Shorebreak Roofing & Painting

This is very disappointing to write as they did a good job on our roof, but we have had issues after and they never show when they say they are and we have a leak. I would call another roofing company but our roof is under warranty with them. Then when I call about why they do not show up, we just get an answering machine, leave a message and no return call.

Great customer service!

And they did a fenomenal job!

Shorebreak did a great job for us-- we had an up-front discussion of the work, and also how we would handle any emergent/unexpected damage that might be uncovered (fortunately that amounted to little). Shorebreak corrected several items pertaining to old or improperly installed flashing, saving us from future headaches. Siding repairs were flawlessly performed and repainted with the exact paint used on the rest of the house exterior.

We are extremely pleased with the final product, every shingle is in just the right place, and cosmetically all our neighbors have been very complimentary.

In summary, we are very glad to have used such a quality outfit as Shorebreak!

Josh and Skyler deserve 10 stars! Impeccable customer service. Honest, intrepid and expeditious, they went right to work and discovered the root (or acorn, in this case) of our roof issues. Once the roof issue was remedied, they turned their attention to the alleged holes in our soffits. (Nader’s Pest Control wanted to charge us $2,000 to seal up what appeared to be open soffits leading into the attic.) After Josh and Skyler inspected the soffits, they discovered that the soffits were SEALED thoroughly and only appeared open due to dark adhesive/sealant in the corners of the gables. Ha! I will forever be grateful to these two gentlemen for their candid assessment and honest work ethic. I have forever found my handyman service.
I’m always hesitant about whom to call for around-the-house help because I neither know whom to call nor whether or not they’re being truthful and forthcoming. Well, if you’re like me and looking for a trustworthy service, call up Shorebreak Roofing and have the consumer confidence and peace of mind you deserve. If I could give 10 stars, I would! The customer service when speaking to the staff was great. Our in person interaction with technicians was great.

However, I wish we could have given a better review on the services but we could never get a response from the vendors regarding a quote to start work.

My husband and I had to make multiple calls and follow ups regarding a missed appointment with no notice as to why they didn’t show up.

Upon our second appointment date we once more had to follow up to confirm our appointment was still happening only to have the tech advise us a hour before that he was sick and not showing, thankfully other technicians came out for a inspection and advised they would send us a quote the next day.

It’s been almost two weeks, multiple calls later and still no quote.

I don’t like writing bad reviews, but hopefully this can be a coaching opportunity for this company moving forward regarding following through.

The crew did an excellent job ensuring that we were pleased with the final outcome. The house looks fabulous! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and respectful of our’s and adjoining neighbor’s property.

As a relatively new homeowner, the last thing you want to hear is you need a new roof. This couldn't have been a more painless and simple process with Shorebreak. One of their team members Caleb Marsh, was absolutely delightful and went over and above to ensure we felt good about the process. He explained the plan from beginning to end and would check in to see if we had questions regularly. Install happened in half a day and we are delighted with our new roof. If you find yourself in need of or in the market for a repair/replacement, I would caution you in going anywhere other than Shorebreak. THE BEST!

This team was so AWESOME to work with! Professional, courteous, and high quality. Will use them again in the future. Greg and Donnie are two of the team we met and enjoyed working with. They painted a TON of crown molding for us. Katlyn in the office was great with scheduling and communication also.

I've been meaning to write this review sooner. Couldn't be happier with the price and quality of work performed. I had interior living spaces painted on a new house build and the painters went above and beyond to even work around the builders and their mis steps that were causing them to not get the job done right away. Don't be fooled by the roofing in this company's name they do a bang up job of interior painting as well on textured walls to boot. Happy to have smooth walls and not chalky walls done by the builders.

ShoreBreak Roofing replaced the 20-year-old roofs on five connected townhomes in my complex within Amelia Park, Fernandina Beach, Florida. The workmanship under Charlie De Berry supported by his lead manger and the 8- person crew was flawless. All work was completed ontime without any issues. Their care and attention to detail exceeded our expectations leaving each of the properties clean and neat throughout the daily process. I wouldn't trust anyone else with painting my new home but the amazing Shorebreak team! They paid attention to the little details and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the final product. The team completed the project in an extremely timely manner and left the house looking 100x better than when they first arrived! WOW. Getting our new roof from Shorebreak was too easy. Chad explained our options to us in a way that even I could understand. The workers were prompt and punctual, and worked their butts off from sunrise to sundown to get our roof totally done in a single day. Upon inspection,they had gone above and beyond.Their pricing is completely reasonable, they use quality products and, their work crew is clean and professional. They break the stereotype of the shady roofer, 100%. Don't use anyone else.

Shorebreak replaced the roof on my home and I could not be happier. Chad was very involved every step of the way making sure that everything was on track and that I was happy with the outcome.

We hired Shorebreak to paint the interior and exterior of our home as well as finish our flooring and we could not be happier with the results! Every person working for them has great attention to detail and took the time to make sure the job was perfect!! Charlie was easy to get ahold of and answered all my questions. Anxious months post Hurricane Irma dealing with a leaking roof and living room ceiling collapse from one of those leaks filled my days, week, and months. I am a senior living alone therefore additional concerns of making knowledgeable costly decisions. Asking friends advice, internet research, phone calls and interviews left several choices but not a clean decision. A complicating factor, unique to my situation, was an “asbestos tile roof” which would require extra hazardous materials removal compliance. Many roofers I called refused the split second I mentioned this “asbestos” word!
In interviews, I was left disheartened and perplexed. Examples: one contractor interviewed was terse with my inquiries and seemed offended when asked for a written estimate; and, another “A ranked” company had an impressive manner and comprehensive estimate, but an astronomical cost.
However, providence intervened! A chance encounter with a business friend led to a recommendation of a company her family had used. Her husband is construction knowledgeable and was very impressed with this company and the owner. He observed their work as the roof was done in a timely manner and well supervised. The company’s name is SHOREBREAK owned by Charlie DeBarry. With this endorsement, I decided to call and ask for an estimate.
Charlie came by the house to preview before our meeting. He already had prepared a written comprehensive estimate with our consult. He was courteous and willingly answered all my questions and explained procedures with the re-roof and additional asbestos removal requirements. The quote seemed within reason and fair with explanations of possible causes for minimal increase from estimate. Afterwards I consulted with my friend’s husband concerning the estimate; and signed a contract with Mr. DeBerry a couple days later. He indicated a couple of jobs would be before mine and weather may cause delays. Contract was signed late February, 2018.
Work commenced on April 24, 2018 and was completed in 3 days. The crew worked efficiently and untiringly on my home (noisy but good to have it started). The supervisor was attentive if I had any questions or I needed help coming or going during the construction. Charlie DeBerry stopped by to check work and consult with supervisor. Workers handling the asbestos tiles wore protective gear. During the whole process ground workers checked the house’s perimeter to clear away fallen roofing materials and used strong magnets for metal items. With the roof complete the whole crew surveyed the perimeter thoroughly for debris (although my yard crew found a few stray tacks weeks later).
I have waited to post this review so I could evaluate how my new roof would hold up through the Spring rains. All proved well and not a leak to be found. Roof also undamaged after a pecan tree limb hit it. Now with another hurricane season looming, I feel confident I have a secure strong roof. Plus, lots of compliments on how well it looks.
Overall, after the preliminary consternation, I found the most decent reputable experience with Mr. DeBerry and Shorebreak . It was most satisfying experience.

Highly recommend Shorebreak! Not only did they move mountains for us, they also were out within days of setting it up to get the roof replaced. Our new roof looks amazing and was done in only two days!
