyone.

Mike's company has done a few things around my house. He is great to work with. Has always done what he says he will do. Wont leave you hanging without communicating like other contractors all seem to do.

The crew and foreman were friendly and professional. The craftsmanship was perfection. This company took a lot of pride with the project.

Michael put up a fence for us and did a great job. He was very helpful during the quote process and helped us reduce the cost of the project by offering alternative designs that would still look nice but be less expensive. We were happy with the quality of the construction and the attention to detail. We love our fence and will hire him again in the future!

We are extremely happy we chose Mike to remodel both our Guest and Master bathrooms because he knocked them both out of the park!  Even when he ran into some plumbing issues that were pre-existing and nobody knew about, he was able to devise a solution and make it right without blowing out our budget.  He was able to work with all the specialty items we personally chose for our renovation without issue or complaint.  As with all renovations, things didn’t always go as planned, but Mike always came through and worked with us to make us happy... even when we were being a bit picky.  Mike is extremely communicative and always listened to our thoughts, ideas, or issues with an open mind.  If he couldn’t do it himself, which was rare, he always knew someone who could get it done or help him through it and he took care of everything.  It can be extremely hard to find a contractor who is considerate, honest, forthcoming, and has integrity… especially around here.  Mike is all of that, which is why he’s our new go-to guy.  We already have other projects lined up for him to quote and have referred him to multiple people.

Scam artist doing the bare minimum. Accepted a contract to build us a large, expensive fence, then abandoned the project and stopped answering phone when we noted that the gate blows completely off of the track constantly in medium winds due to poor workmanship. Also did not paint the exterior as agreed. Classic case of a cut rate scam artist "contractor" taking advantage of a homeowner. We are initating legal proceedings and any potential customers beware.

Simmons odd jobs is an amazing company to work with. I found them to be very professional, and extremely knowledgable. They treated the project and jobsite as if it were their own property, and the end product has actually exceeded our expectations.

I contacted Mike to replace some structural posts on the front of our home. He was prompt and professional in all of our dealings. Since moving to the area, I have not dealt with a single contractor/handyman/service provider who was honest and communicative; Mike was different. Mike understood what I wanted and delivered in a timely manner. The work was completed efficiently and to a decent standard. It wasn’t the cheapest estimate that we got to perform the job but it was worth it for the good work, great attitude, and professionalism.
