Not a pleasant experience dealing with this company. Took a month to get the parts to fix a roof and we understand that they had no control of. However, they can control their contractors to not lie and actually get a job done properly.
After they claimed that the roof was fixed after a few hours of work (when they came quote it it was supposed to take at least 3 days), husband went to see the roof repair and not only was it not fixed, they clogged up another drain with their leftover materials that were not properly disposed of.
When we tried to call them back they gave us the run around either with the excuse saying manager is on vacation or they'd call us back after paging answering service. So far no response. Seems like they took the money and try to avoid us.
We have had trouble finding residential roofing companies who service Charleston WV since we have owned our older historic home for over two years. Through advertising, Shield Roofing was recommended by a commercial contractor, and an appointment was surprisingly made the day after we called. Dean Shield inspected our roof and chimney for potential leaks and cracks, that have slowly allowed water to infiltrate the internal walls/ceilings of our home (built in 1938). He was able to efficiently determine 3-4 potential leak points using a drone to investigate and take pictures of areas of concern. He spent a lot of time explaining the areas and will write a report detailing our issues to share with Chimney Dr to do the work required. He also recommended and searched up inexpensive fixes/components for our old copper gutter systems. The inspection was free and we offered to pay for the report, but instead wrote an honest review of the service provided. We expect the report to be just as satisfactory. Time and money (free) very well spent. Thanks so much. Very satisfied and appreciated.
