Servpro/Harrisonburg's mitigation efforts were timely and effective. Their restoration team had a very challenging job of facilitating the needs of one client (after an unfortunate water incident) who was trying to sell a home as part of an estate and the desires of another who was buying the home and wanted upgrades. While there were opportunities to improve the experience; such as quality control of sub-contractor efforts and regular written updates of the overall process, their staff was always professional, customer focused, and very responsive to our needs. I highly recommend them for any of your business or residential mitigation and recovery needs.

We called ServePro and they came within a few days to clean our crawl space so that plumbing work could be done. They were very responsive and we were so pleased that we didn’t have to wait for them to take care of our needs. I recently had to call a plumber to clean out a blockage in my sewer line that caused it to back up in my basement drain. I called Servpro to clean up the mess that was left. I was so impressed, when I called, she said they would be out that evening but it was only a couple of hours after the plumbers left. Kaden Welcher and Kyle I believe it was took care of my problem. Kaden was very friendly and thorough, which was nice after dealing with the crabby plumber. It looks like nothing ever happened (and it was a disgusting mess). I would recommend them highly!!!!! Great job guys!

They sent Kaden and Kyle out , who are awesome. They are so professional,kind , thorough and definitely care about their clients and the job they do. They worked around my crazy night shift schedule too. They brought Alex,Carmen and Aliesky who worked so hard, getting everything out of my basement to a huge dumpster and they filled it. ServPro helped us out after a major water leak incident. Not only did they do a great job remediating the water, they helped out a tenant that was affected by it. Top notch!

We appreciate the work this company is doing to restore our house after the fire on September 6, 2024. A fire is an awful thing to go through, and restoration is also difficult, but the workers have done an excellent job of making this process as painless as possible for us.

While the fire was contained to the kitchen, smoke and soot managed to get everywhere in the house. The cleaning crew supervised by Alexia was prompt and efficient, very pleasant and professional. Also, the painting crew (Suzie) has shown up on time every day, worked quietly and quickly, and are very careful and thorough.

Everyone we've interacted with so far has been polite, cordial, efficient, and listened to all our questions and concerns, and responses are very quick. Our phone calls are always answered immediately, and the staff sends the message to the appropriate person. So far, we haven't had a single complaint about their work.

While there is still a lot to be done, we are confident that all ensuing work will be completed in a timely and efficient manner.

It's a big relief to know that we can rely on a professional company with great workers to ensure that our house restoration is handled in the best way possible for us.

Wouldn’t even give one star if I could. Servpro out of harrisonburg Va Came in my home to do the demo removal for a washer leak and didn’t put up any kind of containment in my living room and upstairs and didn’t even have enough respect or decency to even apologize for causing dust to go through my entire house then they call me the very next day and lie to me saying my insurance company decided to go with a different company for the rebuild witch my insurance said no such thing ) between them walking through my mulch and my grass on the very first day while it’s raining out and tracking dirt and mud through my house and not using disposable shoe covers not putting up any kind of containment for the dust was very unprofessional of them and apparently they can’t deal with negative criticism or a customer that’s unhappy about their work because then there feelings get hurt and just decide they’re done with the project and are not going to do the rebuild . The owner of this company needs to reevaluate the people he hires as managers and employees … totally unprofessional would never use them again for anything

Dale and Steve did an excellent job at demoing and cleaning the damage caused by our leaking pipes. They were empathetic, personable, and extremely professional with all the necessary tools in their tool belts. All things considered, our house is truly as if they had never been here!

I can only give 3 stars, though I would have gladly given 5. The guys who came out to take care of the water mitigation after tropical storm Debby were great and they did a thorough job. I would give them 10 stars if I could. However, when I called today to set up further repair (insulation/drywall/paint) the rebuild manager refused to take the job. He wouldn’t even speak to me. Instead, he sent the phone rep back to inform me that “it wasn’t enough” work for them to do, “they have a minimum amount that they’ll charge” (…Okay, so?) and “they are backed up.” I hope my roof doesn’t leak again, but if it does, I will work with a company who is willing to do the job from start to finish.

We are so grateful for all the work Servpro did. We had a severe water leak that caused us to have to remove everything, walls to subflooring, in our laundry room and bathroom. Eric Campbell along with the others involved did a great job on making sure our home was restored to excellent condition. Thank you all so much for everything you did!!

Chris and Johan did an amazing job mitigating the damage after Tropical Storm Debby. They cleared everything out and gave detailed information on the process. They were highly professional and workman like in their ability to do their job. I am very appreciative of all their time, attention, and hard work.

I recently had a water hose leading to my toilet break and flood my bathroom, laundry room, part of the kitchen and most of my basement. Kaden, Chris and their team were there almost immediately setting up for the mitigation process. They were very professional; explaining the process and exactly what they were doing as they went along. They showed up everyday when they said they would to monitor the moisture content in the walls and flooring. After each visit they shared their findings with me and were able to give me an estimate as to when the work would be completed. I would highly recommend the Harrisonburg Servepro group.

Our Serv Pro tech, John Pritchett, was concerned and most caring for the dilemma we experienced with the water damage that incurred from a ruptured hot water heater in an adjacent room. Because of my elderly husband’s health issues he was able to create a safe and healthy environment within that room so my husband could relax and enjoy his daily TV programs. When he wasn’t here, he checked on us daily with a phone call. He was punctual and courteous and he made a disastrous situation at least tolerable for both us. We highly recommend him and Serv Pro and we are most grateful for their fantastic, professional service.

Bottom Line Up Front: my experiences with Servpro of Rockingham County were very gratifying. My wife and I have been dealing with two family emergencies one in MD the other in PA. Upon returning from PA two weeks ago we discovered that our 50 gallon hot water tank had leaked many gallons of water in the unfinished portion of our basement but much of that water wicked into the carpeting in the finished portion of the basement. What a mess. After the plumbers replaced the hot water heater Servpro arrived and removed carpet padding and placed three large fans under the carpeting in the finished portion of the basement. They also added five fans and one dehumidifier in the unfinished portion to the basement - now that is thorough. After the drying was completed, Eric Campbell came to our home, prepared a detailed estimate, and was more than accommodating and empathic to our ever changing family driven schedule. The repair crew arrived today at exactly 9 am as promised and did a professional job of restoring the carpeted area to like "it never happened." I hope that I don't ever need ServPro but if I do I will know who to call. I rarely do surveys but I'll make an exception in the case of Servpro. I'm a retired Marine Pilot and our mantra was "on time, on target" and Servpro was certainly "on time and on target."

Chris was quickly responsive as the on call representative I spoke to after hours around 9pm. The next morning he was on site at 9am to assess the water damage we had encountered and provide a quote. He and his team were quick to get flooring and baseboard pulled up and the combination of fans and dehumidifier running for a few days was able to save us from having to remove any drywall. Highly recommend this team.

We had to use ServPro after our dishwasher leaked under our kitchen floor. Their rep was extremely helpful, responsive, and professional. We were able to get a quote and the work started quickly. Their techs were professional and respectful of our situation and belongings. This location of ServPro definitely made a rough situation just a tad easier!

The representatives were so professional, and explained in detail everything to me before it happened. The job that they did was fantastic. They were very neat and clean. ServPro of Harrisonburg has been so outstanding EVERY SINGLE time I’ve needed them 100%! I recommend them always! And Natalie and her crews are spot on, bar none!!!!

Please do not hire this company! I will state that almost every person I dealt with was incredibly pleasant but that is unfortunately the only positive thing I can say about them.
My insurance company hired this company to come in and handle water/mold remediation. They came in and started the job but did not remove all the moldy material (including material my insurance adjuster stated would absolutely be removed and replaced).

They eventually came back in to continue the job of remediation and, in that process, said they had a “sprayer malfunction” which resulted in splattered paint over personal property. What they did not disclose was the amount of property splattered (in fact, they appear to have moved items so that damage would not be visible), the fact that they spray-painted property in multiple rooms, that they damaged walls by ripping out anchored furniture, and broke furniture.

As part of the agreement to fix the damage from the original incomplete remediation, they agreed to clean the contents of my home. Unfortunately, they didn’t agree to do so in a timely fashion and refused to do any work or even return calls for three months, leaving me homeless in the meantime.

When they finally agreed to come in and finish the work, more personal items and more walls were damaged. While I have an email that they would fix the “splattered” property, when approached the owner promised a return call and has instead ghosted me again, for another two months.

In the meantime, I’m out thousands in property damage and living expenses, most of which was avoidable and in part caused by seemingly deliberate delays.

Once again, I found that almost every employee was incredibly pleasant to deal with. There were multiple missed appointments, according to staff caused by miscommunication within their office. Information wasn’t sent as it was promised to be. Their equipment wasn’t picked up when it was supposed to be. And I consistently missed work when I didn’t need to when the company didn’t show up as promised.

I’ve dealt with multiple contractors to fix the issues caused by the remediation process. Each time someone new comes to the house, they look around and ask who started the job. When I tell them, I hear the same thing every time – that from their understanding, the owners are relatively new, jobs aren’t being done correctly, and they are being called out multiple times to follow up behind ServPro and fix their mistakes. That combined with the fact that I’ve now heard several horror stories from other unhappy and un-helped customers makes me wish that my insurance had never contacted ServPro.

If you do contact them, I hope you have better luck than I did. A helpful suggestion – consider hiring a reputable home inspector/mold inspector first to have their report about how the remediation company needs to make repairs.

Edit: Apparently, based on the company's response to my review, the company either keeps no records of conversations or is willing to bend the truth to make themselves look better. I spoke with office staff about damages when I paid my final invoice, the owner followed up on my conversation with office staff and claimed he'd talk to the project manager and get back to me. He never did follow up, and this was well after work was completed. I'll edit my review if they actually follow through but I maintain probably not the best company to hire if they are either incompetent or untruthful.

From the on-call staff, office manager Natalie, the on-site team with Kaden, this experience was better than I could have expected. The professionalism, quick service, and attention to detail sets this business apart. Highly recommend!!

The administrative staff and gentlemen (Cody and Chris) that came out to handle my issue have been amazing throughout this process. They were so quick to get out to me. It was the next day (after calling late the evening before!) and they were there and took care of the issue in little time. They were very professional, excellent quality, work, very thorough in explaining what they were doing, and all around kind individuals. Let’s hope I never have to use them again, but if I did, I would go back in a heartbeat.

There were some very disappointing aspects to the remediation. While it took six months to complete the project, I am under the impression that Zach who is the Operations Manager for the remediation had only been out to the house twice and both times with me. I understand that the company became busy after the freeze that we had in December, and I mentioned to John Prichett that I understood how important it was to make sure that the water mitigation was on those other jobs, so if they needed to step away from my job for a little bit I would understand. When work started up again at the house a sub-contractor came in to do the demolition, which initially was fine. When I came by the house, I noticed that the sub-contractors had been using my tools that were downstairs in the basement and leaving them around the house. I have yet to go through my tools to see if any are missing. On a subsequent trip to the house with Daniel (reconstruction), when I arrived at the house there was a five-foot-tall pile of drywall outside of the house and the flower beds and front yard was covered with drywall remnants. All the windows were left open to the house, they had thrown drywall through the windows and in the living room, the double window frame was damaged in the lower left-hand corner due to their negligence. Pictures were taken by Daniel. When the sub-contractors were supposedly done with the demo of the residence, I went back to the house, and it was in shambles. The house was not anywhere near clean, windows were still left open, and there were tools and trash all over the place to include my shop-vac hanging from the rafters in the attic. It was completely unacceptable. I ended up taking a week off work to straighten up and clean the house to include multiple trips to the county landfill taking out trash from the house. I do understand that demo is a messy job, however there was a large lack of respect for how the sub-contractors left the house.

In the end of it all I ending up paying ServPro $71,000 for the remediation. The owner of the company Art called me a liar, treated me as if I was a child, informed me that I should not have seen the estimate because it was just between ServPro and the insurance company. They falsified work that had been done and equipment used, Changed the pricing on the estimate. Initial estimate was for $51,000. Work that was stated on the final estimate showed work that ServPro had not done and I had done. Art informed me that I did that work on my own willingness and that he expected to get paid for the work that he did not perform. Matter fact his quote to me was "That is my money and not yours and I want it, because it was approved by the insurance and I don't have a right to it"
