We had 3 skylights replaced by Shelter from the Storm. They were AWESOME!!! They did a great job and the installers were very professional! Since the install we have had crazy windstorms and rain. No Leaks or any issues. Would very highly recommend this company for any of your roofing needs!!

This company gave a quote for roof/ventilation repair/replacement to the buyers of my duplex. The quote itself was pretty high, but we ended up going with them anyways since they said they could do a job on-time and before closing. Instead, they delayed for about 10 days, which ended up pushing appraisal and ultimately closing date by a week. On top of all that, when they teared down the roof, they called me asked for additional $3,000 for the work that was not mentioned in the original contract, meaning that I had huge doubt about what they were actually doing, so we were pretty much held at the gun point for needing to pay ton of extra money with the roof wide open. Lastly, as they they were replacing roof, one of their workers ended up stepping into the drywall beneath and made a huge hole in my tenant's closet. As such, I would NOT RECOMMEND this company to anybody. They were pretty smooth and convincing before they took downpayment, but not so much in the execution of work.

Gave a down payment for our roof and the work was never completed.
Tried for a very long time to get our down payment back. After begging we would get back a little and then would have to continue the begging. We are still owed quite a bit and quit chasing Frank th owner.

I'll start by saying that I have needed a new roof for 2 years and I finally had it done by Shelter From The Storm. Over the last 2 years I have had quotes from a total of 5 companies in the Milwaukee area. Everyone said they had the best roofing system and it all seemed to be a sales pitch to me, some were high pressure and took hours. Shelter From The Storm came out and gave me a very straightforward estimate. It was easy, no high pressure 'must buy now' approach, they did not bad mouth other companies, and were just easy to work with. The work is now completed and I couldn't be happier. The crew was friendly, respectful, professional, and kept me updated daily. They cleaned my yard of debris to make sure my child and pets were safe, and when they were done, they checked it again. The roof looks fantastic, they added some diverters on the roof to help with how the water runs off and added a much needed ridge vent - which I appreciated greatly. I am now leak free, looking good, and their warranty seems to be one of the best around. Thank you very much Shelter From The Storm, I will be referring as many people your way as I can. I almost forgot to mention that their pricing was fair (especially considering how tough my roof was to do) and they came in lower than the others with a better product too. A+ guys.

Had the worst luck with these guys. They did our roof. After the first snow melt, water was dripping, actually pouring, down the chimney into the basement. It caused $10,000 in damage. They came back multiple times to try to fix the problem but weren't able to. We ended up needing to hire another company to fix the problem. $3,000 later, we don't have leaks.

The Shelter team did professional work on the sales / color selections, tear-off and replacement of roof, gutters, and chimney cedar siding. Clean-up was very thorough, good care was taken around landscaping and rose garden. Minor complaint on my part was that my garage became nearly inaccessible for about two days, blocked by dumpster and materials. We're very happy with the overall results.

I’m an Insurance agent. My brother in-law and sister inlaw had Shelter From the storm replace their roof. Needless to say they installed the shingles wrong. I know this because we had the shingle company come out and inspect because there was leaking coming from the roof. This was only after the owner of shelter from the storm came out after of year of pleading for him to come out to look at the roof. He agreed that he installed them wrong, but still failed to do anything about it. He even went as far as to say that he would come out and replace it and had a date on the calendar for him to do it. And he failed to hold his end of the deal up. As Their agent we filed a claim for water damage in the house. The insurance company is covering most of the damage. But we still haven’t gotten Shelter from the storm to repair the roof.

The roofing project was done with great care and professionalism. The porch room that was repaired was one of the best decisions we have made regarding our home. Everything was done within the agreed upon budget. Great gob!

My wife and I are buying our first home and needed a new roof on the garage. I called Shelter and explained the situation. They were immediately understanding and willing to help us knowing there was a deadline for completion and did'nt give them a whole lot of time. I knew there were some repairs needed to the decking and left it in their hands. They were very honest and the price was exactly what they said it would be. They did phenomenal work and were completed well before the deadline. I would without a doubt recommend them to anyone.

We hired them to repair a ridge vent. Their first repair failed. It took over Three months (!) of unanswered phone calls, missed appointments, countless lies and excuses to finally get them back to finish the job. If you need a roofer, you can do better than this company.

I have had several situations in which I had to use Shelter From the storm. Needing Roof repairs is never pleasant but Shelter really made a difference. I called 5 people to come look at my roof while I was selling my first home. 1 didnt even show up, 2 didnt bother to get on the roof and recommended replacement. Of the 2 that showed and carefully inspected the roof, neither said it had to be replaced, just small repairs. I had some small mold in the attic and the one made a huge deal about it and estimates were over 10K. Shelter actually looked at it and got in the attic to inspect, they said its fine all it needed was to be killed and painted. I was apprehensive so I called mold experts/inspectors they agreed with Shelter. The total bill was $2500, There honesty saved me over $7500. Since then I have used Shelter 4 times on other properties and I am SO pleased. It is refreshing to hire honest people for a change. Shelter has earned my trust and business. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
