Not a pleasant experience dealing with this company. Took a month to get the parts to fix a roof and we understand that they had no control of. However, they can control their contractors to not lie and actually get a job done properly.

After they claimed that the roof was fixed after a few hours of work (when they came quote it it was supposed to take at least 3 days), husband went to see the roof repair and not only was it not fixed, they clogged up another drain with their leftover materials that were not properly disposed of.

When we tried to call them back they gave us the run around either with the excuse saying manager is on vacation or they'd call us back after paging answering service. So far no response. Seems like they took the money and try to avoid us.

We have had trouble finding residential roofing companies who service Charleston WV since we have owned our older historic home for over two years. Through advertising, Shield Roofing was recommended by a commercial contractor, and an appointment was surprisingly made the day after we called. Dean Shield inspected our roof and chimney for potential leaks and cracks, that have slowly allowed water to infiltrate the internal walls/ceilings of our home (built in 1938). He was able to efficiently determine 3-4 potential leak points using a drone to investigate and take pictures of areas of concern. He spent a lot of time explaining the areas and will write a report detailing our issues to share with Chimney Dr to do the work required. He also recommended and searched up inexpensive fixes/components for our old copper gutter systems. The inspection was free and we offered to pay for the report, but instead wrote an honest review of the service provided. We expect the report to be just as satisfactory. Time and money (free) very well spent. Thanks so much. Very satisfied and appreciated.

We used Shield to replace our roof , gutter guards and siding. The work was flawless, and the crews that came to do the work were incredibly professional. The final look of the new siding has drawn rave reviews from everyone who has seen it.....excellent representation by the salesman, with no upsale by him...good communication throughout the job....I would highly recommend them...

Shield replaced the metal roof on our church, Dunbar First Church of God in the fall of last year. I was so impressed with their quality of work that I hired them to replace the shingle roof on my house. Brandon and Sean were excellent to work with. Beginning with the roof inspection, all the way through project closeout Shield put my best interest first. The labor crew was very respectful and hard working. The value of the new roof can't be beat. Thanks Shield!

We recently decided to have our 20 year old roof replaced. the whole process was easy. Jeff came to the house at times that were convenient for us, walked us through all of the color and product options and gave us a great deal. The install team was polite and kept us updated on the time line to finish the project. we love the way our house looks with the roof and the peace of mind our GAF warranty gives us.

Shield Roofing did the work on my house when the hail storm came through and damaged both my roof and siding. They were excellent to work with, made sure you understood everything that would be taking place, made it super easy and comfortable in picking out new siding/shingles, and their customer services was A+. They finished putting on the roof in a day, and if it had not been for rain, they would have had the siding done on the whole house in a day and a half. The quality of work they did was great, and they left no mess behind while when they left. Highly recommend!

This was a residential job. New roof much overdue. Shield was professional from beginning to end. Did everything they promised--including clean up. Roll type application on sunroom instead of traditional shingles --verdict still out since I have never seen it before, but have had several heavy rains and no leaks so that is a good start.
