We had our basement finished by Amos at Cream City Remodeling and from start to project end the experience was excellent. At the first consultation Amos had several suggestions that helped to refine our original plans, and was very receptive to small tweaks as we went along, while being very upfront with any extra incurred costs from the upgrades. Communication is definitely a strong point for this company. We were regularly updated on what to expect throughout the project and any questions or concerns were addressed often within minutes of sending an email or a text. We were also pleasantly surprised by how clean Amos and the teams he works with kept everything. In the end the plan was executed perfectly and the space looks and feels incredible. When I started my basement remodel project I had the intention to do a portion of the work myself. After I drew up the plans and contemplated the amount of work it would take I decided to look into having a contractor take on the project for me. I knew it would be a lot of work and I really wanted it done correctly and well. I reached out to a friend who worked in the remodeling industry and she suggested I contact Amos at Cream City Remodeling. After my wife and I meet with Amos and went over the project I was happy with everything about Amos and his company. He had some great ideas to add for my plans and pointed out issues. Especially with some obscure building codes I never heard of. I still had some reservations about the project and Amos suggested I take my time and reach out to some other companies and go over the project with them. So I submitted my project to 3 other companies. In the end my choice came down to Amos / Cream City and another company. My instincts told me that Amos was the contractor to go with and my instincts were right. Working with Amos was great. From the time I told Amos I was going with him I was able to just let everything in his hands and let him do his job.

My husband and I had a vision for our basement to serve multiple purposes: a craft room, an office, an entertainment area, and an exercise zone.

DIY Beginnings:
Eager to get started, I took on the initial framing and subflooring myself. It was a challenging but exciting beginning to our basement transformation project.

We used Cream City Remodeing to install a set of double doors to enclose a room. The work included framing the doorway, installing the double doors, drywall work, painting to match existing and the installation of a glass panel above the doors.

My project was a bit unusual from the start. Simply put, my wife and I tried to do the floor on our own and we ended up biting off more than we could chew.

Amos came in to bid on the construction of my rec room in my basement. His bid was $30,000 less than the other 2 bids I received. He did a mag nificent job, I put a video center, bar, den and full bath. Everything was done quickly with great skill and diligence

Amos and Cream City Remodeling just completed a shiplap ceiling in our basement and installed a backsplash in my kitchen! Both areas turned out amazingly and Amos did a wonderful job! My wife and I took on the challenge of finishing our basement, knowing that after we finished the framing ourselves, we would contract out the rest of the project. It took us awhile, but after completing all the framing, we contacted several area contractors to finish the project. Some companies did not return emails, some were WAY over-priced, and others were just too busy to fit in our project. Funny thing, we were comparing all these companies to Cream City Remodeling because they were the first company to email us back, first to schedule an appointment, and first to provide a job quote. Hiring Cream City Remodeling was an easy decision because no one was as professional, with a personal touch, as Amos from Cream City remodeling.

When Amos first came to the house to look at the basement and provide a quote, he was very thorough in making sure everything we wanted was noted and provided suggestions based upon the prior basement projects he has completed. He did not rush us into decisions nor make us feel like our project was too small for his time (like another company we spoke with!). Our basement finishing project was approximately 900SF.

Throughout the entire project, Amos kept us informed of the building schedule and when sub-contractors would be delivering materials, hanging drywall, running electrical, painting, etc. We always knew the next steps of the project ahead of time. While it might seem like a small thing, Amos was always on-time. If he said he was stopping by at 2pm, he would be here at 2pm. When your house is disrupted with a construction project, it is nice to know that your daily schedule will not be disrupted with a surprise visit or much delayed appointment.

We are INCREDIBLY pleased with the quality work and the entire experience of finishing our basement. Amos treats your home with care and really makes sure you are more than satisfied with the job and addresses every concern or question you may have. I have absolutely no reservations recommending Cream City Remodeling for your basement finishing project. When the time comes to put in a bathroom in our basement, Amos will be hired again to complete the project!

I couldn't have completed the siding and trim install on my house without his knowledge, work ethic, and expertise. He was critical in the layout and design, working with the specialty product, and overall correct completion within a very tight timeframe. He also helped complete a bathroom remodel of my tub and shower refurbishment, ontop of offering general experience in many aspects of construction projects.

We were fortunate enough to have Cream City Remodeling come all the way down to TENNESSEE to do a complete remodel of our downstairs bathroom and we were given the bathroom of our dreams! Seriously, I could not believe how perfect it turned out. We just let them run with the vision they saw after we told them some of the design features we wanted. Amos and his assistant created the perfect bathroom in a very challenging work space. They worked long days and knocked it out. It was a joy to work with Cream City and honestly I don't really want anyone else in my house doing renovation work except this company. I HIGHLY recommend them. Amos is absolutely amazing! Amos did beautiful job with both the rough and finish carpentry work for my basement. Everything was on time, on budget, and very high quality. He did the carpentry for our house originally, so I was very confident using him for our basement.

Amos put me in touch with an incredible group of sub-contractors, that were a delight to work with, and he was always willing to help me out if I had questions. We had a useless door replaced with a bay window. The contractor worked with us on both interior and exterior design and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. The work is absolutely beautiful and makes our whole house bright and light.
