We just had our patio cover installed with the finishing touches last Friday. We were initially told it would be mid-June so imagine our surprise when we received a call the install would be on Thursday. The crew was professional, hard working and efficient in their efforts to complete the job. They indulged my many questions throughout the process. The finished product - more than we could have ever imagined. It totally finishes our backyard! Do what we did. Get a free estimate from a professional, make a decision that will change your home and you will not be disappointed!

We were pleasantly surprised how affordable this pavillion was and moved ahead enthusiatically. The sales persons were very knowledgeable and informative. I was able to choose from pictures they had. When the time came for the install, we were informed every step of the way. The installers were super great. They answered all of our questions and kept us up-to-date during the whole process. They did a superb job and cleaned up to perfection afterwards. The pavillion itself is even so much better than we even dared hope to dream. It's very well made, looks incredible, and blends into our landscape wonderfully. The posts to the structure are sunk deep into the ground through our concrete patio and into the ground with concrete. It's not going anywhere and will last us forever. We are ecstatic with this purchase and with Shadeworks all the way from placing the order to final completion. We will be enjoying this structure in our garden for years to come.

We love our ShadeWorks pergola! Shade Works was very prompt and professional through the whole process from bid to completion. One of the biggest issues I have with contractors today is lack of communication. ShadeWorks was not a typical contractor, they provided constant communication through the process and followed up after to make sure project was completed to satisfaction. I would recommend ShadeWorks for your outdoor shade needs.

Without question one of the most professional contractors we have ever worked with. From planning, permitting and final implementation their communication level is off the chart. And as for the final product we couldn't be more pleased. We highly; recommend them!

We are very pleased with the new deck cover. Shadeworks was prompt in scheduling a time to come do the bid, showed us samples of the colors so we could get the best one for us, and were in contact with us regarding when the work on our project would start. Once they came to install, the workers were awesome, letting us know what they were doing. They were faster than the time estimate we were given and they cleaned up our yard when they were finished. We also love that it is maintenance free. We are very happy with the finished look and highly recommend them!

We had a really great experience with Shadeworks, from the planning process to the installation. The installers were professional and made sure that everything was as planned, even asking questions before certain phases of the installation to ensure it met our needs. The product looks great and is currently holding up well.

I tried several places to get estimates for a patio cover with no luck. They wouldn't answer phone calls or reply to internet inquiries. I asked for an estimate from Shadeworks on their website and received a phone call within 2 hours. The sales staff showed up on time to give the estimate and were very professional. It took a few weeks for the work to start but stayed in weekly contact and actually started working sooner than the estimated time. The workers that put up the cover showed up on time, did great work and cleaned up after themselves. I was pleasantly surprised how smooth the project went. Shadeworks is a very professional, well run business.

I had Shadeworks install a small additional piece of the cover they did for me last summer. Even though it was a small, low cost job they scheduled quickly and completed the job professionally. I highly recommend them for any job, large or small.

Make sure to ask if a pergola will truly give you shade if this is what you’re looking for because it won’t. Especially if you are looking for shade to the south or west. 50% shade from the top is worthless.
After you realize this, after installation, they will suggest roller shades. These are expensive, blow in the wind and block the views being outside can provide.
After evaluating their response, I must add that they offered to install a screen at $99.00/hr plus the cost of the screen.
They would not tell their cost of the screen and they didn’t offer to install a cheaper one from Home Depot.
They are the shade experts. I requested shade and the salesman even suggested we extend way out over the grass to insure we would get it.

I never got to find out it they were decent or not. I called and asked for someone to come out and provide me a quote. I was asked for details of the job, so I gave some rough measurements and explained what I was asking for. The woman I spoke to, told me that the job was going to be a minimum of $5000, asked if I was OK with that. Told her, I wasn't because I was being told this sight unseen and that I had concerns over acknowledging anything when you haven't seen the job. I did indicate it may very well be a $5k job, but you need to come out, see the job and explain to me (I am a novice, you're the expert) what's involved in the job. She took my name, phone number and email address, indicated she would have a sales person contact me. It's been almost 2 weeks haven't heard a thing from them. That's my experience with this company.

We would highly recommend Shadeworks for an awning project. We love the new awning that we have. The entire process was so easy and I kept wondering when the problems would occur. We had no problems!! We were kept informed all the way through the waiting time and they were right on the promised time.
The two gentlemen who completed the work were putting our awning up in snow, wind and very very cold temperatures.
We love how the awning looks and how it blends with the style of our home. We would definitely recommend this company for an awning project.

I love my deck cover! I have wanted one for some time and was worried when the snow hit before it was up. I had many reservations, but the crew was willing to do what it took to clear the snow and build me a cover over my deck. The crew was quick and most of all cordial and friendly to work with. Never a hint of frustration with all the obstacles in their way, very pleasant and kind. Once the process started it was done before I knew it! I love it!!

We had first heard of SHADEWORKS when we saw them installing/constructing a pergola at a home in our neighborhood a few years ago and really liked what we saw. We recently moved into a new home and planned specifically a patio area for a pergola and called SHADEWORKS for a bid. We loved the style options available and felt that the construction process sounded strong and secure to withstand the Eastern Idaho winds. When Chris gave us a firm scheduled install date we were pleasantly surprised to have them show up a week prior to start the install. Greg and his crew did an amazing job of constructing the pergola, working together like a well-oiled machine. All the products were neatly organized on the lawn so that the build was smooth and efficient. They were so careful with picking up packaging materials as they worked. Nothing was ever out of order, and they were extremely mindful of their ladders etc. so as not to interfere with landscape. Greg was extremely pleasant, respectful, and professional. We would highly recommend SHADEWORKS to anyone looking for a beautiful addition to their yardscape.

Shadeworks added a Deck Cover-we are very pleased with our new deck cover. Our deck has not been used much for about 20 years. We wrestled with umbrellas for years-Some worked but most didn’t.
Shadeworks sent two young men to install the cover. They were very pleasant and encouraged us to ask question, take pictures, and watch the build. They both worked very hard every minute they were here. They were very neat and professional in every aspect of the build.
The quality of the materials used was very high and much more than we expected. The design was very well thought out. The process has been quite smooth and timely.
We love having an additional open room added to our home. It has already cooled our home almost immediately.

Chris and Greg and the rest of the crew were phenomenal to work with. If you're looking for a business that is client-focused, detailed, or credible then you have to go with shadeworks. I was looking for a company that does patios because I needed something to cover my newly poured concrete. I came across shadeworks when I googled covered patios and a video popped up of different patio styles. I had them come out and give me an estimate and I loved how Chris was very detailed with which patio best covered my concrete and the price that worked with my budget. When Greg and his crew showed up, they worked fast and in 2 days I had a patio. He noticed that some of the ceiling colors didn't match. Honestly, I never would have noticed. But he was adamant it all needed to be replaced. He apologized for the inconvenience, re-ordered new ceiling slats and that's when my wife and I knew these guys cared about us. Don't think about this one too hard, Shadeworks is a great company!!

We have been very pleased with the service we have received through ShadeWorks! They have been great to work with and they have provided wonderful service! The employees are kind and are very helpful! We have had to wait for a few things due to shipping delays (like everything with COVID) and the weather, and ShadeWorks has kept us informed and worked diligently to finish up our project.

We absolutely love having our patio cover! We have been very happy with the look and the quality!

We have a hot tub and before the patio cover was installed, the hot tub was a little too warm in the summer from the sun beating on it all day. Since we have had the cover installed, we are able to control the temperature of the water in the tub.

We have the West sun and so it would beat in our windows all afternoon and evening. The patio cover has helped reduce the sun coming into our home later in the afternoon. I love being able to have my blinds open for most of the day.

We LOVE the patio cover and are very happy with the design and the look of our backyard now. We were going back and forth weather we should do the entire width of the house and we are so glad we did! We were also happy that ShadeWorks could work with our two different roof lines to make it perfect! The patio cover was a great addition!

I had no idea that the gutters on my patio cover were so clogged with debris. Greg and his partner did an amazing job of cleaning it out. Greg even went home to get his power washer to blast it out because it was so compacted. They did great cleaning everything up afterword and left it all looking better than when they arrived. They installed a combination pergola/solid awning on my house two years ago. I had a leak on my patio and they came out to check it out and found a problem with a roof shingle and also did some minor maintenance on part of the solid awning.

I was so impressed with the customer service of Shadeworks. It is the very best I have received from any construction company in Idaho Falls. They are very professional, come when they say they will, warn you in advance if they cannot, and the workers were considerate and cleaned up after the job. They even did my patio cover in the winter with snow on the ground.

We are actually very happy with the actual ShadeWorks product, however we were extremely disappointed with the process of getting our product ordered. Our sales person, Steve, submitted an order BEFORE we got HOA approval which caused a huge ordeal. The salesperson also explained financing details to us that were incredibly incorrect. Now we are stuck solving the financing issues on our own. I'm horrified on how knowledgeable and careless our representative has been. The only reason for the two stars, is because our product is actually very beautiful.

My wife and I love our patio cover. We have already enjoyed the protection it provides from rain. The crew assembled it quickly and it looks like it was part of our house. If you are looking for a patio cover we highly recommend Shade works.

From the day of our estimate to the time the job got done we had weekly contact with shade works with them telling us when they were expected to work on our porch cover (BIG plus) When the day came the job was done quickly and professionally despite very windy weather. Everything looks top notch and we are very happy with the quality of work we have received (a huge plus).
