We had a consultation with both Astrawatt and Shinnova. Both went well, but we decided to go with Shinnova because they offered more incentives. We were a bit hesitant to go solar, but they answered all our questions and were great with communication. Kept us up to date and always replied to any concerns that we had. The whole process took a couple months but the panels are up and generating power! Matt and Brianna were great to work with.

I have been very pleased with the quality of the service and equipment that was installed on my home. Very professional through the whole process. I would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade to a solar system.

Shinnova has completely transformed our home. We had them replace our back door and the entire siding. Our house looks brand new. From our first consultation to install the process was seamless. They are great to work with. Highly recommend.

I find their work to be one of ‘install and walk away’ and they seem to be utterly disinterested in spending time resolving performance issues.
My advice is that if you ever work with them, do your research thoroughly, know exactly what you want, and ensure it’s in the contract so that you don’t get shortchanged in case things don’t work for you.
Specifically, understand your past and current consumption and how your future consumption look like. Understand and review solar technology, the different types of panel technology available, and industry trends against what is being offered to you.
Otherwise you’ll end up paying 2 bills, one to your existing electric company (instead of getting value for your investment),and they won’t take responsibility for it despite their very public and misleading advertising about going electric free with solar power!
Do not fall for the gimmicks

We've enjoyed working with Shinnova for our solar project. Recently, they removed then replaced our panels when we got a new roof. Everything went smoothly.

A+ customer service, Jeremy and his crew are the best in the biz. I wouldn’t go anywhere else- they are the full package and makes the process super easy. If you are on the fence about getting solar- give them a call and see if it makes sense.

Shinnova came to the rescue when our previous solar installation company went bankrupt. Shinnova staff has been top notch all the way around. They have been efficient and effective at diagnosing problems and maintaining our solar field. The staff is courteous and professional on the phone and in person. Shinnova was recommended to us by our neighbor at a time when I couldn’t get other solar businesses to answer the phone.I wish we had found them first!

For all of you Solar people out there, he is a chance to learn a little more about this unique journey. I had my solar panels installed by a company, won't name but if you need to know, ask me. They basically installed the panels and then said.....goodbye. We only install. We do not service them. WHAT!! So I had an issue with a panel, they said get lost and I was referred to Shinnova Solar by a friend. Long story short. They should have been my only call. They sell, AND SERVICE WHAT THEY SELL, AND SERVICE WHAT SOMEONE ELSE SOLD YOU. AMAZING. And the service is fast, and priced fairly and they are genuinely interested in helping you maintain your systems.
So YES.I strongly recommend for all your solar needs, install, service, repair, replace. This is the company to call to take all that sun in.

We had Shinnova install windows in our house. We had tried to find someone for close 2 years locally with no luck. The salesman pulled in our drive one day and our experience starting with him to the installers was top notch. Everyone involved was polite , courteous and very efficient.
The day the windows were installed it was 10 degrees. Butch, Antonio and( I can’t remember the other gentleman’s name) but they got the old windows out and the new ones in pretty quickly. I was impressed with the efficiency and when they left they had everything cleaned up. Not one single scrap of trash left behind. I would highly recommend this company !!

We recently had our siding completed by Shinnova and are so happy with the results. It completely transformed the look of our house. We’ve had our eyes on Shinnova since they installed their products on two homes less than a block from ours. From Dillan, the door knocker, to Dan, the salesman, to Butch and his install crew including Adan and Herson, our install project went through without a problem, start to finish. We had Shinnova replace our windows and siding on our 134 year old farmhouse. First time this had ever happened to this house and everyone from Jeremy our salesman to Gary and Gary the siding managers were outstanding. BLUF: Would I do solar again, YES, 100%; would I do it again with Shinnova, maybe?
While the salesperson (Adam K) is nice, answers all your questions, responsive and downright the type of guy you would like to hang out with, you have to remember that it is HIS JOB. Once you sign the contract, his job moves him on to someone else and in theory you are assigned a project manager (PM) to work with going forward. While they have made up for it and kept their word throughout the whole process, the communication would be the number one thing I wish more for. The welcome packet with your contract copies and other process step information was sent with no PM assignment and had to reach out a month later because no one had reached out to us. Next our assigned PM left, and it was over 2 weeks before we knew we were reassigned to another person (Bailey) (bounced email told us of the fact). Bailey, communicated as changes occurred and listened to my questions and helped me find the answers I needed to feel comfortable with the process. The billing department (shout out to Jay!) was great to work with on making payments and helped keep part of the promises given and help with billing/tax questions and Ethan for helping to resolve the last several months hurtles to get it all done and finished.

So, yes I would definitely do solar again, and as long as you read the contract and project planning documents well, and keep on the communication, Shinnova is a good reputable company to work with.

Gary was great! He gave us all the information and answered all of our questions. Was very helpful, but not pushy.

We were looking for a good solar plan and we chose Shinnova. Boy did we pick the right one. From salesman to those that check for correct placement to installers it went so smoothly. We were hooked up in July of 2022 and had immediate savings. If we had an issue or question they were right there a phone call away. If you are considering solar this is a company you should check out!

We have had all of our windows replaced by Shinnova and we could not be happier with the quality of their windows, their service & their excellent staff!! We have had such good service from them, now we are enjoying a warmer home & lower utility bills!

They did not instal my solar system, but have performed repairs. The work was done well and customer service is very good and responsive. Every one I have met is diligent and professional. And they have performed diagnostic follow up of great assistance to me. Highly recommend.

Everyone on the Shinnova team made our solar installation very easy and timely. They really know how to do business. The system is exactly what we wanted.

We had our system installed in Oct 2022. This summer while it was so hot, we had our pool running and our air conditioning running every day. The biggest bill we have had since May is $10, which that is for our whole home surge protector on our meter. Solar had been amazing for us this summer!

I've had my solar panels bought and installed by Shinnova. Everything was exactly as stated the amount we save on or bill and the size of system we have needed. I have needed a couple repairs due to software updates on the manufacturers side and Shinnova was great in coming out and fixing the issue with new hardware free of charge. I would definitely recommend them.

I thought your install crew was exceptional. They were neat, clean and polite. They cleaned up their wastes and left a clean project. Their knowledge was impressive.

The process was smooth and Hannah was extremely helpful. Hannah was great about issuing reminders to other parties when the process was in a spot where it may slow down. She was also responsive when questions arose.

Fantastic customer service experience! They were prompt and really worked to hear and fill our needs in an afordable way! Definitely recommend!

Every step of this process (the installation, financing, technology/app tracking and tax filing) was smooth and effortless. We didn't work with Gary very much directly as much as we coordinated mostly with Hannah Wallace and several other people (Bailey, Becky and Chris). Everyone was great to work with despite the holiday season and weather challenges that presented with updated timelines.

I was a bit nervous about the network of contractors utilized but it was unwarranted. The solar panel installation took a couple months with several visits from the installers, electricians and Shinova reps - pretty painless overall.

I'm a huge fan of the real-time data tracking app installed on my phone with several metrics to gauge performance. The installed cellular card occasionally has issues staying connected to the cellular tower in our neighborhood, which is more indicative of the poor cell tower coverage. However, the instructions for configuring the gateway through our wi-fi was pretty straight forward as a nice alternative.

Additionally, this year's tax return was a very pleasant surprise and far exceeded expectation. In fact, our experience has been better than promised from start to finish and beyond. We've been so happy to sing Shinova's praises to friends and family that my father-in-law opted to contract Shinova for his solar project kicking off next June.

We have had our solar for over a year. Prior to choosing a company, I did research on solar companies. Shinnova ranked high on ratings and still does. Many HOA’s list companies if you go solar and they rank high there too. I am extremely happy with the inspection process to make sure our roof support was sufficient. Shinnova added support to our newer home to make sure it met standards. The app I have lets me see how my solar is storing in the battery back up. I have met people that have solar which they bought through door to door salesmen. Please don’t go there. Choose a company that’s been around and has a high rating. We are glad we did!

Amie Logan is the best customer service representative that I have come across in a long time. She is friendly and will work very hard to find out the answers you need. We had panels installed in December and I feel that my project manager did the basics required, but after completion I have had further questions. I reached out to my former project manager and received no response. Amie got me taken care of above and beyond my expectations!!

*UPDATE* 4-12-23 Please read, long but complete review. The system is fully live and with some assistance from Enphase is completely right now. I worked with Enphase on my own accord to correct some issues that were still going on with the system. I know from the past experience given the chance Enphase would have had installers come back out, but I was tired of that and took it upon myself. Shinnova themselves have been nothing less than great. The installation team were good too but maybe needed a bit more training. It would have been nice to have someone go over the app and all the options available instead of links to read/watch how it all works. I have been getting it figured out but at the expense of time. We did get the vouchers finally. I am bumping this to 5* and will update further if necessary.

3-6-23 original review: I am still not sure if this was worth the ride! We started our solar process over a year ago, just went live 3 days ago with some issues still.
The financing was the easiest part on our side. We are aware of a lot of issues that our current electric company has caused and Shinnova/Hannah worked through them very well, also aware that our current electric company held up the whole process for roughly 4 months.
The sales person we worked with had used vacation vouchers as an incentive to sign up, another individual from the company was on site during the installation process and asked about them and
said he would look into it and get back with us. That was over a month ago.
We were in the install queue for 6-7 months before Shinnova contracted the install out. The installation team came out and took care of it, well almost. The electrical side had to be revisited on multiple occasions thanks in part to our current service provider and the inspector.
As of this writing over a year into this process we are still not fully operational, cannot monitor the system properly, and still no word on the vouchers.
I love the idea of solar for a lot of reasons. The issue is too many bad stories go along with the process. Our story is not a horrible one, but I would not consider it a good one either.
Would I recommend Shinnova, possibly. They were responsive, took care of a lot of stuff in the background. We did feel like we were in limbo a few times. Still no vacation vouchers either.

The solar panel have been great. The company didn't pressure us at anytime very good to do business with. I have given their name out to a lot of people and friends.

The installation team did a very nice job and we've enjoyed getting electric bills in the summer that sometimes are only $6-$8. /month depending on the sunshine. This is with a swimming pool and A/C.
Winter month bills are more because of the sun angle, but are still less than they would be w/o the panels.

Everything delivered and installed as promised. It was on time and if I had questions or a problem, it was resolved very quickly. Over the last year I've noticed the price of power creeping up. That means my bill has been creeping back up, but not as quickly and I'll be getting more solar panels from Shinova!

Easy to work with, very friendly, answered all of our questions, and we absolutely loved the solar panel experience. Everyone should consider solar panels, and especially with Shinnova!

The only two that I met were the ones that did the work at my house. Both were courteous and professional. I had my solar
panels put in 3 yes. ago and have had no problems at all the
only thing that would make it better iß to have some batteries
for when the electricity goes off

Synovia did me a wonderful job mine was being put in during the pandemic and with parts being short they still did well getting me together getting things done I appreciate everything they did. Thank you.

I've had the solar power system for over 3 years and really liked it. My electric bills have been in line with what was estimated. The installation team went above and beyond what was expected. If I were moving and needed to have solar installed, Shinnova Solar is my choice.

I love my solar panels. They work really well, and we love the look they give out house. The installalation team was wonderful and very professional. The office staff is always happy when you call and do everything they can to successfully complete any request and answer any and all questions. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Shinnova installed my solar panels in 2018. Shinnova has been beyond comparison in maintaining my solar system, updating to 5G and replacing components when needed. The Shinnova professionals are always courteous, friendly and knowledgeable regarding their product. I could not have chosen a better solar provider.

we had Shinnova Solar install solar panels to our house in late Spring 2019 and could not be happier! We've seen huge savings with our all electric house (we also run stock tank heaters which are a big energy suck and a garage/shop off the electrical connection) . Only regret? Not doing it 5 yr earlier! GO SOLAR!! GO SHINNOVA!!
