I navigated my existing tiny shower in a wheelchair and walker for 3 months after breaking my leg summer 2024. It was a nightmare! I was totally impressed with the presentation on aging in place that Chris Moore gave at a seminar sponsored by VATECH that fall. I knew he and Solid Rock Enterprises could make my bathroom remodeling job a dream come true. Chris is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). He, his team, and all their subcontractors were wonderful to work with. The results are stylish, safe, efficient, and a much better use of existing space. Solid Rock Enterprises, Inc. recently removed the original tub and installed a curbless shower (including handheld shower head, grab bars and fold down shower seat with legs) at my parent's home. Chris came out promptly to give an estimate, ordered the materials needed, and scheduled installation. Project was begun just a few days after receipt of materials. The installers were pleasant and professional. They always kept us informed about how the project was progressing and what time they would be arriving and leaving. This is the second time we have used Solid Rock for a bath project and have been EXTREMELY pleased with their work each time. Don't hesitate to call them for an estimate!

We had our screened in porch enclosed as an all season sun room. It looks like it was part of the original house. They did a beautiful job.

Solid Rock Enterprises removed my original tub/shower and installed an easy access walk-in shower with grab bars. They will work with you to best accommodate your wants and needs. One of their employees even made slats out of locust wood to replace the slats on my flip-down seat because locust wood is more water resistant. (That was above and beyond my contract with SRE.) Furthermore, SRE was good at resolving some unexpected issues that no one foresaw when the installation began. SRE was also quick to fix several minor issues that arose after the installation was complete. They guarantee their work. I am definitely enjoying my new shower stall.

We needed shower grab bars installed for a family member coming home from re-hab. Called on Tuesday, they were there on Thursday afternoon performing the installation. We couldn't be happier with their work or the company! The owner and all employees were on time, extremely professional, respectful, considerate, and did an excellent job!

Our desire was to keep my father-in-law with us during the final stages of his life so that we could care for him and help him with quality of life. Solid Rock Enterprises provided and installed the ramps that allowed my wife to get him in and out of the house without my help. This made our lives much easier and we are grateful that we were able to keep dad at home. The team was professional and kind. Great Experience! Solid Rock Enterprises worked very hard to give my totally disabled husband a wonderful shower that he can use instead of having bed baths. Everyone there was hard working, caring professionals. They also built a great deck and ramp for his wheelchair so he can get outside. When they were finished with the work, we really missed them coming to our house. Thank you Solid Rock.

Chris and his entire staff were courteous, knowledgeable, and thorough throughout our installation. Being handicapped, they installed a ceiling lift system to allow me to get to the bed, shower, bathtub and toilet. The job took awhile but to no fault of theirs. We were delayed by the manufacturer and needed additional parts. First rate company to deal with.

Reliable, professional, friendly, stress-free…these are qualities of the SRE team. They completed a remodel to accommodate our son who is a combat injured veteran. They handled all of the VA grant paperwork in addition to doing an exceptional remodel. We were so pleased, we contracted with SRE to also complete a new build. We are extremely pleased with the work they performed on both projects. SRE will be our 1st choice in home projects in the future.

Chris Moore and his team at Solid Rock Enterprises just completed a major repair for us on a second story screened porch at our home at Smith Mountain Lake. The needed repairs arose from earlier new construction done by another contractor six years earlier who failed to properly flash the porch perimeter. The project was daunting as all the joists in our upper story porch had to be replaced due to water infiltration damage, while the integrity and finish of the existing roof, porch columns, and finished dry patio area underneath all had to be retained.

I spoke with 5 contractors before finding SRE in an expanded internet search. Every other contractor refused to get involved due to the risk and uncertainty of the work required. Perhaps because SRE does a significant amount of home remodeling for handicapped or disabled home owners, especially injured military service personnel, Chris was able to see ways to confidently solve the engineering and construction where others simply gave up.

Beyond his imagination and drive to deliver a solution, SRE's team also approached their project for us with a high degree of professionalism, attention to detail and workmanship. Our project was completed on time and below budget. Additionally, when we had a few punch list items at the end, Chris took every action necessary to make sure I was totally satisfied with the work.

Chris Moore and his team are a rare breed these days. I totally recommend that you consider SRE in connection with any remodeling or new construction.

Chris and his staff did a great job in remodeling our master bathroom to make it handicapped accessible. Doors were widened, shower was modified to a zero entry shower with seat and handheld fixtures, completely retiled and painted, vanity modified to make it handicapped accessible. Chris listened to our wish list and made suggestions based on his expertise. The end product was beautiful and functional. His construction crew were punctual and professional. I would and have recommend Solid Rock Enterprises.

Chris Moore led a Certified Aging in Place Class for the National Association of Home Builders that I attended. Chris was very knowledgeable about remodeling and construction, client relations, marketing and good business practices. Although I haven't used his construction services, as a contractor myself, I can tell anyone who chose his company would be choosing well.

Chris Moore did a fantastic job remodeling my house. I'm a disabled veteran and he came to my home, removed the garden tub and replaced it with a wonderful new shower. He also widened my doors so I could get my power chair in and out of my home. I called him a few years later thinking I had a crack in the floor of the shower thinking it might be leaking. He came right out that day and checked it out. Told me it was not a crack, just a scratch. He even went though the crawl space under my home and fixed it where my insulation was falling. Asked him how much I owed him and he wouldn't take a dime. Chris is an honest Christian man and I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Chris for putting my life at ease. God Bless You.

I just finished CAPS I, II AND III online classes through NAHB. I have taken many online classes and Chris was the very best instructor that I have ever had! I was amazed at the patience this man displayed through the whole 3 days! I never once heard inflections in his voice when I interrupted for questions or asked him to repeat what he just said. Chris Moore demonstrates integrity that just isn't seen these days. I feel very honored to know him!

Chris and his team rebuilt our staircase, changing the orientation 180º. It was a far more involved job than my wife and I had envisioned, but SRE handled all the aspects for us, from structural to electrical design to cosmetics. On every step, Chris paid great attention to our desires and made sure everything was exactly as we'd discussed. Where we didn't have a fixed idea, he provided options.

The end result was amazing, and it totally changed the flow of our house and room layout!
